Zastupnički dom američkog Kongresa u utorak je odobrio National Defense Authorization Act (u slobodnom prijevodu - zakon za odobrenje sredstava za obranu), javlja The Wall Street Journal, a prenosi Slobodna Dalmacija.

Riječ je o aktu kojim je zapravo izglasan obrambeni proračun SAD-a težak 778 milijardi dolara, čak 25 milijardi dolara više nego je zatražila Bidenova administracija.

Za proračun je glasalo 363 zastupnika, a samo 70 ih je bilo protiv, što pokazuje da financijski zahtjevi Pentagona imaju široku potporu s obje strane političkog spektra, i među republikancima i među demokratima. Zakon sada ide na glasanje u Senat, u kojem je vođa demokratske većine Chuck Schumer već rekao kako očekuje da će proći bez dodatnih amandmana. Nakon što i tamo prođe, ide predsjedniku Bidenu na potpis.

Kako je to već ustaljena praska u SAD-u, i ovaj obrambeni proračun veći je od prethodnih - tako će ove godine na programe koji se tiču nacionalne sigurnosti biti utrošeno oko 753,5 milijardi dolara (od toga oko 37 milijardi otpada na projekte Ministarstva energije), dok je 2020. godine ta brojka iznosila 721,5 milijardi dolara.

Izdašni budžet omogućit će Ratnoj mornarici SAD-a da kupi 13 novih borbenih brodova, među njima i tri razarača klase Arleigh Burke te dvije nuklearne podmornice klase Virginia, a iako Pentagon to nije zatražio, odobrena su sredstva i za nabavu 12 novih F/A-18E/F Super Horneta. Ni Zračne snage SAD-a neće ostati kratke za novo naoružanje pa im je tako odobren iznos za nabavu 17 borbenih aviona F-15EX (riječ je o najnovijim varijantama legendarnog "Eaglea"). Iznos za nabavu najmodernijih F-35-ica je pak ostao u skladu s predviđanjima.

Zanimljivo, u proračunu se našla stavka i od 300 milijuna dolara za vojnu pomoć Ukrajini, a određeni dio sredstava odvojit će i za osnivanje komisije koja će ocijeniti ulogu SAD-a u ratu u Afganistanu. (Pripremio: Ivan Zrinjski)

Zastupnički dom američkog Kongresa u utorak je odobrio National Defense Authorization Act (u slobodnom prijevodu - zakon za odobrenje sredstava za obranu), javlja The Wall Street Journal, a prenosi Slobodna Dalmacija.

Riječ je o aktu kojim je zapravo izglasan obrambeni proračun SAD-a težak 778 milijardi dolara, čak 25 milijardi dolara više nego je zatražila Bidenova administracija.

Za proračun je glasalo 363 zastupnika, a samo 70 ih je bilo protiv, što pokazuje da financijski zahtjevi Pentagona imaju široku potporu s obje strane političkog spektra, i među republikancima i među demokratima. Zakon sada ide na glasanje u Senat, u kojem je vođa demokratske većine Chuck Schumer već rekao kako očekuje da će proći bez dodatnih amandmana. Nakon što i tamo prođe, ide predsjedniku Bidenu na potpis.

Kako je to već ustaljena praska u SAD-u, i ovaj obrambeni proračun veći je od prethodnih - tako će ove godine na programe koji se tiču nacionalne sigurnosti biti utrošeno oko 753,5 milijardi dolara (od toga oko 37 milijardi otpada na projekte Ministarstva energije), dok je 2020. godine ta brojka iznosila 721,5 milijardi dolara.

Izdašni budžet omogućit će Ratnoj mornarici SAD-a da kupi 13 novih borbenih brodova, među njima i tri razarača klase Arleigh Burke te dvije nuklearne podmornice klase Virginia, a iako Pentagon to nije zatražio, odobrena su sredstva i za nabavu 12 novih F/A-18E/F Super Horneta. Ni Zračne snage SAD-a neće ostati kratke za novo naoružanje pa im je tako odobren iznos za nabavu 17 borbenih aviona F-15EX (riječ je o najnovijim varijantama legendarnog "Eaglea"). Iznos za nabavu najmodernijih F-35-ica je pak ostao u skladu s predviđanjima.

Zanimljivo, u proračunu se našla stavka i od 300 milijuna dolara za vojnu pomoć Ukrajini, a određeni dio sredstava odvojit će i za osnivanje komisije koja će ocijeniti ulogu SAD-a u ratu u Afganistanu. (Pripremio: Ivan Zrinjski)

Pentagonu nikad veći proračun, težak 778 milijardi dolara: kupuju se nuklearne podmornice, borbeni brodovi i avioni, a našla se je i jedna zanimljiva stavka

Zastupnički dom američkog Kongresa u utorak je odobrio National Defense Authorization Act (u slobodnom prijevodu - zakon za odobrenje sredstava za obranu), javlja The Wall Street Journal, a prenosi Slobodna Dalmacija.

Riječ je o aktu kojim je zapravo izglasan obrambeni proračun SAD-a težak 778 milijardi dolara, čak 25 milijardi dolara više nego je zatražila Bidenova administracija.

Za proračun je glasalo 363 zastupnika, a samo 70 ih je bilo protiv, što pokazuje da financijski zahtjevi Pentagona imaju široku potporu s obje strane političkog spektra, i među republikancima i među demokratima. Zakon sada ide na glasanje u Senat, u kojem je vođa demokratske većine Chuck Schumer već rekao kako očekuje da će proći bez dodatnih amandmana. Nakon što i tamo prođe, ide predsjedniku Bidenu na potpis.

Kako je to već ustaljena praska u SAD-u, i ovaj obrambeni proračun veći je od prethodnih - tako će ove godine na programe koji se tiču nacionalne sigurnosti biti utrošeno oko 753,5 milijardi dolara (od toga oko 37 milijardi otpada na projekte Ministarstva energije), dok je 2020. godine ta brojka iznosila 721,5 milijardi dolara.

Izdašni budžet omogućit će Ratnoj mornarici SAD-a da kupi 13 novih borbenih brodova, među njima i tri razarača klase Arleigh Burke te dvije nuklearne podmornice klase Virginia, a iako Pentagon to nije zatražio, odobrena su sredstva i za nabavu 12 novih F/A-18E/F Super Horneta. Ni Zračne snage SAD-a neće ostati kratke za novo naoružanje pa im je tako odobren iznos za nabavu 17 borbenih aviona F-15EX (riječ je o najnovijim varijantama legendarnog "Eaglea"). Iznos za nabavu najmodernijih F-35-ica je pak ostao u skladu s predviđanjima.

Zanimljivo, u proračunu se našla stavka i od 300 milijuna dolara za vojnu pomoć Ukrajini, a određeni dio sredstava odvojit će i za osnivanje komisije koja će ocijeniti ulogu SAD-a u ratu u Afganistanu. (Pripremio: Ivan Zrinjski)
