"Security" se još uvijek nalazi u ponudi "A1 Videoteke", u kategoriji "akcija", dugih pet godina nakon premijere. Mnogi akcijski filmovi dođu i odu, posebice oni direktno-na-video (DTV) vrste, ali "Security" se održao, toliko da, evo, obilježavamo njegovu petu godišnjicu.

Nije "Security" film kojeg treba slaviti, ali je više nego pristojan akcić za (recentne) DTV standarde koji uvelike kapitalizira na angažmanu Antonija Banderasa i oskarovca Bena Kingsleyja u ulogama akcijskog junaka i negativca s britanskim naglaskom.

Sve i da ne znate o čemu se u filmu radi, odnosno gdje se odvija, već iz ovoga "akcijski junak i negativac britanskog naglaska" možete naslutiti da je riječ o varijaciji "Umri muški" koncepta s Banderasom na mjestu Brucea Willisa i Kingsleyjem kao zlikovcem na tragu Alanom Rickmanom.

Devedesetih, u vrijeme kad se Banderas akcijski junačio kao Desperado, "Security" bi se vjerojatno izgubio u moru "diehardovskih" akcija od "Umri muški 2" nadalje ("Pod opsadom", "Putnik 57", "Iznenadna smrt", "Pod opsadom 2", "Konačna odluka", "Hrid", "Air Force One"...). Možda bi i djelovao kao akcijska parodija "Die Hard 12: Die Hungry" koju je snimio Ben Stiller umirući muški u supermarketu.

Jer, "Security" se odvija u šoping centru, gdje Banderas umire muški kao zaštitar. Međutim, kako se posljednjih godina tek tu i tamo snimi neki "diehardovski" film ("Pad Olimpa", "Misija: Bijela kuća"), "Security" je razmjerno osvježenje, koliko god bio formulaičan.

Osvježavajuć je i Banderasov "willisovski" junak "everyman" etikete, Eduardo "Eddie" Deacon, bivši specijalac koji ima obiteljskih problema (razveden, kćerka živi s majkom) i spaja financijski kraj s krajem, uslijed čega prihvaća posao zaštitara u šoping centru izvan grada.

"Nisam radio godinu dana, radit ću sve", govori on i pristaje na "minimalnu plaću i groznu satnicu". Prve večeri na poslu na vrata šoping centra pokuca 11-godišnja djevojka Jamie (Katherine de la Rocha) u bijegu od nekoga. "Oni dolaze", poviče djevojka koju Eddie i ostali zaštitari primaju unutra, ali ubrzo za njom eto "njih", tj. njezinih progonitelja, bande predvođene Charliejem (Kingsley) koji želi terminirati djevojku s obzirom da je kao svjedokinja vidjela nešto što nije smjela.

Charlie i ekipa su naoružani do zuba, a zaštitari imaju samo "tasere", barem dok ne osvoje pištolje napadača, ali u prilog im ide "prednost domaćeg terena". Neki od zaštitarskih likova su dežurna smetala i bilo bi bolje da je Banderas sam protiv svih, kao što je to bio Willis, no Eddie, srećom, vodi glavnu riječ u akciji.

Banderas je fino raspoložen nakon što se vratio akciji kao dio akcijskog ansambla u "Plaćenicima 3", u dobroj je formi za tadašnjeg 57-godišnjaka i dobio je svoj samostalni (povratnički) "old man in action" film, kakvi su postali trend nakon akcijašenja Liama Neesona ("96 sati"), Kevina Costnera ("3 dana za ubojstvo"), Piercea Brosnana ("November Man") i Seana Penna ("Gunman").

Vatreni Španjolac na mahove pristupa akciji kao plesu "flamencu" i ima pokrete toreadora u borbi protiv bikova (negativaca). Na ruku mu ide i to što se redatelj Alain Desrochers ugleda na gracioznu "slow motion" režiju Johna Wooa ("Žestoki policajac", "Teška meta", "Slomljena strijela", "Čovjek bez lica"). Vrhunac akcije dolazi u trenutku Banderasova klizanja s dva pištolja u usporenom pokretu. Nedostajali su samo golubovi u letu da "vuovska" akcijska scena bude potpuna.

Od akcije do Oscara

Dvije godine nakon ovog filma Banderas je glumio u drami "Tuga i slava" te dobio prvu nominaciju za Oscara.

