Gradonačelnik Mato Franković na konferenciji za novinare danas se pohvalio uspješnom turističkom sezonom 2023. u kojoj se Grad ovjenčao brojim turističkim nagradama, pa i onom najvažnijom, Šampionom hrvatskog turizma. Zahvalio je svima koju su iznijeli turističku 2023. godinu, turističkim djelatnicima, komunalnim i žurnim službama, no rekao je i kako se nastavak očekuje idućih dana kada će biti otvoreno čak 15 hotela za novogodišnje praznike nakon kojih je Dubrovnik domaćin Europskog prvenstva u vaterpolu.

- Neću opet ponavljati što je projekt Respect the City sve obuhvatio, ali je činjenica da su sve te aktivnosti, kao izniman rad Turističke zajednice grada Dubrovnika, doprinijeli da naš grad prepozna svjetska i domaća turistička struka. Ostvarili smo 20 posto više dolazaka nego lani i devet posto više noćenja - zahvalio je  Franković i  medijima, djelatnicima Turističke zajednice grada Dubrovnika na čelu s Mirom Draškovićem i u koordinaciji sa zamjenicom gradonačelnika Jelkom Tepšić. -  Ništa se nije dogodilo slučajno, iza toga stoje rad i trud te iskustvo i znanje ljudi koji rade u turizmu - rekao je Franković. - Turistička sezona nije gotova. Pred nama je do kraja godine aktivan prosinac, u Gradu je 15 hotela otvoreno za doček Nove godine!

Najavio je Doček Nove Godine kakav Dubrovnik još nije doživio i na kojem se očekuje 30.000 ljudi pa će led ekranima nastojati disperzirati posjetitelje sa Straduna na Pile, Trg oružja, Gundulićevu poljanu te dio Straduna pred Kneževim dvorom. -  Naš cilj je i bio privući ljude iz regije jer smo znali kako s njima možemo postići najbolji efekt za dubrovačko gospodarstvo - izjavio je, najavivši kako će brojka noćenja na 31. prosinca biti najveća u Hrvatskoj jer u cijeloj regiji se zna da u Dubrovniku nastupa Zdravko Čolić. 

Osvrnuo se potom i na turističke najave za 2024. godinu koja bi trebala aktivnije početi već od ožujka, a pohvalio napore Zračne luke Dubrovnik koji pregovaraju više međunarodnih avio linija za iduću zimu. Napomenuo je i kako je Ryanair nedavno najavio i još jednu liniju, onu na relaciji Dubrovnik-Bari koja bi trebala letjeti četiri puta tjedno. - Lošim upravljanjem tvrtke Jadrolinija je došlo do toga da je brod za Bari koji je išao četiri puta tjedno gdje bismo na godišnje  imali 70 tisuća gostiju, sveden na jedanput tjedno, a ono što nije mogla Jadrolinija, očito može Ryanair koji je najavio letove za Bari - podvukao  je Franković.

Kazao je i kako su u tijeku pregovori s Croatia Airlinesom oko letova za zimu 2024., za linije s Parizom i skandinavskim zemljama, no ishod će ovisiti o tome hoće li nacionalni prevoznik uspjeti obnoviti flotu kako je planirano.

Gradonačelnik Mato Franković na konferenciji za novinare danas se pohvalio uspješnom turističkom sezonom 2023. u kojoj se Grad ovjenčao brojim turističkim nagradama, pa i onom najvažnijom, Šampionom hrvatskog turizma. Zahvalio je svima koju su iznijeli turističku 2023. godinu, turističkim djelatnicima, komunalnim i žurnim službama, no rekao je i kako se nastavak očekuje idućih dana kada će biti otvoreno čak 15 hotela za novogodišnje praznike nakon kojih je Dubrovnik domaćin Europskog prvenstva u vaterpolu.

- Neću opet ponavljati što je projekt Respect the City sve obuhvatio, ali je činjenica da su sve te aktivnosti, kao izniman rad Turističke zajednice grada Dubrovnika, doprinijeli da naš grad prepozna svjetska i domaća turistička struka. Ostvarili smo 20 posto više dolazaka nego lani i devet posto više noćenja - zahvalio je  Franković i  medijima, djelatnicima Turističke zajednice grada Dubrovnika na čelu s Mirom Draškovićem i u koordinaciji sa zamjenicom gradonačelnika Jelkom Tepšić. -  Ništa se nije dogodilo slučajno, iza toga stoje rad i trud te iskustvo i znanje ljudi koji rade u turizmu - rekao je Franković. - Turistička sezona nije gotova. Pred nama je do kraja godine aktivan prosinac, u Gradu je 15 hotela otvoreno za doček Nove godine!

Najavio je Doček Nove Godine kakav Dubrovnik još nije doživio i na kojem se očekuje 30.000 ljudi pa će led ekranima nastojati disperzirati posjetitelje sa Straduna na Pile, Trg oružja, Gundulićevu poljanu te dio Straduna pred Kneževim dvorom. -  Naš cilj je i bio privući ljude iz regije jer smo znali kako s njima možemo postići najbolji efekt za dubrovačko gospodarstvo - izjavio je, najavivši kako će brojka noćenja na 31. prosinca biti najveća u Hrvatskoj jer u cijeloj regiji se zna da u Dubrovniku nastupa Zdravko Čolić. 

Osvrnuo se potom i na turističke najave za 2024. godinu koja bi trebala aktivnije početi već od ožujka, a pohvalio napore Zračne luke Dubrovnik koji pregovaraju više međunarodnih avio linija za iduću zimu. Napomenuo je i kako je Ryanair nedavno najavio i još jednu liniju, onu na relaciji Dubrovnik-Bari koja bi trebala letjeti četiri puta tjedno. - Lošim upravljanjem tvrtke Jadrolinija je došlo do toga da je brod za Bari koji je išao četiri puta tjedno gdje bismo na godišnje  imali 70 tisuća gostiju, sveden na jedanput tjedno, a ono što nije mogla Jadrolinija, očito može Ryanair koji je najavio letove za Bari - podvukao  je Franković.

Kazao je i kako su u tijeku pregovori s Croatia Airlinesom oko letova za zimu 2024., za linije s Parizom i skandinavskim zemljama, no ishod će ovisiti o tome hoće li nacionalni prevoznik uspjeti obnoviti flotu kako je planirano.
