Booster doza cjepiva protiv covida-19 pruža starijima visoku razinu zaštite protiv teškog oblika bolesti izazvanog omikron varijantom pa nema potrebe za četvrtom dozom, poručili su u petak britanski zdravstveni dužnosnici.

Oko tri mjeseca nakon treće doze cjepiva, zaštita od hospitalizacije za starije od 65 godina ostala je na oko 90 posto, objavila je britanska agencija za zdravstvenu sigurnost (UKHSA).

"Podaci su vrlo ohrabrujući i naglašvaju važnost booster doze", poručio je priopćenjem Wei Shen Lim, predsjedavajući pododbora za covid-19 vladinog Zajedničkog odbora za cijepljenje i imunizaciju.

"Trenutni podaci pokazuju da booster doza nastavlja pružati visoku razinu zaštite protiv teške bolesti, čak i za najranjivije starije dobne skupine", dodao je.

Zbog toga je odbor zaključio da nije odmah potrebno "uvesti drugu booster dozu", poručio je Wei Shen Lim.

Zaštita od blagog oblika bolesti kratkotrajnija je od zaštite protiv teškog oblika bolesti te je pala na oko 30 posto nakon otprirlike tri mjeseca, navodi UKHSA.

Booster doza cjepiva protiv covida-19 pruža starijima visoku razinu zaštite protiv teškog oblika bolesti izazvanog omikron varijantom pa nema potrebe za četvrtom dozom, poručili su u petak britanski zdravstveni dužnosnici.

Oko tri mjeseca nakon treće doze cjepiva, zaštita od hospitalizacije za starije od 65 godina ostala je na oko 90 posto, objavila je britanska agencija za zdravstvenu sigurnost (UKHSA).

"Podaci su vrlo ohrabrujući i naglašvaju važnost booster doze", poručio je priopćenjem Wei Shen Lim, predsjedavajući pododbora za covid-19 vladinog Zajedničkog odbora za cijepljenje i imunizaciju.

"Trenutni podaci pokazuju da booster doza nastavlja pružati visoku razinu zaštite protiv teške bolesti, čak i za najranjivije starije dobne skupine", dodao je.

Zbog toga je odbor zaključio da nije odmah potrebno "uvesti drugu booster dozu", poručio je Wei Shen Lim.

Zaštita od blagog oblika bolesti kratkotrajnija je od zaštite protiv teškog oblika bolesti te je pala na oko 30 posto nakon otprirlike tri mjeseca, navodi UKHSA.

Britanski zdravstveni dužnosnici: Trenutni podaci pokazuju da booster doza nastavlja pružati visoku razinu zaštite protiv teške bolesti, čak i za najranjivije starije dobne skupine

Booster doza cjepiva protiv covida-19 pruža starijima visoku razinu zaštite protiv teškog oblika bolesti izazvanog omikron varijantom pa nema potrebe za četvrtom dozom, poručili su u petak britanski zdravstveni dužnosnici.

Oko tri mjeseca nakon treće doze cjepiva, zaštita od hospitalizacije za starije od 65 godina ostala je na oko 90 posto, objavila je britanska agencija za zdravstvenu sigurnost (UKHSA).

"Podaci su vrlo ohrabrujući i naglašvaju važnost booster doze", poručio je priopćenjem Wei Shen Lim, predsjedavajući pododbora za covid-19 vladinog Zajedničkog odbora za cijepljenje i imunizaciju.

"Trenutni podaci pokazuju da booster doza nastavlja pružati visoku razinu zaštite protiv teške bolesti, čak i za najranjivije starije dobne skupine", dodao je.

Zbog toga je odbor zaključio da nije odmah potrebno "uvesti drugu booster dozu", poručio je Wei Shen Lim.

Zaštita od blagog oblika bolesti kratkotrajnija je od zaštite protiv teškog oblika bolesti te je pala na oko 30 posto nakon otprirlike tri mjeseca, navodi UKHSA.
