Svakog-tjedna-po-jedan-film najava Netflixove filmske 2021. godine oduševila je većinu gledano po vibri s društvenih mreža. Međutim, nešto trezveniji filmofili nisu tako povodljivi i pristupaju opreznije filmovima s logom Netflixa, znajući da se nerijetko razočaraju kad otvore šareni artikl umotan u atraktivan paket.

Da oprez nije nadomet potvrđuje prvi Netflixov film 2021., SF akcija "Outside The Wire" ili "S druge strane ograde" švedskog redatelja na radu u Hollywoodu Mikaela Håfströma ("1408", "Obred", "Plan za bijeg") sa zvijezdom Marvelovih blockbustera Anthonyjem "Falconom" Mackiejem u glavnoj ulozi.

"Outside The Wire" je tipični Netflixov brzopotezni i derivativni "time-waster", tj. filmić za ubijanje vremena, li-la u dometu "6 Underground" Michaela Baya, "Project Power" s Jamiejem Foxxom i Josephom Gordon-Levittom te "The Old Guard" s Charlize Theron ili serije "Altered Carbon" u čijoj drugoj sezoni glumi Mackie.

Gledljiv dok traje, ali instant zaboravljiv čim se ugasi, ogledan primjer akcijske generike, "frankensteinovski" sklepan od tematskih, vizualnih ili auditivnih elemenata superiornijih uzora da funkcioniraju momentalno, na kratke staze (glazba je u nekoliko navrata karbonska kopija "Blade Runnera 2049").

Uzori scenarističkog dvojca Rowan Athale-Rob Yescombe mahom su SF akcijski trileri starijeg i novijeg datuma, "Terminator", "RoboCop", "Upgrade", pa i "Gemini Man", uz "Training Day" (iskusni tip i novak) te "Eye In The Sky" (ratovanje dronovima) kao dodatak.

Lijepo je od Netflixa da podsjeća na zlatne dane akcijskih SF-ova, ali s ovakvim filmovima sve je bliži sivim, bezbojnim direktno-na-video akcićima u produkciji studija Millenium (npr. "Plaćenici 3") koji se snimaju u Istočnoj Europi, a sve dalji Marvelovim blockbusterima.

"S druge strane ograde" se snimao u Mađarskoj, ne Bugarskoj, kao Milleniumovi projekti, ali vizualna patina je slična. Ipak, radnja se odvija u Istočnoj Europi budućnosti pa lokacija ima načelnog smisla. Godina je 2036., baš kao u svemirskoj SF akciji "Vojnik" s Kurtom Russellom, no film je prizemljeniji i, dakle, lociran u Istočnoj Europi, konkretno Ukrajini.

Ondje je Građanski rat eruptirao i područje je zglajzalo u bezakonje pod vladavinom kriminalca Victora Kovala (Pilou Asbæk), kako doznajemo uz uvodnog natpisa bez kojeg nije mogao proći nijedan SF film osamdesetih. Američki vojnici su, naravno, poslani na lice mjesta i stacionirani kao "mirotvorci", ustvari svjetska policija, poznata po tome da u stvarnosti slično ordinira, recimo u ratnoj zoni Bliskog Istoka.

Vojnicima pomažu roboti, nazvani "Gumps", moguće po Forrestu. Kritika američke vanjske politike, vojne mašinerije i modernog ratovanja najzanimljivija je stavka filma. Nakon što se ogluši na direktnu zapovjed, pilot drona Harp (Damson Idris) biva dodijeljen prototipnom supervojniku-kiborgu Leu (Mackie) na tajnoj misiji sprječavanja potencijalnog nuklearnog holokausta u režiji Kovala.

Situacija je načelno potentna i kumuje povremenim skretanjima s inače predvidljivog putovanja: a) pilot drona koji ratuje iz daljine nalazi se u neposrednoj blizini ratovanja b) robot koji pokazuje više ljudskosti od ljudi prilikom donošenja odluka. "Možda ljudi nisu dovoljno emotivni", natukne Leo koji ima dara za "razbijanje pravila", što će potvrditi kad se – oprez: "spoilerčić" – razotkriju prave antiameričke namjere američkog robota.

Nažalost, autori nisu načisto žele li se nadalje prikloniti Leovu razmišljanju ili ne i "Outside The Wire" biva sve manje koherentan i konzistentan, vidljivo i na primjeru ratnice iz pokreta otpora Sofiye (Emily Beecham, "Mali Joe"). Film povremeno živne kad je na snazi "razbijanje" drukčijeg tipa, odnosno demonstracija Leove borbene sposobnosti u akcijskim scenama, premda tu ne "razbija pravila" već se drži koreografije uspostavljene u "Johnu Wicku" koju je znatno kreativnije robotizirao "Upgrade".

Nećemo vidjeti nešto istinski inspirativno ili smiono, što je Netflix dosad najviše pokazao u "Extractionu", ali ako "S druge strane ograde" nije kadar odati akcijsku počast Marvelovim filmovima, barem može verbalnu. "Mogu raditi ovo cijeli dan", Mackie citira Kapetana Ameriku.

Anthony Mackie će se do kraja godine ukazati još jednom kao superjunak Falcon u Marvelovoj seriji "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier", a trebao bi snimiti i akcijski film "The Blue Mauritius".

