Europska agencija za lijekove (EMA) dala je zeleno svjetlo cjepivu protiv korone američkog proizvođača Novavax, priopćeno je iz sjedišta agencije u Amsterdamu. Ovo će biti peto cjepivo na tržištu u EU, prenosi Deutsche Welle, a očekuje se da će stići još u prvom tromjesečju 2022. godine, prenosi Slobodna Dalmacija.

Učinkovitost oko 90 posto

Nakon detaljne procjene, nadležna komisija je došla do zaključka da su "ispunjeni kriteriji EU u vezi s učinkovitošću, sigurnosti i kvalitetom", objavila je EMA. Sada još Europska komisija treba dati svoje odobrenje. Ali to je samo formalnost.

Novavaxovo cjepivo (NVX-CoV2373) ubrizgava se u dvije doze u razmaku od oko tri tjedna. Prema studijama, vrlo je učinkovito pa mu je zaštita od infekcije oko 90 posto. Međutim, još je nejasno koliko ovo cjepivo štiti od nove varijante omikrona.

Naime, do sada je bilo samo slučajeva blagih neželjenih nuspojava.

Alternativa za sve koji su skeptični

Ovo cjepivo bi moglo biti alternativa za one koji su skeptični prema do sada odobrenim cjepivima u Europskoj uniji, jer je zasnovano na drugoj tehnologiji: ne koristi mRNA kao BionTech/Pfizer i Moderna, a nije ni vektorsko cjepivo poput AstraZenece i Johnson & Johnsona.

Novavax sadrži sitne čestice laboratorijski napravljene verzije spike-proteina virusa Sars-CoV-2. Oni bi trebali potaknuti tijelo na stimuliranje proizvodnje antitijela i T-stanica protiv ovog tipa virusa, zaključuje Deutsche Welle.

Europska agencija za lijekove (EMA) dala je zeleno svjetlo cjepivu protiv korone američkog proizvođača Novavax, priopćeno je iz sjedišta agencije u Amsterdamu. Ovo će biti peto cjepivo na tržištu u EU, prenosi Deutsche Welle, a očekuje se da će stići još u prvom tromjesečju 2022. godine, prenosi Slobodna Dalmacija.

Učinkovitost oko 90 posto

Nakon detaljne procjene, nadležna komisija je došla do zaključka da su "ispunjeni kriteriji EU u vezi s učinkovitošću, sigurnosti i kvalitetom", objavila je EMA. Sada još Europska komisija treba dati svoje odobrenje. Ali to je samo formalnost.

Novavaxovo cjepivo (NVX-CoV2373) ubrizgava se u dvije doze u razmaku od oko tri tjedna. Prema studijama, vrlo je učinkovito pa mu je zaštita od infekcije oko 90 posto. Međutim, još je nejasno koliko ovo cjepivo štiti od nove varijante omikrona.

Naime, do sada je bilo samo slučajeva blagih neželjenih nuspojava.

Alternativa za sve koji su skeptični

Ovo cjepivo bi moglo biti alternativa za one koji su skeptični prema do sada odobrenim cjepivima u Europskoj uniji, jer je zasnovano na drugoj tehnologiji: ne koristi mRNA kao BionTech/Pfizer i Moderna, a nije ni vektorsko cjepivo poput AstraZenece i Johnson & Johnsona.

Novavax sadrži sitne čestice laboratorijski napravljene verzije spike-proteina virusa Sars-CoV-2. Oni bi trebali potaknuti tijelo na stimuliranje proizvodnje antitijela i T-stanica protiv ovog tipa virusa, zaključuje Deutsche Welle.

Europska agencija za lijekove (EMA) dala je zeleno svjetlo cjepivu protiv korone američkog proizvođača Novavax, priopćeno je iz sjedišta agencije u Amsterdamu. Ovo će biti peto cjepivo na tržištu u EU, prenosi Deutsche Welle, a očekuje se da će stići još u prvom tromjesečju 2022. godine, prenosi Slobodna Dalmacija.

Učinkovitost oko 90 posto

Nakon detaljne procjene, nadležna komisija je došla do zaključka da su "ispunjeni kriteriji EU u vezi s učinkovitošću, sigurnosti i kvalitetom", objavila je EMA. Sada još Europska komisija treba dati svoje odobrenje. Ali to je samo formalnost.

Novavaxovo cjepivo (NVX-CoV2373) ubrizgava se u dvije doze u razmaku od oko tri tjedna. Prema studijama, vrlo je učinkovito pa mu je zaštita od infekcije oko 90 posto. Međutim, još je nejasno koliko ovo cjepivo štiti od nove varijante omikrona.

Naime, do sada je bilo samo slučajeva blagih neželjenih nuspojava.

Alternativa za sve koji su skeptični

Ovo cjepivo bi moglo biti alternativa za one koji su skeptični prema do sada odobrenim cjepivima u Europskoj uniji, jer je zasnovano na drugoj tehnologiji: ne koristi mRNA kao BionTech/Pfizer i Moderna, a nije ni vektorsko cjepivo poput AstraZenece i Johnson & Johnsona.

Novavax sadrži sitne čestice laboratorijski napravljene verzije spike-proteina virusa Sars-CoV-2. Oni bi trebali potaknuti tijelo na stimuliranje proizvodnje antitijela i T-stanica protiv ovog tipa virusa, zaključuje Deutsche Welle.
