Bube su imaginarne u naslovu "BigBug", iako bi gledatelj bez uvida u plakat ili sinopsis filma možda mogao pomisliti da će gledati SF o velikim kukcima, možda remake Verhoevenovih "Svemirskih marinaca". Međutim, u novom, nažalost razočaravajućem filmu kultnog francuskog redatelja i scenarista Jean-Pierrea Jeuneta nema buba, samo robota, među kojima jedan, meca-Einstein (glas Andrea Dussolliera), ima insektolike nogice.

Naslov se prije odnosi na računalni "bug" koji može dovesti do još jedne pobune umjetne inteligencije i robota na Netflixu u kratkom roku nakon filma "Majka/Android". Ipak, "BigBug" je znanstveno-fantastična komedija, ne SF (akcijski) triler, ali nije toliko "family friendly" da bi se jednog nedjeljnog popodneva mogao gledati u krugu obitelji, s klincima.

U kadru tu i tamo osvane simpatičan robotić dizajniran na tragu R2D2 (stari "Ratovi zvijezda"), BB8 (novi "Star Warsi") ili nesavršenog Rona, no "BigBug" nije "Kratki spoj" ili "Wall-E".

Najpoznatiji po divnoj "Amelie" i krajnje podcijenjenom četvrtom filmu iz SF horor serijala "Alien", naslovljenom "Alien: Uskrsnuće", Jeunet tipuje na nešto stariju publiku.

Redatelj je servirao znanstveno-fantastičnu komediju satiričnog tipa i metaforičnog karaktera koja, nažalost, nije toliko smiješna, a ni posebno pametna. Teleportirani smo u "jeunetovski" koloriranu budućnost ne toliko daleke 2045. godine gdje ljudi maksimalno ovise o tehnologiji, umjetnoj inteligenciji, kućnim i inim robotima, no to im ne smeta jer im omogućava lagodniji život.

Da bi roboti modela Yonyx (François Levantal), koji podsjećaju na kombinaciju "startrekovskih" Borgova i RoboCopa, mogli "terminatorski" porobiti čovječanstvo, sugeriraju TV emisije poput "Homo Riciculus" u kojima izvode ljude u šetnju kao pse. "Ti showovi ponižavaju ljude", kaže jedan lik dok se ostali ukućani pripetavaju jesu li to pravi glumci ili natjecatelji. Kad jedan od ukućana ugasi TV i kaže da se "ne smije" na emisiju, uzima gledatelju riječ iz usta.

Jasno je na što Jeunet cilja s prikazom buduće TV zabave i prizorima poniženja ljudi svedenih na kućne ljubimce ili životinje i cirkusu (degradiranje i zlostavljanje robova itd.), ali scene su izvedene podosta napadno, groteskno i karikaturalno u stilu većine komercijalnih francuskih komedija, bez mrve satirične suptilnosti kakvu je francuski redatelj pokazao u "Amelie".

Takav je i cijeli "BigBug" koji ima dobru premisu, no očito ne dovoljno dobru za gotovo dvosatni film budući da se priča brzo potroši i postane repetativna, stoga bi vjerojatno bolje pristajala kao jedan segment treće sezone Netflixova omnibusa "Love, Death & Robots".

Naime, jednog dana dolazi do ustanka robota, i to baš kad se u domu Alice Barelli (najpoznatije lice u ekipi Elsa Zylberstein; "On+Ona", "Širom raširenih ruku"), osim partnera Maxa (Stéphane De Groodt) i njegova sina Lea (Hélie Thonnat), nađu njezin bivši muž Victor i kćerka Nina (Youssef Hajdi, Marysole Fertard), kao i njegova nova djevojka Jennifer (Claire Chust) te susjeda Francoise (Isabelle Nanty; "Amelie") u potrazi za svojim psom.

Nekoliko Aliceinih kućnih robota, uključujući humanoidnu Monique (Claude Perron) nalik Stepfordskoj supruzi i robotskog trenera Grega (Alban Lenoir, veoma sličan Romainu Durisu), zatvaraju ukućane radi njihove sigurnosti, pri čemu dolazi do kvara aparature.

"Pokažimo humanost, što smo im sličniji to će nam više vjerovati", govore kućni roboti koji su iščitavali različite osobine ili emocije kod ljudi, poput pretencioznosti, sarkastičnosti, ljubomore. Zatočeni u kući koja je sve vruća s pokvarenom klimom, u nemogućnosti da im AI otvori vrata, raznoliki pripadnici društva se suočavaju jedni s drugima dok roboti napolju potencijalno uspostavljaju robo-diktaturu.

"BigBug" je imao priliku postati "Anđeo uništenja" za novo (ne)normalno, ali film je odveć artificijalan, iskričav i naporan. Situacija alegorijski podsjeća na razdoblje COVID-19 karantena. Nimalo slučajno, spominje se i novi koronavirus, COVID-50, srećom samo kao prvoaprilska šala.

Jeunetova devetogodišnja pauza

Jeunet je poznat i po kultnim ostvarenjima "Delikatessen" i "Grad izgubljene djece" te lijepoj melodrami "Zaruke su dugo trajale", a posljednji dugometražni film, prije "BigBug", snimio je "davne" 2013. ("Mali genijalac").

