Na ovogodišnjoj 12. ISABS konferenciji, održanoj u Dubrovniku u organizaciji Međunarodnog društva za primijenjene biološke znanosti (ISABS), Specijalne bolnice Sv. Katarina te vodeće američke zdravstvene institucije Klinike Mayo, dodijeljene su prestižne nagrade “The ISABS Future Scientist Award”. Najbolji hrvatski srednjoškolci – budući znanstvenici i njihovi mentori nagrađeni su u sklopu projekta realiziranog u suradnji ISABS-a, Ministarstva znanosti i obrazovanja RH te Agencije za odgoj i obrazovanje.

Ocjenjivani su prijavljeni eseji iz područja biologije, genetike, kemije i istraživanja zaraznih bolesti (kao što je COVID-19). Ove prestižne nagrade potiču mlade da već od srednjoškolske dobi prezentiraju svoju izvrsnost pred eminentnim svjetskim stručnjacima među kojima su i Nobelovci, a koji ocjenjuju njihove radove i potiču ih na daljnje znanstveno usavršavanje. Nagrađeni učenici su uz certifikat dobili i novčanu nagradu te im je omogućeno sudjelovanje u znanstveni program skupa, uključujući predavanja nobelovaca, priopćili su organizatori.

Prilikom dodjele nagrade, prof. Dragan Primorac nije propustio naglasiti da mladi ljudi moraju “sanjati veliko” i da im nitko ne smije biti na putu ostvarenja njihovih snova. Istaknuo je da će ponekad u životu morati prihvatiti rizike. Ipak kao ključnim navodi ulogu mentora te se i njima zahvalio na potpori koju su pružili učenicima.

Dobitnici “The ISABS Future Scientist Award” za 2022. godinu su Filip Bulat (VII. gimnazija, Zagreb), Ante Čolak (II. gimnazija, Zagreb), Mei Đulabić Chalfe (V. gimnazija, Zagreb), Robertina Filković (V. gimnazija, Zagreb), Lucija Glavičić Marović (XV. gimnazija, Zagreb), Đurđica Kovačić (III. gimnazija, Split), Nika Adriana Marijanović (Klasična gimnazija, Zagreb), Frane Marušić (Srednja škola Jure Kaštelan, Omiš), Nika Miličević (V. gimnazija, Zagreb), Goran Narančić (XV. gimnazija, Zagreb) i Rea Pešušić (Prirodoslovna škola Vladimir Prelog, Zagreb).

Svjestan važnosti uključivanja mladih istraživača kao aktivnih sudionika znanstvenih konferencija i davanja prilike za upoznavanje s vrhunskim svjetskim znanstvenicima u ranoj fazi karijere, ISABS potiče doktorande i poslijedoktorande da se prijave za nagradu nagrade “The ISABS Young Investigator Award”. Nagrada za najbolje mlade znanstvenike namijenjena je istraživačima mlađim od trideset pet godina, a osim certifikata i atraktivne novčane nagrade, svaki dobitnik dobiva i priliku za usmenu prezentaciju u glavnom programu ISABS konferencije.

Dobitnici “The ISABS Young Investigator Award” za 2022. godinu su: Elena Essel, Max Planck Institut za evolucijsku  antropologiju, Leipzig, Njemačka, nagrada za područje antropološke genetike Vid Matišić, Specijalna bolnica Sv. Katarina, Zagreb, Hrvatska, nagrada za područje farmakogenomike Karlo Miškec, Prirodoslovno-matematički fakultet, Sveučilište u Zagrebu, Zagreb, Hrvatska, za područje epigenetike Amira Nabil, Medicinski istraživački institut, Sveučilište u Aleksandriji, Egipat, za područje molekularne dijagnostike Rachelle Turiello, Sveučilište u Virginiji, VA, USA, za područje forenzične genetike.

Na ovogodišnjoj 12. ISABS konferenciji, održanoj u Dubrovniku u organizaciji Međunarodnog društva za primijenjene biološke znanosti (ISABS), Specijalne bolnice Sv. Katarina te vodeće američke zdravstvene institucije Klinike Mayo, dodijeljene su prestižne nagrade “The ISABS Future Scientist Award”. Najbolji hrvatski srednjoškolci – budući znanstvenici i njihovi mentori nagrađeni su u sklopu projekta realiziranog u suradnji ISABS-a, Ministarstva znanosti i obrazovanja RH te Agencije za odgoj i obrazovanje.

Ocjenjivani su prijavljeni eseji iz područja biologije, genetike, kemije i istraživanja zaraznih bolesti (kao što je COVID-19). Ove prestižne nagrade potiču mlade da već od srednjoškolske dobi prezentiraju svoju izvrsnost pred eminentnim svjetskim stručnjacima među kojima su i Nobelovci, a koji ocjenjuju njihove radove i potiču ih na daljnje znanstveno usavršavanje. Nagrađeni učenici su uz certifikat dobili i novčanu nagradu te im je omogućeno sudjelovanje u znanstveni program skupa, uključujući predavanja nobelovaca, priopćili su organizatori.