"Security" se još uvijek nalazi u ponudi "A1 Videoteke", u kategoriji "akcija", dugih pet godina nakon premijere. Mnogi akcijski filmovi dođu i odu, posebice oni direktno-na-video (DTV) vrste, ali "Security" se održao, toliko da, evo, obilježavamo njegovu petu godišnjicu.

Nije "Security" film kojeg treba slaviti, ali je više nego pristojan akcić za (recentne) DTV standarde koji uvelike kapitalizira na angažmanu Antonija Banderasa i oskarovca Bena Kingsleyja u ulogama akcijskog junaka i negativca s britanskim naglaskom.

Sve i da ne znate o čemu se u filmu radi, odnosno gdje se odvija, već iz ovoga "akcijski junak i negativac britanskog naglaska" možete naslutiti da je riječ o varijaciji "Umri muški" koncepta s Banderasom na mjestu Brucea Willisa i Kingsleyjem kao zlikovcem na tragu Alanom Rickmanom.

Devedesetih, u vrijeme kad se Banderas akcijski junačio kao Desperado, "Security" bi se vjerojatno izgubio u moru "diehardovskih" akcija od "Umri muški 2" nadalje ("Pod opsadom", "Putnik 57", "Iznenadna smrt", "Pod opsadom 2", "Konačna odluka", "Hrid", "Air Force One"...). Možda bi i djelovao kao akcijska parodija "Die Hard 12: Die Hungry" koju je snimio Ben Stiller umirući muški u supermarketu.

Jer, "Security" se odvija u šoping centru, gdje Banderas umire muški kao zaštitar. Međutim, kako se posljednjih godina tek tu i tamo snimi neki "diehardovski" film ("Pad Olimpa", "Misija: Bijela kuća"), "Security" je razmjerno osvježenje, koliko god bio formulaičan.

Osvježavajuć je i Banderasov "willisovski" junak "everyman" etikete, Eduardo "Eddie" Deacon, bivši specijalac koji ima obiteljskih problema (razveden, kćerka živi s majkom) i spaja financijski kraj s krajem, uslijed čega prihvaća posao zaštitara u šoping centru izvan grada.

"Nisam radio godinu dana, radit ću sve", govori on i pristaje na "minimalnu plaću i groznu satnicu". Prve večeri na poslu na vrata šoping centra pokuca 11-godišnja djevojka Jamie (Katherine de la Rocha) u bijegu od nekoga. "Oni dolaze", poviče djevojka koju Eddie i ostali zaštitari primaju unutra, ali ubrzo za njom eto "njih", tj. njezinih progonitelja, bande predvođene Charliejem (Kingsley) koji želi terminirati djevojku s obzirom da je kao svjedokinja vidjela nešto što nije smjela.

Charlie i ekipa su naoružani do zuba, a zaštitari imaju samo "tasere", barem dok ne osvoje pištolje napadača, ali u prilog im ide "prednost domaćeg terena". Neki od zaštitarskih likova su dežurna smetala i bilo bi bolje da je Banderas sam protiv svih, kao što je to bio Willis, no Eddie, srećom, vodi glavnu riječ u akciji.

Banderas je fino raspoložen nakon što se vratio akciji kao dio akcijskog ansambla u "Plaćenicima 3", u dobroj je formi za tadašnjeg 57-godišnjaka i dobio je svoj samostalni (povratnički) "old man in action" film, kakvi su postali trend nakon akcijašenja Liama Neesona ("96 sati"), Kevina Costnera ("3 dana za ubojstvo"), Piercea Brosnana ("November Man") i Seana Penna ("Gunman").

Vatreni Španjolac na mahove pristupa akciji kao plesu "flamencu" i ima pokrete toreadora u borbi protiv bikova (negativaca). Na ruku mu ide i to što se redatelj Alain Desrochers ugleda na gracioznu "slow motion" režiju Johna Wooa ("Žestoki policajac", "Teška meta", "Slomljena strijela", "Čovjek bez lica"). Vrhunac akcije dolazi u trenutku Banderasova klizanja s dva pištolja u usporenom pokretu. Nedostajali su samo golubovi u letu da "vuovska" akcijska scena bude potpuna.

Od akcije do Oscara

Dvije godine nakon ovog filma Banderas je glumio u drami "Tuga i slava" te dobio prvu nominaciju za Oscara.
