U narednim tjednima Izraelske obrambene snage (IDF) gotovo će sigurno izvesti kopnenu invaziju na Gazu, iako bi ona mogla biti nešto manjeg opsega nego što se to inicijalno očekivalo. Nema sumnje da će vojnike IDF-a dočekati vrlo teško urbano okruženje u kojem će opasnost prijetiti s gotovo svake strane. A jedan od ključnih elemenata koje će koristi militanti Hamasa, ali i drugih oružanih skupina poput Islamskog džihada, je mreža tunela ispod Gaza Cityja.

Kako bi doskočio nenadanom "iskakanju" protivnika iz zemlje, ili ih spriječili da u tunele pobjegnu, IDF je počeo testirati novi tip "oružja". Riječ o svojevrsnim "spužvastim bombama" čija svrha nije eksplozijom raznijeti nešto, već upravo suprotno - one aktiviranjem stvaraju već sloj pjene koji se rapidno širi i učvršćuje. Ta pjena bi onda ulaze/izlaze iz tunela promptno zatvorila, piše The Telegraph.

IDF taj tip sprave ili oružja testira još od 2021. godine, a namijenjen je upravo za korištenje protiv takozvanog "Gaza metroa", to jest gore spomenute mreže tunela koja se ispod Gaza Cityja proteže stotinama kilometara, a koju militanti koriste ne samo kao sklonište, već i skladišta oružja i municije te mjesto za držanje talaca. Izraelske snage nadaju se da će im spužvaste bombe pomoći tako da će zatvoriti tunele prije nego Hamas može kroz njih napasti.

"Bomba" se u osnovi sastoji od plastične posude s metalnom pregradom koja odvaja dvije tekućine. Nakon što se pregrada izvuče, spojevi se pomiješaju i dolazi do kemijske reakcije, a vojnik "bombu" u tom trenu postavlja ili baca na mjesto gdje želi da dođe do stvaranja tvrde pjenaste zapreke, donosi Jutarnji list

No, problem s ovim "oružjem" je u tome da je rizično za upotrebu - štoviše, neki izraelski vojnici navodno su zbog rukovanja ovom "bombom", koja je u osnovi miks tekućina, ostali bez vida.

Još jedna opcija za izraelske vojnike je da u tunele puste i robote. No, njihov domet i efekt vjerojatno nije dostatan za tip operacije koja se želi izvesti. Napose je tu problem s dometom radio signala kojim se kontrolira robot - što je isti problem koji će mučiti IDF i prilikom slanja mikrodronova u tunele.

The Telegraph piše kako je IDF razvio i takozvane "mikro robote" koji se čak mogu i uspinjati stepenicama te nositi eksploziv koji se može detonirati po potrebi.

Toga je Hamas itekako svjestan te je kroz proteklo desetljeće razradio taktike ratovanja koje se u velikoj mjeri oslanjaju na tunele i općenito postavljanje zasjeda u urbanom okruženju.

U narednim tjednima Izraelske obrambene snage (IDF) gotovo će sigurno izvesti kopnenu invaziju na Gazu, iako bi ona mogla biti nešto manjeg opsega nego što se to inicijalno očekivalo. Nema sumnje da će vojnike IDF-a dočekati vrlo teško urbano okruženje u kojem će opasnost prijetiti s gotovo svake strane. A jedan od ključnih elemenata koje će koristi militanti Hamasa, ali i drugih oružanih skupina poput Islamskog džihada, je mreža tunela ispod Gaza Cityja.

Kako bi doskočio nenadanom "iskakanju" protivnika iz zemlje, ili ih spriječili da u tunele pobjegnu, IDF je počeo testirati novi tip "oružja". Riječ o svojevrsnim "spužvastim bombama" čija svrha nije eksplozijom raznijeti nešto, već upravo suprotno - one aktiviranjem stvaraju već sloj pjene koji se rapidno širi i učvršćuje. Ta pjena bi onda ulaze/izlaze iz tunela promptno zatvorila, piše The Telegraph.

IDF taj tip sprave ili oružja testira još od 2021. godine, a namijenjen je upravo za korištenje protiv takozvanog "Gaza metroa", to jest gore spomenute mreže tunela koja se ispod Gaza Cityja proteže stotinama kilometara, a koju militanti koriste ne samo kao sklonište, već i skladišta oružja i municije te mjesto za držanje talaca. U narednim tjednima Izraelske obrambene snage (IDF) gotovo će sigurno izvesti kopnenu invaziju na Gazu, iako bi ona mogla biti nešto manjeg opsega nego što se to inicijalno očekivalo. Nema sumnje da će vojnike IDF-a dočekati vrlo teško urbano okruženje u kojem će opasnost prijetiti s gotovo svake strane. A jedan od ključnih elemenata koje će koristi militanti Hamasa, ali i drugih oružanih skupina poput Islamskog džihada, je mreža tunela ispod Gaza Cityja.

Kako bi doskočio nenadanom "iskakanju" protivnika iz zemlje, ili ih spriječili da u tunele pobjegnu, IDF je počeo testirati novi tip "oružja". Riječ o svojevrsnim "spužvastim bombama" čija svrha nije eksplozijom raznijeti nešto, već upravo suprotno - one aktiviranjem stvaraju već sloj pjene koji se rapidno širi i učvršćuje. Ta pjena bi onda ulaze/izlaze iz tunela promptno zatvorila, piše The Telegraph.

IDF taj tip sprave ili oružja testira još od 2021. godine, a namijenjen je upravo za korištenje protiv takozvanog "Gaza metroa", to jest gore spomenute mreže tunela koja se ispod Gaza Cityja proteže stotinama kilometara, a koju militanti koriste ne samo kao sklonište, već i skladišta oružja i municije te mjesto za držanje talaca.