Bube su imaginarne u naslovu "BigBug", iako bi gledatelj bez uvida u plakat ili sinopsis filma možda mogao pomisliti da će gledati SF o velikim kukcima, možda remake Verhoevenovih "Svemirskih marinaca". Međutim, u novom, nažalost razočaravajućem filmu kultnog francuskog redatelja i scenarista Jean-Pierrea Jeuneta nema buba, samo robota, među kojima jedan, meca-Einstein (glas Andrea Dussolliera), ima insektolike nogice.

Naslov se prije odnosi na računalni "bug" koji može dovesti do još jedne pobune umjetne inteligencije i robota na Netflixu u kratkom roku nakon filma "Majka/Android". Ipak, "BigBug" je znanstveno-fantastična komedija, ne SF (akcijski) triler, ali nije toliko "family friendly" da bi se jednog nedjeljnog popodneva mogao gledati u krugu obitelji, s klincima.

U kadru tu i tamo osvane simpatičan robotić dizajniran na tragu R2D2 (stari "Ratovi zvijezda"), BB8 (novi "Star Warsi") ili nesavršenog Rona, no "BigBug" nije "Kratki spoj" ili "Wall-E".

Najpoznatiji po divnoj "Amelie" i krajnje podcijenjenom četvrtom filmu iz SF horor serijala "Alien", naslovljenom "Alien: Uskrsnuće", Jeunet tipuje na nešto stariju publiku.

Redatelj je servirao znanstveno-fantastičnu komediju satiričnog tipa i metaforičnog karaktera koja, nažalost, nije toliko smiješna, a ni posebno pametna. Teleportirani smo u "jeunetovski" koloriranu budućnost ne toliko daleke 2045. godine gdje ljudi maksimalno ovise o tehnologiji, umjetnoj inteligenciji, kućnim i inim robotima, no to im ne smeta jer im omogućava lagodniji život.

Da bi roboti modela Yonyx (François Levantal), koji podsjećaju na kombinaciju "startrekovskih" Borgova i RoboCopa, mogli "terminatorski" porobiti čovječanstvo, sugeriraju TV emisije poput "Homo Riciculus" u kojima izvode ljude u šetnju kao pse. "Ti showovi ponižavaju ljude", kaže jedan lik dok se ostali ukućani pripetavaju jesu li to pravi glumci ili natjecatelji. Kad jedan od ukućana ugasi TV i kaže da se "ne smije" na emisiju, uzima gledatelju riječ iz usta.

Jasno je na što Jeunet cilja s prikazom buduće TV zabave i prizorima poniženja ljudi svedenih na kućne ljubimce ili životinje i cirkusu (degradiranje i zlostavljanje robova itd.), ali scene su izvedene podosta napadno, groteskno i karikaturalno u stilu većine komercijalnih francuskih komedija, bez mrve satirične suptilnosti kakvu je francuski redatelj pokazao u "Amelie".

Takav je i cijeli "BigBug" koji ima dobru premisu, no očito ne dovoljno dobru za gotovo dvosatni film budući da se priča brzo potroši i postane repetativna, stoga bi vjerojatno bolje pristajala kao jedan segment treće sezone Netflixova omnibusa "Love, Death & Robots".

Naime, jednog dana dolazi do ustanka robota, i to baš kad se u domu Alice Barelli (najpoznatije lice u ekipi Elsa Zylberstein; "On+Ona", "Širom raširenih ruku"), osim partnera Maxa (Stéphane De Groodt) i njegova sina Lea (Hélie Thonnat), nađu njezin bivši muž Victor i kćerka Nina (Youssef Hajdi, Marysole Fertard), kao i njegova nova djevojka Jennifer (Claire Chust) te susjeda Francoise (Isabelle Nanty; "Amelie") u potrazi za svojim psom.

Nekoliko Aliceinih kućnih robota, uključujući humanoidnu Monique (Claude Perron) nalik Stepfordskoj supruzi i robotskog trenera Grega (Alban Lenoir, veoma sličan Romainu Durisu), zatvaraju ukućane radi njihove sigurnosti, pri čemu dolazi do kvara aparature.

"Pokažimo humanost, što smo im sličniji to će nam više vjerovati", govore kućni roboti koji su iščitavali različite osobine ili emocije kod ljudi, poput pretencioznosti, sarkastičnosti, ljubomore. Zatočeni u kući koja je sve vruća s pokvarenom klimom, u nemogućnosti da im AI otvori vrata, raznoliki pripadnici društva se suočavaju jedni s drugima dok roboti napolju potencijalno uspostavljaju robo-diktaturu.

"BigBug" je imao priliku postati "Anđeo uništenja" za novo (ne)normalno, ali film je odveć artificijalan, iskričav i naporan. Situacija alegorijski podsjeća na razdoblje COVID-19 karantena. Nimalo slučajno, spominje se i novi koronavirus, COVID-50, srećom samo kao prvoaprilska šala.

Jeunetova devetogodišnja pauza

Jeunet je poznat i po kultnim ostvarenjima "Delikatessen" i "Grad izgubljene djece" te lijepoj melodrami "Zaruke su dugo trajale", a posljednji dugometražni film, prije "BigBug", snimio je "davne" 2013. ("Mali genijalac").
