Ukrajinska vojska nalazi se pod većim pritiskom nego bilo kad još od prvih tjedana ruske invazije, piše novinar ​Jeremy Bowen ​za BBC, a prenosi Slobodna Dalmacija.

Ona možda vodi unaprijed izgubljenu bitku u Lugansku, sjevernom dijelu Donbasa.

Ukrajinski generalštab kaže da se čini kako Rusi grupiraju snage za još jedan prodor.

Posljednjih dana Rusi su pojačali napade širom prve linije fronta u Donbasu - sve su bliži opkoljavanju Severnodonjecka, grada koji je prije rata imao 80 tisuća stanovnika.

Ukrajinci se, kao i obično, bore tvrdoglavom odlučnošću.

Oni su usporili Ruse, ali nisu zaustavili napredovanje njihove ofenzive. Rusi im nanose teške gubitke.

Vojni izvor iz 57. brigade rekao je za BBC da je jedna od njihovih jedinica otišla na front s 240 ljudi, a vratila se sa stotinu ljudi manje. Svi su oni ubijeni, ranjeni ili zarobljeni.

Ukrajinski predsjednik Volodimir Zelenski rekao je da bi Rusi mogli ubijati i do sto ukrajinskih vojnika dnevno u Donbasu.

Nedaleko od Severodonjecka nalazi se Bahmut, grad koji polako izjeda rat.

Ovog tjedna on se nalazi na oko pet kilometara od Rusa, dobrano u okviru njihova dometa. Sljedećeg tjedna mogao bi biti puno bliže.

Civili koji su imali kamo već su otišli.

U ruševinama Donbasa, pobjeda u Kijevu iz ožujka - euforija, slava i žrtva - sada djeluju daleko.

Bahmut se nalazi pod teškom artiljerijskom vatrom.

Stojeći ispred svoje oštećene kuće, čovjek u četrdesetim po imenu Mitri iskazuje prkos, strepnju i nezadovoljstvo, piše BBC.

Nije imao pojma što može očekivati u svom gradu.

- Nisam Nostradamus. Zašto je Putin napao? Sve su to političke igre - rekao je.

Mitri je rekao da bi prethodnik predsjednika Zelenskog, Petro Porošenko, već dosad postigao sporazum o primirju.

- Ranije je makar bio mir, pregovarali su. Šteta za sve te ljude koji su poginuli, za sve te vojnike. Prava šteta - rekao je te naglasio da je "sve to krivica predsjednika Zelenskog, koji je propustio priliku".

Upitan bi li pristao na sporazum koji dopušta Rusima da kontroliraju cijelu regiju Donbas, u usporedbi s otprilike trećinom teritorija koji su kontrolirali prije invazije.

- Ne znam. Što bi to promijenilo za mene? Najvažnije je ostati živ. Ovo je samo početak, najgore tek dolazi. Ako preživimo, vidjet ćemo kako će sve to ispasti - kazao je Mitri.

Tisuće civila još uvijek su u Severodonjecku, dok se Rusi bore opkoliti posljednje ukrajinske vojnike u oblasti Lugansk, na sjevernoj strani Donbasa.

Ako snage predsjednika Putina uspiju opkoliti Severodonjeck, njihove sljedeće mete najvjerojatnije će biti ključni gradovi Kramatorsk i Slovjansk u oblasti Donjeck, na drugoj strani Donbasa.

Tada će on moći proglasiti pobjedu u borbi za Donbas.

Ako ovi gradovi padnu, a to nije sasvim sigurno, budući da su dobro branjeni, predsjednik Putin će moći proglasiti prvu značajnu pobjedu u ratu.

Rusija će kontrolirati pojas teritorija koji se proteže uz njezinu granicu južno od Donbasa i uzduž većeg dijela ukrajinske obale.

Predsjednik Zelenski kaže da samo diplomacija može okončati ovaj rat, ali dodaje i da se Rusija mora vratiti na položaje koja je držala prije invazije.

