Punih 60 sati Gradska knjižnica u Obrovcu bila je pod vodom, dio knjižnog fonda je nepovratno uništen, a od svih javnih inastitucija upravo je Gradska knjižnica pretrpjela najveće štete. Voda je prodrla u nedjelju i povukla se tek u srijedu, a zaposlenici Gradske knjižnice i obrovački volonteri u četvrtak su zajednički rasčišćavali prizemni prostor u neposrednoj blizini Zrmanje.

-I do sada je rijeka znala potopiti naše prostore, ali bi prodrla do visine od oko 15 centimetara, dok je sada narasla do visine od jednog metra. Upozoreni smo da vodostaj raste, pa smo dobar dio građe podigli i tako ga spasili jer smo se orijentirali na spašavanje suhe građe do koje voda nije došla. Inventar nam je uništen i po uputi epidemiologa sve što je zahvaćeno vodom moramo baciti, a nakon toga nas čekaju i građevinski radovi, kaže Marina Brkić, ravnateljica Gradske knjižnice Obrovac.

Ravnateljica najavljuje da će do kraja dana biti i procijenjena šteta na knjižnom fondu.

-O stanju u Knjižnici smo obavijestili Ministarstvo kulture odakle su nam najavili pomoć, a zvale su nas i kolege iz Gradske knjižnice Zadar također nudeći pomoć, koju očekujemo i od Matične službe za narodne knjižnice Zadarske županije. Sami ne bismo mogli obnoviti Knjižnicu, pretrpjeli smo jako velike štete, zaključuje ravnateljica Brkić.

Punih 60 sati Gradska knjižnica u Obrovcu bila je pod vodom, dio knjižnog fonda je nepovratno uništen, a od svih javnih inastitucija upravo je Gradska knjižnica pretrpjela najveće štete. Voda je prodrla u nedjelju i povukla se tek u srijedu, a zaposlenici Gradske knjižnice i obrovački volonteri u četvrtak su zajednički rasčišćavali prizemni prostor u neposrednoj blizini Zrmanje.

-I do sada je rijeka znala potopiti naše prostore, ali bi prodrla do visine od oko 15 centimetara, dok je sada narasla do visine od jednog metra. Upozoreni smo da vodostaj raste, pa smo dobar dio građe podigli i tako ga spasili jer smo se orijentirali na spašavanje suhe građe do koje voda nije došla. Inventar nam je uništen i po uputi epidemiologa sve što je zahvaćeno vodom moramo baciti, a nakon toga nas čekaju i građevinski radovi, kaže Marina Brkić, ravnateljica Gradske knjižnice Obrovac.

Ravnateljica najavljuje da će do kraja dana biti i procijenjena šteta na knjižnom fondu.

-O stanju u Knjižnici smo obavijestili Ministarstvo kulture odakle su nam najavili pomoć, a zvale su nas i kolege iz Gradske knjižnice Zadar također nudeći pomoć, koju očekujemo i od Matične službe za narodne knjižnice Zadarske županije. Sami ne bismo mogli obnoviti Knjižnicu, pretrpjeli smo jako velike štete, zaključuje ravnateljica Brkić.
