Kineska policija pretukla je i uhitila jednog od novinara BBC-a koji je pratio prosvjede protiv covid-19 mjera u Šangaju, ali je pušten iz pritvora nakon nekoliko sati, objavio je BBC, prenosi Reuters.

"BBC je iznimno zabrinut zbog tretmana našeg novinara Eda Lawrencea koji je uhićen i vezan lisicama dok je izvještavao o prosvjedima u Šangaju", poručio je priopćenjem glasnogovornik britanskog javnog servisa.

"Zadržan je nekoliko sati. Prilikom uhićenja policija ga je tukla i udarala nogom. To se dogodilo dok je radio kao akreditirani novinar", dodao je glasnogovornik.

Šangaj je jedan od brojnih kineskih gradova u kojima se prosvjeduje protiv strogih restrikcija zbog covida-19.

Prosvjedi su se proširili nakon što se u Urumqiju na zapadu zemlje zapalila zgrada, a njeni stanovnici zbog strogih mjera nisu mogli pobjeći od požara, pri čemu je život izgubilo deset ljudi.

BBC kaže da nije dobio vjerodostojno objašnjenje za Lawrenceovo pritvaranje.

"Nismo dobili nikakvo službeno objašnjenje ili ispriku od kineskih vlasti, osim tvrdnje dužnosnika koji su ga kasnije pustili, da su ga uhitili za njegovo dobro u slučaju da je dobio covid-19 od gomile", navodi BBC.

Kineska policija pretukla je i uhitila jednog od novinara BBC-a koji je pratio prosvjede protiv covid-19 mjera u Šangaju, ali je pušten iz pritvora nakon nekoliko sati, objavio je BBC, prenosi Reuters.

"BBC je iznimno zabrinut zbog tretmana našeg novinara Eda Lawrencea koji je uhićen i vezan lisicama dok je izvještavao o prosvjedima u Šangaju", poručio je priopćenjem glasnogovornik britanskog javnog servisa.

"Zadržan je nekoliko sati. Prilikom uhićenja policija ga je tukla i udarala nogom. To se dogodilo dok je radio kao akreditirani novinar", dodao je glasnogovornik.

Šangaj je jedan od brojnih kineskih gradova u kojima se prosvjeduje protiv strogih restrikcija zbog covida-19.

Prosvjedi su se proširili nakon što se u Urumqiju na zapadu zemlje zapalila zgrada, a njeni stanovnici zbog strogih mjera nisu mogli pobjeći od požara, pri čemu je život izgubilo deset ljudi.

BBC kaže da nije dobio vjerodostojno objašnjenje za Lawrenceovo pritvaranje.

"Nismo dobili nikakvo službeno objašnjenje ili ispriku od kineskih vlasti, osim tvrdnje dužnosnika koji su ga kasnije pustili, da su ga uhitili za njegovo dobro u slučaju da je dobio covid-19 od gomile", navodi BBC.

Kineska policija pretukla je i uhitila jednog od novinara BBC-a koji je pratio prosvjede protiv covid-19 mjera u Šangaju, ali je pušten iz pritvora nakon nekoliko sati, objavio je BBC, prenosi Reuters.

"BBC je iznimno zabrinut zbog tretmana našeg novinara Eda Lawrencea koji je uhićen i vezan lisicama dok je izvještavao o prosvjedima u Šangaju", poručio je priopćenjem glasnogovornik britanskog javnog servisa.

"Zadržan je nekoliko sati. Prilikom uhićenja policija ga je tukla i udarala nogom. To se dogodilo dok je radio kao akreditirani novinar", dodao je glasnogovornik.

Šangaj je jedan od brojnih kineskih gradova u kojima se prosvjeduje protiv strogih restrikcija zbog covida-19.

Prosvjedi su se proširili nakon što se u Urumqiju na zapadu zemlje zapalila zgrada, a njeni stanovnici zbog strogih mjera nisu mogli pobjeći od požara, pri čemu je život izgubilo deset ljudi.

BBC kaže da nije dobio vjerodostojno objašnjenje za Lawrenceovo pritvaranje.

"Nismo dobili nikakvo službeno objašnjenje ili ispriku od kineskih vlasti, osim tvrdnje dužnosnika koji su ga kasnije pustili, da su ga uhitili za njegovo dobro u slučaju da je dobio covid-19 od gomile", navodi BBC.