Ukrajinska vojska nalazi se pod većim pritiskom nego bilo kad još od prvih tjedana ruske invazije, piše novinar ​Jeremy Bowen ​za BBC, a prenosi Slobodna Dalmacija.

Ona možda vodi unaprijed izgubljenu bitku u Lugansku, sjevernom dijelu Donbasa.

Ukrajinski generalštab kaže da se čini kako Rusi grupiraju snage za još jedan prodor.

Posljednjih dana Rusi su pojačali napade širom prve linije fronta u Donbasu - sve su bliži opkoljavanju Severnodonjecka, grada koji je prije rata imao 80 tisuća stanovnika.

Ukrajinci se, kao i obično, bore tvrdoglavom odlučnošću.

Oni su usporili Ruse, ali nisu zaustavili napredovanje njihove ofenzive. Rusi im nanose teške gubitke.

Vojni izvor iz 57. brigade rekao je za BBC da je jedna od njihovih jedinica otišla na front s 240 ljudi, a vratila se sa stotinu ljudi manje. Svi su oni ubijeni, ranjeni ili zarobljeni.

Ukrajinski predsjednik Volodimir Zelenski rekao je da bi Rusi mogli ubijati i do sto ukrajinskih vojnika dnevno u Donbasu.

Nedaleko od Severodonjecka nalazi se Bahmut, grad koji polako izjeda rat.

Ovog tjedna on se nalazi na oko pet kilometara od Rusa, dobrano u okviru njihova dometa. Sljedećeg tjedna mogao bi biti puno bliže.

Civili koji su imali kamo već su otišli.

U ruševinama Donbasa, pobjeda u Kijevu iz ožujka - euforija, slava i žrtva - sada djeluju daleko.

Bahmut se nalazi pod teškom artiljerijskom vatrom.

Stojeći ispred svoje oštećene kuće, čovjek u četrdesetim po imenu Mitri iskazuje prkos, strepnju i nezadovoljstvo, piše BBC.

Nije imao pojma što može očekivati u svom gradu.

- Nisam Nostradamus. Zašto je Putin napao? Sve su to političke igre - rekao je.

Mitri je rekao da bi prethodnik predsjednika Zelenskog, Petro Porošenko, već dosad postigao sporazum o primirju.

- Ranije je makar bio mir, pregovarali su. Šteta za sve te ljude koji su poginuli, za sve te vojnike. Prava šteta - rekao je te naglasio da je "sve to krivica predsjednika Zelenskog, koji je propustio priliku".

Upitan bi li pristao na sporazum koji dopušta Rusima da kontroliraju cijelu regiju Donbas, u usporedbi s otprilike trećinom teritorija koji su kontrolirali prije invazije.

- Ne znam. Što bi to promijenilo za mene? Najvažnije je ostati živ. Ovo je samo početak, najgore tek dolazi. Ako preživimo, vidjet ćemo kako će sve to ispasti - kazao je Mitri.

Tisuće civila još uvijek su u Severodonjecku, dok se Rusi bore opkoliti posljednje ukrajinske vojnike u oblasti Lugansk, na sjevernoj strani Donbasa.

Ako snage predsjednika Putina uspiju opkoliti Severodonjeck, njihove sljedeće mete najvjerojatnije će biti ključni gradovi Kramatorsk i Slovjansk u oblasti Donjeck, na drugoj strani Donbasa.

Tada će on moći proglasiti pobjedu u borbi za Donbas.

Ako ovi gradovi padnu, a to nije sasvim sigurno, budući da su dobro branjeni, predsjednik Putin će moći proglasiti prvu značajnu pobjedu u ratu.

Rusija će kontrolirati pojas teritorija koji se proteže uz njezinu granicu južno od Donbasa i uzduž većeg dijela ukrajinske obale.

Predsjednik Zelenski kaže da samo diplomacija može okončati ovaj rat, ali dodaje i da se Rusija mora vratiti na položaje koja je držala prije invazije.
