Polaganjem cvijeća Samostanu Svetog Vlaha i čitanjem zapisa kronike župe Pridvorje, uz nastup mandolinskog sastava na svetoj misi, u Pridvorju KUD "Stjepan Radić" obilježio je 50. obljetnica Hrvatskog proljeća.

Naime, na današnji dan 1971. godine, povodom 100. godišnjice rođenja Stjepana Radića, pred samostanom u Pridvorju održan je veliki narodni skup. Tom prigodom, uz intonaciju hrvatske himne, podignuta je spomen ploča Stjepanu Radiću koja podsjeća na njegov dolazak u Pridvorje 1926. godine.

Na zboru je govorio dr. Franjo Tuđman na temu „Stjepan Radić u povijesti hrvatskog naroda“ i dr. Stijepo Obad, na temu „Stjepan Radić i Konavljani“.

Oba govornika, a osobito dr Tuđman, bili su prekidani snažnim aplauzima, a osobito kada bi bilo spomenuto Radićevo zalaganje za slobodu hrvatskog naroda.

Između ostalih govor je održao i Đuro Miladin, predsjednik studenata Dubrovnika, koji se osobito osvrnuo na problem iseljavanja iz Konavala, te istaknuo da narodu treba vođa poput Radića koji će seljaku ne samo uliti ljubav prema rodnoj grudi, nego i znati pomoći u izgradnji ljepšeg i čovjeku dostojnijeg života na selu.

Nakon otkrivanja ploče nastavilo se opće slavlje uz nastup folklornih grupa iz Pridvorja i Čilipa, limene glazbe iz Cavtata, te VIS-a „Dvorjani“. Na skupu je bilo dvije do tri tisuće ljudi iz cijelih Konavala i lijepi broj iz Dubrovnika. Zbor je završen oko 15:00 sati.

Slomom Hrvatskog proljeća djelatnost Matice hrvatske, kao i skup u Pridvorju, proglašeni su nacionalističkom djelatnošću. Selo Pridvorje označeno je kao mjesto sa osobito izraženom nacionalističkim aktivnostima, mnogi sudionici skupa bili su proganjani.

Polaganjem cvijeća Samostanu Svetog Vlaha i čitanjem zapisa kronike župe Pridvorje, uz nastup mandolinskog sastava na svetoj misi, u Pridvorju KUD "Stjepan Radić" obilježio je 50. obljetnica Hrvatskog proljeća.

Naime, na današnji dan 1971. godine, povodom 100. godišnjice rođenja Stjepana Radića, pred samostanom u Pridvorju održan je veliki narodni skup. Tom prigodom, uz intonaciju hrvatske himne, podignuta je spomen ploča Stjepanu Radiću koja podsjeća na njegov dolazak u Pridvorje 1926. godine.

Na zboru je govorio dr. Franjo Tuđman na temu „Stjepan Radić u povijesti hrvatskog naroda“ i dr. Stijepo Obad, na temu „Stjepan Radić i Konavljani“.

Oba govornika, a osobito dr Tuđman, bili su prekidani snažnim aplauzima, a osobito kada bi bilo spomenuto Radićevo zalaganje za slobodu hrvatskog naroda.

Između ostalih govor je održao i Đuro Miladin, predsjednik studenata Dubrovnika, koji se osobito osvrnuo na problem iseljavanja iz Konavala, te istaknuo da narodu treba vođa poput Radića koji će seljaku ne samo uliti ljubav prema rodnoj grudi, nego i znati pomoći u izgradnji ljepšeg i čovjeku dostojnijeg života na selu.

Nakon otkrivanja ploče nastavilo se opće slavlje uz nastup folklornih grupa iz Pridvorja i Čilipa, limene glazbe iz Cavtata, te VIS-a „Dvorjani“. Na skupu je bilo dvije do tri tisuće ljudi iz cijelih Konavala i lijepi broj iz Dubrovnika. Zbor je završen oko 15:00 sati.

Slomom Hrvatskog proljeća djelatnost Matice hrvatske, kao i skup u Pridvorju, proglašeni su nacionalističkom djelatnošću. Selo Pridvorje označeno je kao mjesto sa osobito izraženom nacionalističkim aktivnostima, mnogi sudionici skupa bili su proganjani.
