Sebastián Marset na svojim fotografijama koje dijeli na društvenim mrežama izgleda kao simpatični mladi čovjek od 32 godine koji putuje svijetom i uživa u životu. No, to je samo varka jer iza te slike se krije opasni vođa narkokartela kojeg, za sada bezuspješno, love policijski specijalci u Južnoj Americi i u SAD-u.

U pozadini ove priče je društveni nered, siromaštvo i nestabilnost južnoameričkih država. Kako u svojoj globalnoj ediciji izvješćuje prestižni španjolski dnevnik El Pais, naizgled simpatični Marset je u svome rodnom Urugvaju vrlo opasan i utjecajan mafijaški šef koji ima tajne veze ne samo s političarima u domovini, nego i u Boliviji, Paragvaju i Kolumbiji. Vjeruje se da su mu ta moć i taj utjecaj omogućili da ubije urugvajskog javnog istražitelja i borca protiv mafije Marcela Peccia.

‘Zanat‘ peče od svoje 22. godine

Da stvar bude luđa, Marset ima više putovnica koje je dobio dok je bio u zatvoru u Dubaiju i u Arapskim Emiratima. Koristeći te putovnice Marset od veljače 2022. slobodno putuje svijetom i uspijeva izbjeći Interpolove tjeralice i uhidbeni nalog koji je izdao Urugvaj.

Zato se pokazalo vrlo kompliciranim uhvatiti trag ovoga mladog čovjeka koji poput kameleona skriva svoj pravi identitet, a novac zarađen od krijumčarenja droge ulaže u nogometne klubove, u karijere popularnih pjevača i u zabavne televizijske emisije, posebno u Paragvaju.

Inače, riječ je o mladiću koji je svoj kriminalni zanat počeo peći 2013. u svojoj 22. godini, kada je u Urugvaju uhićen i osuđen zbog krijumčarenja droge. Nakon petogodišnje zatvorske kazne pobjegao je iz zemlje kako bi izbjegao optužbu za ubojstvo. Godine 2021. je pobjegao iz Južne Amerike želeći se skloniti u Tursku, ali je "zaglavio" u zatvoru u Dubaiju.

Za to vrijeme u Urugvaju je vođena velika policijska istraga koja je pokazala kako je svojim skrivenim globalnim putovima u Europu planirao prokrijumčariti 16 tona raznih narkotika. Istovremeno u Urugvaju traje politička kriza povezana s parlamentarnom istragom glede uvezanosti pojedinih ministara u Marsetovu kriminalnu mrežu.

U pozadini toga je priča o umiješanosti urugvajske političke elite u kriminal.

Politika i kriminal

Naime, u pozadini činjenice da Sebastián Marset ima više putovnica je vrlo neodređena birokratska procedura koja je omogućavala skrivanje Marsetove zločinačke prošlosti. Zbog toga je u Urugvaju izbila politička kriza spomenute parlamentarne istrage glede odgovornosti pojedinih vladinih ministara. U kolovozu 2023. očekuje se ključno parlamentarno saslušanje, a očekuje se da bi državni odvjetnik trebao ispitati sadašnjega urugvajskoga ministra unutarnjih poslova, bivšeg zamjenika ministra vanjskih poslova, a vjerojatno i neke druge vladine dužnosnike od kojih će se tražiti dokumenti važni za istragu.

Istovremeno, novinarske su istrage pokazale kako je bivši pomoćnik ministra vanjskih poslova u svojoj izjavi u parlamentarnoj istrazi lagao te da je u najmanju ruku bio svjestan opasnosti koju predstavlja uvezanost kriminala i države koja, moguće, neslužbeno štiti krijumčare droge koji ugrožavaju živote "neposlušnih" državnih dužnosnika, a predstavljaju i globalnu opasnost, posebno za Sjedinjene Američke Države, ali i Europu koja dosad nije posvećivala dovoljno pozornosti problemima Južne Amerike.

Priča o Sebastiánu Marsetu i njegovim globalnim kriminalnim vezama vrlo je živopisna i zanimljiva novinarska tema, no u svojoj pozadini krije bolnu, opasnu i tragičnu stvarnost Južne Amerike.