Prilikom dodjele nagrade, prof. Dragan Primorac nije propustio naglasiti da mladi ljudi moraju “sanjati veliko” i da im nitko ne smije biti na putu ostvarenja njihovih snova. Istaknuo je da će ponekad u životu morati prihvatiti rizike. Ipak kao ključnim navodi ulogu mentora te se i njima zahvalio na potpori koju su pružili učenicima.

Dobitnici “The ISABS Future Scientist Award” za 2022. godinu su Filip Bulat (VII. gimnazija, Zagreb), Ante Čolak (II. gimnazija, Zagreb), Mei Đulabić Chalfe (V. gimnazija, Zagreb), Robertina Filković (V. gimnazija, Zagreb), Lucija Glavičić Marović (XV. gimnazija, Zagreb), Đurđica Kovačić (III. gimnazija, Split), Nika Adriana Marijanović (Klasična gimnazija, Zagreb), Frane Marušić (Srednja škola Jure Kaštelan, Omiš), Nika Miličević (V. gimnazija, Zagreb), Goran Narančić (XV. gimnazija, Zagreb) i Rea Pešušić (Prirodoslovna škola Vladimir Prelog, Zagreb).

Svjestan važnosti uključivanja mladih istraživača kao aktivnih sudionika znanstvenih konferencija i davanja prilike za upoznavanje s vrhunskim svjetskim znanstvenicima u ranoj fazi karijere, ISABS potiče doktorande i poslijedoktorande da se prijave za nagradu nagrade “The ISABS Young Investigator Award”. Nagrada za najbolje mlade znanstvenike namijenjena je istraživačima mlađim od trideset pet godina, a osim certifikata i atraktivne novčane nagrade, svaki dobitnik dobiva i priliku za usmenu prezentaciju u glavnom programu ISABS konferencije.

Dobitnici “The ISABS Young Investigator Award” za 2022. godinu su: Elena Essel, Max Planck Institut za evolucijsku  antropologiju, Leipzig, Njemačka, nagrada za područje antropološke genetike Vid Matišić, Specijalna bolnica Sv. Katarina, Zagreb, Hrvatska, nagrada za područje farmakogenomike Karlo Miškec, Prirodoslovno-matematički fakultet, Sveučilište u Zagrebu, Zagreb, Hrvatska, za područje epigenetike Amira Nabil, Medicinski istraživački institut, Sveučilište u Aleksandriji, Egipat, za područje molekularne dijagnostike Rachelle Turiello, Sveučilište u Virginiji, VA, USA, za područje forenzične genetike.

Jedanaest hrvatskih srednjoškolaca u Dubrovniku dobilo prestižnu nagradu na konferenciji u kojoj sudjeluju nobelovci

Na ovogodišnjoj 12. ISABS konferenciji, održanoj u Dubrovniku u organizaciji Međunarodnog društva za primijenjene biološke znanosti (ISABS), Specijalne bolnice Sv. Katarina te vodeće američke zdravstvene institucije Klinike Mayo, dodijeljene su prestižne nagrade “The ISABS Future Scientist Award”. Najbolji hrvatski srednjoškolci – budući znanstvenici i njihovi mentori nagrađeni su u sklopu projekta realiziranog u suradnji ISABS-a, Ministarstva znanosti i obrazovanja RH te Agencije za odgoj i obrazovanje.

Ocjenjivani su prijavljeni eseji iz područja biologije, genetike, kemije i istraživanja zaraznih bolesti (kao što je COVID-19). Ove prestižne nagrade potiču mlade da već od srednjoškolske dobi prezentiraju svoju izvrsnost pred eminentnim svjetskim stručnjacima među kojima su i Nobelovci, a koji ocjenjuju njihove radove i potiču ih na daljnje znanstveno usavršavanje. Nagrađeni učenici su uz certifikat dobili i novčanu nagradu te im je omogućeno sudjelovanje u znanstveni program skupa, uključujući predavanja nobelovaca, priopćili su organizatori.

Prilikom dodjele nagrade, prof. Dragan Primorac nije propustio naglasiti da mladi ljudi moraju “sanjati veliko” i da im nitko ne smije biti na putu ostvarenja njihovih snova. Istaknuo je da će ponekad u životu morati prihvatiti rizike. Ipak kao ključnim navodi ulogu mentora te se i njima zahvalio na potpori koju su pružili učenicima.

Dobitnici “The ISABS Future Scientist Award” za 2022. godinu su Filip Bulat (VII. gimnazija, Zagreb), Ante Čolak (II. gimnazija, Zagreb), Mei Đulabić Chalfe (V. gimnazija, Zagreb), Robertina Filković (V. gimnazija, Zagreb), Lucija Glavičić Marović (XV. gimnazija, Zagreb), Đurđica Kovačić (III. gimnazija, Split), Nika Adriana Marijanović (Klasična gimnazija, Zagreb), Frane Marušić (Srednja škola Jure Kaštelan, Omiš), Nika Miličević (V. gimnazija, Zagreb), Goran Narančić (XV. gimnazija, Zagreb) i Rea Pešušić (Prirodoslovna škola Vladimir Prelog, Zagreb).
