Jutros je u 77.godini života preminuo istaknuti kazališni redatelj Ivica Kunčević. Otišao je samo par tjedana nakon što je primio nagradu Vladimir Nazor za životno djelo, koja mu je uručena 19. lipnja

-Zapravo se, nakon 50 godina rada u teatru, još uvijek čudim da me plaćaju za posao koji bih radio i besplatno; jer me usrećuje i bogati kao osobu. Naravno da ima i teških trenutaka, ali ako uspije susret s publikom sve se zaboravlja - rekao je Ivica Kunčević svojedobno u inervjuu  Slobodnoj Dalmaciji.

Otišao je samo par tjedana nakon što je primio nagradu Vladimir Nazor za životno djelo, koja mu je uručena 19. lipnja, dok je prošle godine dobio nagradu za životno djelo Hrvatskog društva dramskih umjetnika. Ponajviše je bio vezan uz Dubrovnik, te uz Dubrovačke ljetne igre, te je u istom intervjuu rekao: "I da su na izdisaju, od Igara ne smijemo odustati jer su one kao feniks!". U dubrovačkom Kazalište Marina Držića predstavom "Ne plaćamo, ne plaćamo" Ivica Kunčević obilježio je pedeset godina umjetničkoga djelovanja. Predstavu je izrazito pohvalila kritika.

Diplomirao je 1969. komparativnu književnost i jugoslavenske jezike i književnosti na Filozofskom fakultetu te studirao kazališnu režiju na Akademiji kazališne i filmske umjetnosti (danas Akademija dramske umjetnosti) u Zagrebu, gdje je poslije predavao kazališnu režiju. Kao redatelj isprva je angažiran u Kazalištu Marina Držića u Dubrovniku (1969–77) i u Dramskom kazalištu »Gavella« (1977–82) u Zagrebu, a potom, do umirovljenja 2012., u zagrebačkome HNK-u. Režirao je i u drugim kazalištima. Bio je ravnatelj dramskog programa Dubrovačkih ljetnih igara 2002–09. Režirao je oko stotinu predstava različitih žanrovskih i stilskih odrednica, od dječjih (Grigor Vitez, Plava boja snijega) i modernih komada (Eugène Ionesco, Kakav kupleraj) do hrvatskih i svjetskih klasika (Vlaho Stulli, Kate Kapuralica; Sofoklo, Antigona). Sklon je preradbama nekazališnih tekstova (Fjodor Mihajlovič Dostojevski, Idiot ili neophodno potrebno očitovanje) i osebujnim redateljskim čitanjima dramske baštine (Ivan Gundulić, Prikazanje Dubravke ljeta gospodnjega MCMLXXIII). Često postavlja na scenu djela Williama Shakespearea (Macbeth, Henry IV., Romeo i Julija, Troilo i Kresida, Mjera za mjeru, Kralj Lear, Hamlet), Antona Pavloviča Čehova (Ivanov, Višnjik, Tri sestre, Ujak Vanja), Mihaila Afanasjeviča Bulgakova (Zojkin stan, Gospodin de Molière), Marina Držića (Novela od Stanca, Arkulin, Tirena, Skup), pri čemu se posebno ističu dvije režije Dunda Maroja (HNK Zagreb, 1981; Dubrovačke ljetne igre, 2000), te Iva Vojnovića (Prolog nenapisane drame, Ekvinocijo, Dubrovačka trilogija, Maškarate ispod kuplja), a značajna su mu i uprizorenja Rostandova Cyrana de Bergeraca i Vodopićeve Tužne Jele. Objavio je zbirke teatroloških eseja Ambijentalnost na dubrovačku (2012) i Redateljske bilješke (2017).

Jutros je u 77.godini života preminuo istaknuti kazališni redatelj Ivica Kunčević. Otišao je samo par tjedana nakon što je primio nagradu Vladimir Nazor za životno djelo, koja mu je uručena 19. lipnja

-Zapravo se, nakon 50 godina rada u teatru, još uvijek čudim da me plaćaju za posao koji bih radio i besplatno; jer me usrećuje i bogati kao osobu. Naravno da ima i teških trenutaka, ali ako uspije susret s publikom sve se zaboravlja - rekao je Ivica Kunčević svojedobno u inervjuu  Slobodnoj Dalmaciji.

Otišao je samo par tjedana nakon što je primio nagradu Vladimir Nazor za životno djelo, koja mu je uručena 19. lipnja, dok je prošle godine dobio nagradu za životno djelo Hrvatskog društva dramskih umjetnika. Ponajviše je bio vezan uz Dubrovnik, te uz Dubrovačke ljetne igre, te je u istom intervjuu rekao: "I da su na izdisaju, od Igara ne smijemo odustati jer su one kao feniks!". U dubrovačkom Kazalište Marina Držića predstavom "Ne plaćamo, ne plaćamo" Ivica Kunčević obilježio je pedeset godina umjetničkoga djelovanja. Predstavu je izrazito pohvalila kritika.

