Rok trajanja namirnica može biti prilično zbunjujuć. Ne samo da postoji više datuma koje valja razumjeti – 'rok trajanja' i 'najbolje upotrijebiti do…' – već ponekad ti datumi mogu biti i potpuno pogrešni, donosi Slobodna Dalmacija.

S druge strane, mnogo se hrane baca iako je još potpuno dobra i sigurna za konzumaciju.

No, postoje neke vrste hrane koje se nikad ne kvare i na kojima datume i ne morate gledati, piše Jutarnji.

1. Med

Med ima neograničen rok trajanja. Može promijeniti boju ili se kristalizirati, no i dalje će biti dobar za jelo. Ako se med kristalizira, jednostavno stavite otvorenu staklenku u toplu vodi i miješajte dok se kristali ne rastope.

2. Riža

Čak i ako se na kutiji uhvati debeli sloj prašine, riža unutra bit će jednako dobra kao i onoga dana kad ste je kupili. To vrijedi za sve tipove riže: dugog i kratkog zrna, bijelu smeđu, basmati… No ne i za smeđu rižu koje je zbog većeg udjela ulja sklonija kvarenju. Jedino na što morate paziti kod skladištenja riže: čuvate je od insekata!

3. Bijeli ocat

Možete kupiti veću količinu bijelog octa bez straha da će vam se pokvariti. Naime, on može trajati vječno. Osim što ga možete koristiti u raznim salatama, odličan je i kao sredstvo za čišćenje.

4. Ekstrakt vanilije

Čisti ekstrakt vanilije zauvijek će ostati svjež, jer se čuva u čistom alkoholu. No pripazite da se radi o doista pravom ekstraktu vanilije jer onaj umjetni nema toliki životni vijek. Imajući to na umu, nije loše kupiti onu pravu, malo skuplju varijantu.

5. Sol

Sol, bila ona morska ili kamena, ne može se pokvariti i zauvijek ostaje svježa.

6. Kukuruzni škrob

I ova namirnica ima neograničen vijek trajanja, no morate je čuvati na hladnom mjestu i dobro zatvorenu. A kako se zaliha kukuruznog škroba ne potroši baš tako brzo, možete je mirne duše nastaviti koristiti dugo vremena.

7. Šećer

Kod šećera nije problem održati ga svježim, nego spriječiti da ne postane tvrd kao kamen. Šećer se neće nikada pokvariti jer ne podržava razvoj bakterija. Jedino na što morate paziti je da ga držite podalje od vlage i insekata.

8. Žestoka pića

Ne morate žuriti da dovršite onu bocu gina – dobro zatvorena i na hladnom mjestu uskladištena boca žestice može trajati koliko god je potrebno.

Ne morate brinuti o kvaliteti žestokih pića koja ste naslijedili od bake. S vremenom mogu neznatno promijeniti aromu, no to vjerojatno nećete ni osjetiti.

9. Suhi grah

I suhi grah može stajati unedogled. No trebat će mu nešto duže da omekša prije kuhanja, a ponekad neće omekšati uopće, pogotovo ako je stajao dvije-tri godine. Ipak, nikad neće izgubiti niti svoju nutritivnu vrijednost.

10. Instant kava

Instant kavu u hladnjaku možete čuvati zauvijek i to bez obzira je li pakiranje otvoreno ili nije.

11. Javorov sirup

Iako se ova namirnica kod nas baš i ne koristi često, imate li je u kući znajte da ni ona nema rok trajanja. Javorov sirup najčešće se koristi kao preljev za palačinke ili neke druge slastice.

Rok trajanja namirnica može biti prilično zbunjujuć. Ne samo da postoji više datuma koje valja razumjeti – 'rok trajanja' i 'najbolje upotrijebiti do…' – već ponekad ti datumi mogu biti i potpuno pogrešni, donosi Slobodna Dalmacija.

