U stravičnoj prometnoj nesreći koja se dogodila malo iza ponoći na dionici ceste Vela Luka – Blato, živote su izgubila trojica mladića Ivan Didović (19), Tomislav Tomašić (22) i Ante Salečić (24), svo troje iz Smokvice. Općina Smokvica je proglasila tjedan žalosti od sutra, 3. siječnja do 10. siječnja.  

- Ovo je tragedija koju Smokvica ne pamti. Jednu večer su se ugasila tri života. Za te mladiće bi se svatko tko ih je poznavao trebao jako dobro potruditi da pronađe nešto loše i ne bi našao. Bili su uvijek spremni pomoći svima, uvijek  su bili dobrog raspoloženja, veseljaci. Bili su aktivni na društvenom planu, dvojica u Dobrovoljnom vatrogasnom društvu, jedan u nogometnom klubu, sva trojica su bila aktivna u Viteškoj udruzi Kumpanjija. Pomagali su zajednici, pomagali su svima, bili su mladići za poželjeti. U dvije obitelji to su bili jedini sinovi – kazao je načelnik Općine Smokvica Kuzma Tomašić  i dodao:

- Ova tragedija bi pogodila i jedan Zagreb od milijun ljudi a zamislite kako je to za jedno mjesto od 950 stanovnika. Općina je proglasila sedam dana žalosti, kroz drugi tjedan će biti sahrane kako će sve biti organizirano i što će biti još, ništa ne znamo, ali da će biti tužno i teško to sigurno.

U stravičnoj prometnoj nesreći koja se dogodila malo iza ponoći na dionici ceste Vela Luka – Blato, živote su izgubila trojica mladića Ivan Didović (19), Tomislav Tomašić (22) i Ante Salečić (24), svo troje iz Smokvice. Općina Smokvica je proglasila tjedan žalosti od sutra, 3. siječnja do 10. siječnja.  

- Ovo je tragedija koju Smokvica ne pamti. Jednu večer su se ugasila tri života. Za te mladiće bi se svatko tko ih je poznavao trebao jako dobro potruditi da pronađe nešto loše i ne bi našao. Bili su uvijek spremni pomoći svima, uvijek  su bili dobrog raspoloženja, veseljaci. Bili su aktivni na društvenom planu, dvojica u Dobrovoljnom vatrogasnom društvu, jedan u nogometnom klubu, sva trojica su bila aktivna u Viteškoj udruzi Kumpanjija. Pomagali su zajednici, pomagali su svima, bili su mladići za poželjeti. U dvije obitelji to su bili jedini sinovi – kazao je načelnik Općine Smokvica Kuzma Tomašić  i dodao:

- Ova tragedija bi pogodila i jedan Zagreb od milijun ljudi a zamislite kako je to za jedno mjesto od 950 stanovnika. Općina je proglasila sedam dana žalosti, kroz drugi tjedan će biti sahrane kako će sve biti organizirano i što će biti još, ništa ne znamo, ali da će biti tužno i teško to sigurno.