Diplomirao je 1969. komparativnu književnost i jugoslavenske jezike i književnosti na Filozofskom fakultetu te studirao kazališnu režiju na Akademiji kazališne i filmske umjetnosti (danas Akademija dramske umjetnosti) u Zagrebu, gdje je poslije predavao kazališnu režiju. Kao redatelj isprva je angažiran u Kazalištu Marina Držića u Dubrovniku (1969–77) i u Dramskom kazalištu »Gavella« (1977–82) u Zagrebu, a potom, do umirovljenja 2012., u zagrebačkome HNK-u. Režirao je i u drugim kazalištima. Bio je ravnatelj dramskog programa Dubrovačkih ljetnih igara 2002–09. Režirao je oko stotinu predstava različitih žanrovskih i stilskih odrednica, od dječjih (Grigor Vitez, Plava boja snijega) i modernih komada (Eugène Ionesco, Kakav kupleraj) do hrvatskih i svjetskih klasika (Vlaho Stulli, Kate Kapuralica; Sofoklo, Antigona). Sklon je preradbama nekazališnih tekstova (Fjodor Mihajlovič Dostojevski, Idiot ili neophodno potrebno očitovanje) i osebujnim redateljskim čitanjima dramske baštine (Ivan Gundulić, Prikazanje Dubravke ljeta gospodnjega MCMLXXIII). Često postavlja na scenu djela Williama Shakespearea (Macbeth, Henry IV., Romeo i Julija, Troilo i Kresida, Mjera za mjeru, Kralj Lear, Hamlet), Antona Pavloviča Čehova (Ivanov, Višnjik, Tri sestre, Ujak Vanja), Mihaila Afanasjeviča Bulgakova (Zojkin stan, Gospodin de Molière), Marina Držića (Novela od Stanca, Arkulin, Tirena, Skup), pri čemu se posebno ističu dvije režije Dunda Maroja (HNK Zagreb, 1981; Dubrovačke ljetne igre, 2000), te Iva Vojnovića (Prolog nenapisane drame, Ekvinocijo, Dubrovačka trilogija, Maškarate ispod kuplja), a značajna su mu i uprizorenja Rostandova Cyrana de Bergeraca i Vodopićeve Tužne Jele. Objavio je zbirke teatroloških eseja Ambijentalnost na dubrovačku (2012) i Redateljske bilješke (2017).

Preminuo Ivica Kunčević, veliki kazališni redatelj čija je karijera ponajviše bila vezana uz Dubrovnik i Igre

Jutros je u 77.godini života preminuo istaknuti kazališni redatelj Ivica Kunčević. Otišao je samo par tjedana nakon što je primio nagradu Vladimir Nazor za životno djelo, koja mu je uručena 19. lipnja

-Zapravo se, nakon 50 godina rada u teatru, još uvijek čudim da me plaćaju za posao koji bih radio i besplatno; jer me usrećuje i bogati kao osobu. Naravno da ima i teških trenutaka, ali ako uspije susret s publikom sve se zaboravlja - rekao je Ivica Kunčević svojedobno u inervjuu  Slobodnoj Dalmaciji.

Otišao je samo par tjedana nakon što je primio nagradu Vladimir Nazor za životno djelo, koja mu je uručena 19. lipnja, dok je prošle godine dobio nagradu za životno djelo Hrvatskog društva dramskih umjetnika. Ponajviše je bio vezan uz Dubrovnik, te uz Dubrovačke ljetne igre, te je u istom intervjuu rekao: "I da su na izdisaju, od Igara ne smijemo odustati jer su one kao feniks!". U dubrovačkom Kazalište Marina Držića predstavom "Ne plaćamo, ne plaćamo" Ivica Kunčević obilježio je pedeset godina umjetničkoga djelovanja. Predstavu je izrazito pohvalila kritika.

Diplomirao je 1969. komparativnu književnost i jugoslavenske jezike i književnosti na Filozofskom fakultetu te studirao kazališnu režiju na Akademiji kazališne i filmske umjetnosti (danas Akademija dramske umjetnosti) u Zagrebu, gdje je poslije predavao kazališnu režiju. Kao redatelj isprva je angažiran u Kazalištu Marina Držića u Dubrovniku (1969–77) i u Dramskom kazalištu »Gavella« (1977–82) u Zagrebu, a potom, do umirovljenja 2012., u zagrebačkome HNK-u. Režirao je i u drugim kazalištima. Bio je ravnatelj dramskog programa Dubrovačkih ljetnih igara 2002–09. Režirao je oko stotinu predstava različitih žanrovskih i stilskih odrednica, od dječjih (Grigor Vitez, Plava boja snijega) i modernih komada (Eugène Ionesco, Kakav kupleraj) do hrvatskih i svjetskih klasika (Vlaho Stulli, Kate Kapuralica; Sofoklo, Antigona). Sklon je preradbama nekazališnih tekstova (Fjodor Mihajlovič Dostojevski, Idiot ili neophodno potrebno očitovanje) i osebujnim redateljskim čitanjima dramske baštine (Ivan Gundulić, Prikazanje Dubravke ljeta gospodnjega MCMLXXIII).