Svakog-tjedna-po-jedan-film najava Netflixove filmske 2021. godine oduševila je većinu gledano po vibri s društvenih mreža. Međutim, nešto trezveniji filmofili nisu tako povodljivi i pristupaju opreznije filmovima s logom Netflixa, znajući da se nerijetko razočaraju kad otvore šareni artikl umotan u atraktivan paket.

Da oprez nije nadomet potvrđuje prvi Netflixov film 2021., SF akcija "Outside The Wire" ili "S druge strane ograde" švedskog redatelja na radu u Hollywoodu Mikaela Håfströma ("1408", "Obred", "Plan za bijeg") sa zvijezdom Marvelovih blockbustera Anthonyjem "Falconom" Mackiejem u glavnoj ulozi.

"Outside The Wire" je tipični Netflixov brzopotezni i derivativni "time-waster", tj. filmić za ubijanje vremena, li-la u dometu "6 Underground" Michaela Baya, "Project Power" s Jamiejem Foxxom i Josephom Gordon-Levittom te "The Old Guard" s Charlize Theron ili serije "Altered Carbon" u čijoj drugoj sezoni glumi Mackie.

Gledljiv dok traje, ali instant zaboravljiv čim se ugasi, ogledan primjer akcijske generike, "frankensteinovski" sklepan od tematskih, vizualnih ili auditivnih elemenata superiornijih uzora da funkcioniraju momentalno, na kratke staze (glazba je u nekoliko navrata karbonska kopija "Blade Runnera 2049").

Uzori scenarističkog dvojca Rowan Athale-Rob Yescombe mahom su SF akcijski trileri starijeg i novijeg datuma, "Terminator", "RoboCop", "Upgrade", pa i "Gemini Man", uz "Training Day" (iskusni tip i novak) te "Eye In The Sky" (ratovanje dronovima) kao dodatak.

Lijepo je od Netflixa da podsjeća na zlatne dane akcijskih SF-ova, ali s ovakvim filmovima sve je bliži sivim, bezbojnim direktno-na-video akcićima u produkciji studija Millenium (npr. "Plaćenici 3") koji se snimaju u Istočnoj Europi, a sve dalji Marvelovim blockbusterima.

"S druge strane ograde" se snimao u Mađarskoj, ne Bugarskoj, kao Milleniumovi projekti, ali vizualna patina je slična. Ipak, radnja se odvija u Istočnoj Europi budućnosti pa lokacija ima načelnog smisla. Godina je 2036., baš kao u svemirskoj SF akciji "Vojnik" s Kurtom Russellom, no film je prizemljeniji i, dakle, lociran u Istočnoj Europi, konkretno Ukrajini.

Ondje je Građanski rat eruptirao i područje je zglajzalo u bezakonje pod vladavinom kriminalca Victora Kovala (Pilou Asbæk), kako doznajemo uz uvodnog natpisa bez kojeg nije mogao proći nijedan SF film osamdesetih. Američki vojnici su, naravno, poslani na lice mjesta i stacionirani kao "mirotvorci", ustvari svjetska policija, poznata po tome da u stvarnosti slično ordinira, recimo u ratnoj zoni Bliskog Istoka.

Vojnicima pomažu roboti, nazvani "Gumps", moguće po Forrestu. Kritika američke vanjske politike, vojne mašinerije i modernog ratovanja najzanimljivija je stavka filma. Nakon što se ogluši na direktnu zapovjed, pilot drona Harp (Damson Idris) biva dodijeljen prototipnom supervojniku-kiborgu Leu (Mackie) na tajnoj misiji sprječavanja potencijalnog nuklearnog holokausta u režiji Kovala.

Situacija je načelno potentna i kumuje povremenim skretanjima s inače predvidljivog putovanja: a) pilot drona koji ratuje iz daljine nalazi se u neposrednoj blizini ratovanja b) robot koji pokazuje više ljudskosti od ljudi prilikom donošenja odluka. "Možda ljudi nisu dovoljno emotivni", natukne Leo koji ima dara za "razbijanje pravila", što će potvrditi kad se – oprez: "spoilerčić" – razotkriju prave antiameričke namjere američkog robota.

Nažalost, autori nisu načisto žele li se nadalje prikloniti Leovu razmišljanju ili ne i "Outside The Wire" biva sve manje koherentan i konzistentan, vidljivo i na primjeru ratnice iz pokreta otpora Sofiye (Emily Beecham, "Mali Joe"). Film povremeno živne kad je na snazi "razbijanje" drukčijeg tipa, odnosno demonstracija Leove borbene sposobnosti u akcijskim scenama, premda tu ne "razbija pravila" već se drži koreografije uspostavljene u "Johnu Wicku" koju je znatno kreativnije robotizirao "Upgrade".

Nećemo vidjeti nešto istinski inspirativno ili smiono, što je Netflix dosad najviše pokazao u "Extractionu", ali ako "S druge strane ograde" nije kadar odati akcijsku počast Marvelovim filmovima, barem može verbalnu. "Mogu raditi ovo cijeli dan", Mackie citira Kapetana Ameriku.

Anthony Mackie će se do kraja godine ukazati još jednom kao superjunak Falcon u Marvelovoj seriji "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier", a trebao bi snimiti i akcijski film "The Blue Mauritius".
