Dvotjedna speleološka ekspedicija Speleološkog odsjeka Velebit iz Zagreba u Nacionalnom parku Sjeverni Velebit utvrdila je da se razina leda u nekim jamama spustila za čak tri i pol metara u posljednje dvije godine, kaže se u priopćenju Speleološkog odsjeka Planinarskog društva Sveučilišta Velebit i Komisije za speleologiju Hrvatskog planinarskog saveza.
Ekspedicija u kojoj sudjeluju 42 speleologa iz osam speleoloških udruga iz Hrvatske i Austrije, i koja je bila usmjerena na istraživanje prirodnih aspekata krša i opažanje učinaka klimatskih promjena, uspješno se privodi kraju.
"Utvrdili smo bitnu promjenu razine stalnog leda u jamama Sjevernog Velebita. Primjerice, u jami Xantipi utvrdili smo da se razina leda koji se nalazi na dubini od 100 metara i dublje spustila za čak tri i pol metra u zadnje dvije godine", rekao je Hini sudionik istraživanja Dalibor Paar sa zagrebačkog Prirodoslovno-matematičkog fakulteta.
Ističe zanimljivost da su instrumentima na površini prošle zime izmjerili temperature od minus 28 Celzijevih stupnjeva na nekim mikrolokacijama te da se unatoč tome led ipak topi u tamošnjim jamama.
Pronađeno 29 novih speleoloških objekata
"Stalni led izvrstan je pokazatelj promjena klimatskih uvjeta na duljim vremenskim razdobljima. U jami Xantipi led se toliko jako topio da smo u vertikali prema dnu čuli jak šum vode", kazao je Paar. U priopćenju se ističe da je tijekom ekspedicije pronađeno 29 novih speleoloških objekata, većinom jama, koje su specifičnost Sjevernog Velebita, što pokazuje neistraženost hrvatskog krša.
Speleologinja Gorana Perić, koja je uz Maju Marinić voditeljica ekspedicije, ističe da su se posebno zahtjevna istraživanja odvijala u jami PT6 na području Premužićevog tornja, u kojoj se na dubini od 200 metara napredovalo dublje u uskom meandru u kojem se pojavljuje jako strujanje zraka, što je znak da iza tjesnaca postoje novi kanali i da se jama nastavlja.
Značajno speleološko otkriće je i novi dio jame Varnjače, koja ima posebno povijesno značenje za hrvatsku speleologiju. Prva istraživanja Varnjače datiraju iz dvadesetih godina prošlog stoljeća. Iznenađujuće je da je od tada ostao neotkriven vertikalni kanal velikih dimenzija koji se nastavlja na dvoranu s ledom, ističe se.
Istraživanja se izvode uz podršku Nacionalnog parka Sjeverni Velebit i Komisije za speleologiju Hrvatskog planinarskog saveza, kaže se u priopćenju Speleološkog odsjeka Planinarskog društva Sveučilišta Velebit i Komisije za speleologiju Hrvatskog planinarskog saveza.

Dvotjedna speleološka ekspedicija Speleološkog odsjeka Velebit iz Zagreba u Nacionalnom parku Sjeverni Velebit utvrdila je da se razina leda u nekim jamama spustila za čak tri i pol metara u posljednje dvije godine, kaže se u priopćenju Speleološkog odsjeka Planinarskog društva Sveučilišta Velebit i Komisije za speleologiju Hrvatskog planinarskog saveza.
Ekspedicija u kojoj sudjeluju 42 speleologa iz osam speleoloških udruga iz Hrvatske i Austrije, i koja je bila usmjerena na istraživanje prirodnih aspekata krša i opažanje učinaka klimatskih promjena, uspješno se privodi kraju.
"Utvrdili smo bitnu promjenu razine stalnog leda u jamama Sjevernog Velebita. Primjerice, u jami Xantipi utvrdili smo da se razina leda koji se nalazi na dubini od 100 metara i dublje spustila za čak tri i pol metra u zadnje dvije godine", rekao je Hini sudionik istraživanja Dalibor Paar sa zagrebačkog Prirodoslovno-matematičkog fakulteta.
Ističe zanimljivost da su instrumentima na površini prošle zime izmjerili temperature od minus 28 Celzijevih stupnjeva na nekim mikrolokacijama te da se unatoč tome led ipak topi u tamošnjim jamama.
Pronađeno 29 novih speleoloških objekata
"Stalni led izvrstan je pokazatelj promjena klimatskih uvjeta na duljim vremenskim razdobljima. U jami Xantipi led se toliko jako topio da smo u vertikali prema dnu čuli jak šum vode", kazao je Paar. U priopćenju se ističe da je tijekom ekspedicije pronađeno 29 novih speleoloških objekata, većinom jama, koje su specifičnost Sjevernog Velebita, što pokazuje neistraženost hrvatskog krša.
Speleologinja Gorana Perić, koja je uz Maju Marinić voditeljica ekspedicije, ističe da su se posebno zahtjevna istraživanja odvijala u jami PT6 na području Premužićevog tornja, u kojoj se na dubini od 200 metara napredovalo dublje u uskom meandru u kojem se pojavljuje jako strujanje zraka, što je znak da iza tjesnaca postoje novi kanali i da se jama nastavlja.
Značajno speleološko otkriće je i novi dio jame Varnjače, koja ima posebno povijesno značenje za hrvatsku speleologiju. Prva istraživanja Varnjače datiraju iz dvadesetih godina prošlog stoljeća. Iznenađujuće je da je od tada ostao neotkriven vertikalni kanal velikih dimenzija koji se nastavlja na dvoranu s ledom, ističe se.
Istraživanja se izvode uz podršku Nacionalnog parka Sjeverni Velebit i Komisije za speleologiju Hrvatskog planinarskog saveza, kaže se u priopćenju Speleološkog odsjeka Planinarskog društva Sveučilišta Velebit i Komisije za speleologiju Hrvatskog planinarskog saveza.