No, postoje neke vrste hrane koje se nikad ne kvare i na kojima datume i ne morate gledati, piše Jutarnji.

1. Med

Med ima neograničen rok trajanja. Može promijeniti boju ili se kristalizirati, no i dalje će biti dobar za jelo. Ako se med kristalizira, jednostavno stavite otvorenu staklenku u toplu vodi i miješajte dok se kristali ne rastope.

2. Riža

Čak i ako se na kutiji uhvati debeli sloj prašine, riža unutra bit će jednako dobra kao i onoga dana kad ste je kupili. To vrijedi za sve tipove riže: dugog i kratkog zrna, bijelu smeđu, basmati… No ne i za smeđu rižu koje je zbog većeg udjela ulja sklonija kvarenju. Jedino na što morate paziti kod skladištenja riže: čuvate je od insekata!

3. Bijeli ocat

Možete kupiti veću količinu bijelog octa bez straha da će vam se pokvariti. Naime, on može trajati vječno. Osim što ga možete koristiti u raznim salatama, odličan je i kao sredstvo za čišćenje.

4. Ekstrakt vanilije

Čisti ekstrakt vanilije zauvijek će ostati svjež, jer se čuva u čistom alkoholu. No pripazite da se radi o doista pravom ekstraktu vanilije jer onaj umjetni nema toliki životni vijek. Imajući to na umu, nije loše kupiti onu pravu, malo skuplju varijantu.

5. Sol

Sol, bila ona morska ili kamena, ne može se pokvariti i zauvijek ostaje svježa.

6. Kukuruzni škrob

I ova namirnica ima neograničen vijek trajanja, no morate je čuvati na hladnom mjestu i dobro zatvorenu. A kako se zaliha kukuruznog škroba ne potroši baš tako brzo, možete je mirne duše nastaviti koristiti dugo vremena.

7. Šećer

Kod šećera nije problem održati ga svježim, nego spriječiti da ne postane tvrd kao kamen. Šećer se neće nikada pokvariti jer ne podržava razvoj bakterija. Jedino na što morate paziti je da ga držite podalje od vlage i insekata.

8. Žestoka pića

Ne morate žuriti da dovršite onu bocu gina – dobro zatvorena i na hladnom mjestu uskladištena boca žestice može trajati koliko god je potrebno.

Ne morate brinuti o kvaliteti žestokih pića koja ste naslijedili od bake. S vremenom mogu neznatno promijeniti aromu, no to vjerojatno nećete ni osjetiti.

9. Suhi grah

I suhi grah može stajati unedogled. No trebat će mu nešto duže da omekša prije kuhanja, a ponekad neće omekšati uopće, pogotovo ako je stajao dvije-tri godine. Ipak, nikad neće izgubiti niti svoju nutritivnu vrijednost.

10. Instant kava

Instant kavu u hladnjaku možete čuvati zauvijek i to bez obzira je li pakiranje otvoreno ili nije.

11. Javorov sirup

Iako se ova namirnica kod nas baš i ne koristi često, imate li je u kući znajte da ni ona nema rok trajanja. Javorov sirup najčešće se koristi kao preljev za palačinke ili neke druge slastice.

Rok trajanja namirnica može biti prilično zbunjujuć. Ne samo da postoji više datuma koje valja razumjeti – 'rok trajanja' i 'najbolje upotrijebiti do…' – već ponekad ti datumi mogu biti i potpuno pogrešni, donosi Slobodna Dalmacija.

S druge strane, mnogo se hrane baca iako je još potpuno dobra i sigurna za konzumaciju.

No, postoje neke vrste hrane koje se nikad ne kvare i na kojima datume i ne morate gledati, piše Jutarnji.

1. Med

Med ima neograničen rok trajanja. Može promijeniti boju ili se kristalizirati, no i dalje će biti dobar za jelo. Ako se med kristalizira, jednostavno stavite otvorenu staklenku u toplu vodi i miješajte dok se kristali ne rastope.

2. Riža
