U područjima zemlje s više snijega na cestama zimi, postoji staro uvriježeno mišljenje kako su nedovoljno napumpane gume bolje za vožnju po snijegu jer gume tada ostvaruju veći kontakt s podlogom. Iako to tehnički nije netočno (ponekad je primjerice korisno za lakše izvlačenje iz dubokog pijeska), zapravo nikada nije sigurno namjerno voziti s niskim tlakom u gumama, pa tako niti po snijegu i niskim temperaturama.
Vožnja s nedovoljno napuhanim gumama po zimi sa snježnim padalinama višestruko povećava vjerojatnost sudara koji je povezan s gumama, pokazala je studija američke Nacionalne uprave za sigurnost u prometu cestama. Dakle, samo pravilno napumpane gume bolje voze kroz snijeg, štede gorivo i ne manje važno - traju dulje, donosi Auto klub.
Automobilske gume većine modela automobila obično pumpamo na tlak od 2 do 2,4 bara, a preporučenu brojku za vaš automobil, koja je obično istaknuta na naljepnici negdje na automobilu (obično na limu unutarnje strane, ili okviru vrata), valja primjenjivati tijekom cijele godine jer ne postoje različiti brojevi za ljeto ili zimu.

Međutim, vanjska temperatura ipak utječe na tlak u gumama, pa ćete zato zimi kada stignu "minusi" trebati češće provjeravati i dopunjavati gume zrakom nego u ljetnim mjesecima, a sve kako biste održali idealan tlak koji je jedan od bitnijih faktora za sigurnost vožnje.
Ljeti te potrebe nema jer se toplije molekule zraka u gumi brže kreću i više se "sudaraju" jedna o drugu, podižući tlak u gumama na traženu razinu. Kada temperatura padne, molekule zraka usporavaju i "lijepe" međusobno što rezultira padom tlaka zraka i potencijalno nedovoljno napuhanom gumom.
U praksi, mnogi proizvođači guma procjenjuju da gume gube 0,06 bara za svakih 10 stupnjeva pada vanjske temperature. Isto tako dugotrajnije stajanje automobila na mjestu zimi obično vlasnika dočeka s djelomično ispumpanim gumama. Korisno: ako vaš automobil ima sustav za nadzor tlaka u gumama, svjetleće upozorenje će se aktivirati padom tlaka od najmanje 25 posto. Ovo "sitnica" je posebno korisna za praćenje tlaka u gumama po hladnom vremenu.
Ako nemate taj senzor, provjerite gume već nakon što je vaš automobil bio parkiran samo nekoliko sati (vožnja podiže temperaturu zraka, a time i tlak zraka u gumama) kako biste dobili što točniju brojku gubitka u odnosu na propisanu. Obavezno pritom provjerite preporučeni tlak za prednje i stražnje gume, jer se obično prednje zbog mase motora ispod poklopca pumpaju oko 0,2 bara više nego stražnje.

Potom brzo i čvrsto umetnite mjerač tlaka u zračni ventil gume za točno očitanje, a ako su vaše gume ispod preporučene brojke za vaš automobil, upotrijebite zračni kompresor da ih napumpate dok ne dobijete željeno očitanje, piše Auto klub.
Najbolje je provjeravati gume jednom mjesečno, jer se kod slabije napumpanih guma s nižim bočnim profilom pad tlaka ne vidi uvijek "od oka" kao kod onih s višim profilom. Drugi znakovi da su vaše gume možda nedovoljno napumpane: volan podrhtava, ako je u pitanju samo jedna guma "vuče u stranu", ili je potrebno "više ceste" kod kočenja. Prevencija je uvijek bolja od "liječenja"...

U područjima zemlje s više snijega na cestama zimi, postoji staro uvriježeno mišljenje kako su nedovoljno napumpane gume bolje za vožnju po snijegu jer gume tada ostvaruju veći kontakt s podlogom. Iako to tehnički nije netočno (ponekad je primjerice korisno za lakše izvlačenje iz dubokog pijeska), zapravo nikada nije sigurno namjerno voziti s niskim tlakom u gumama, pa tako niti po snijegu i niskim temperaturama.
Vožnja s nedovoljno napuhanim gumama po zimi sa snježnim padalinama višestruko povećava vjerojatnost sudara koji je povezan s gumama, pokazala je studija američke Nacionalne uprave za sigurnost u prometu cestama. Dakle, samo pravilno napumpane gume bolje voze kroz snijeg, štede gorivo i ne manje važno - traju dulje, donosi Auto klub.
Automobilske gume većine modela automobila obično pumpamo na tlak od 2 do 2,4 bara, a preporučenu brojku za vaš automobil, koja je obično istaknuta na naljepnici negdje na automobilu (obično na limu unutarnje strane, ili okviru vrata), valja primjenjivati tijekom cijele godine jer ne postoje različiti brojevi za ljeto ili zimu.

Međutim, vanjska temperatura ipak utječe na tlak u gumama, pa ćete zato zimi kada stignu "minusi" trebati češće provjeravati i dopunjavati gume zrakom nego u ljetnim mjesecima, a sve kako biste održali idealan tlak koji je jedan od bitnijih faktora za sigurnost vožnje.
Ljeti te potrebe nema jer se toplije molekule zraka u gumi brže kreću i više se "sudaraju" jedna o drugu, podižući tlak u gumama na traženu razinu. Kada temperatura padne, molekule zraka usporavaju i "lijepe" međusobno što rezultira padom tlaka zraka i potencijalno nedovoljno napuhanom gumom.
U praksi, mnogi proizvođači guma procjenjuju da gume gube 0,06 bara za svakih 10 stupnjeva pada vanjske temperature. Isto tako dugotrajnije stajanje automobila na mjestu zimi obično vlasnika dočeka s djelomično ispumpanim gumama. Korisno: ako vaš automobil ima sustav za nadzor tlaka u gumama, svjetleće upozorenje će se aktivirati padom tlaka od najmanje 25 posto. Ovo "sitnica" je posebno korisna za praćenje tlaka u gumama po hladnom vremenu.
Ako nemate taj senzor, provjerite gume već nakon što je vaš automobil bio parkiran samo nekoliko sati (vožnja podiže temperaturu zraka, a time i tlak zraka u gumama) kako biste dobili što točniju brojku gubitka u odnosu na propisanu. Obavezno pritom provjerite preporučeni tlak za prednje i stražnje gume, jer se obično prednje zbog mase motora ispod poklopca pumpaju oko 0,2 bara više nego stražnje.

Potom brzo i čvrsto umetnite mjerač tlaka u zračni ventil gume za točno očitanje, a ako su vaše gume ispod preporučene brojke za vaš automobil, upotrijebite zračni kompresor da ih napumpate dok ne dobijete željeno očitanje, piše Auto klub.
Najbolje je provjeravati gume jednom mjesečno, jer se kod slabije napumpanih guma s nižim bočnim profilom pad tlaka ne vidi uvijek "od oka" kao kod onih s višim profilom. Drugi znakovi da su vaše gume možda nedovoljno napumpane: volan podrhtava, ako je u pitanju samo jedna guma "vuče u stranu", ili je potrebno "više ceste" kod kočenja. Prevencija je uvijek bolja od "liječenja"...