Države Latinske Amerike su nastale kao kolonijalni posjed Španjolske i Portugala, zbog čega od početka svoga postojanja imaju jedan opasni političko-društveni defekt. Naime, njihova društvena struktura je u prošlosti počivala na nemilosrdnom kolonijalnom iskorištavanju zemlje i ljudi koji su bili robovi ili podređene sluge režima bez prava glasa. A premda su zemlje Latinske Amerike danas nominalno demokratske, stare kolonijalne elite i dalje imaju vrlo veliku moć i vješto manipuliraju političkim sustavom kako bi sačuvali svoju vlast i svoj utjecaj.

Ovaj povijesni defekt je nedavno isplivao na površinu u Peruu, gdje seljački slojevi zemlje bivšeg predsjednika Castilla – usprkos tome što su on i njegova obitelj umiješani u korupciju – smatraju svojim čovjekom koji štiti njihove interese od povlaštene elite u glavnom gradu Limi. Slično je i u ostalim latinoameričkim zemljama koje tijekom svoje dvostoljetne povijesti nisu uživale dobrobiti stabilnog demokratskog sustava koji omogućava postupan društveni razvoj i građanski prosperitet.

Kako stvari danas stoje, ovaj začarani krug ponavljat će se i ubuduće te će politika i kriminal i dalje biti čvrsto uvezani.

Sebastián Marset na svojim fotografijama koje dijeli na društvenim mrežama izgleda kao simpatični mladi čovjek od 32 godine koji putuje svijetom i uživa u životu. No, to je samo varka jer iza te slike se krije opasni vođa narkokartela kojeg, za sada bezuspješno, love policijski specijalci u Južnoj Americi i u SAD-u.

U pozadini ove priče je društveni nered, siromaštvo i nestabilnost južnoameričkih država. Kako u svojoj globalnoj ediciji izvješćuje prestižni španjolski dnevnik El Pais, naizgled simpatični Marset je u svome rodnom Urugvaju vrlo opasan i utjecajan mafijaški šef koji ima tajne veze ne samo s političarima u domovini, nego i u Boliviji, Paragvaju i Kolumbiji. Vjeruje se da su mu ta moć i taj utjecaj omogućili da ubije urugvajskog javnog istražitelja i borca protiv mafije Marcela Peccia.

‘Zanat‘ peče od svoje 22. godine

Da stvar bude luđa, Marset ima više putovnica koje je dobio dok je bio u zatvoru u Dubaiju i u Arapskim Emiratima. Koristeći te putovnice Marset od veljače 2022. slobodno putuje svijetom i uspijeva izbjeći Interpolove tjeralice i uhidbeni nalog koji je izdao Urugvaj.

Zato se pokazalo vrlo kompliciranim uhvatiti trag ovoga mladog čovjeka koji poput kameleona skriva svoj pravi identitet, a novac zarađen od krijumčarenja droge ulaže u nogometne klubove, u karijere popularnih pjevača i u zabavne televizijske emisije, posebno u Paragvaju.

Inače, riječ je o mladiću koji je svoj kriminalni zanat počeo peći 2013. u svojoj 22. godini, kada je u Urugvaju uhićen i osuđen zbog krijumčarenja droge. Nakon petogodišnje zatvorske kazne pobjegao je iz zemlje kako bi izbjegao optužbu za ubojstvo. Godine 2021. je pobjegao iz Južne Amerike želeći se skloniti u Tursku, ali je "zaglavio" u zatvoru u Dubaiju.

Za to vrijeme u Urugvaju je vođena velika policijska istraga koja je pokazala kako je svojim skrivenim globalnim putovima u Europu planirao prokrijumčariti 16 tona raznih narkotika. Istovremeno u Urugvaju traje politička kriza povezana s parlamentarnom istragom glede uvezanosti pojedinih ministara u Marsetovu kriminalnu mrežu.

U pozadini toga je priča o umiješanosti urugvajske političke elite u kriminal.

Politika i kriminal

Naime, u pozadini činjenice da Sebastián Marset ima više putovnica je vrlo neodređena birokratska procedura koja je omogućavala skrivanje Marsetove zločinačke prošlosti. Zbog toga je u Urugvaju izbila politička kriza spomenute parlamentarne istrage glede odgovornosti pojedinih vladinih ministara. U kolovozu 2023. očekuje se ključno parlamentarno saslušanje, a očekuje se da bi državni odvjetnik trebao ispitati sadašnjega urugvajskoga ministra unutarnjih poslova, bivšeg zamjenika ministra vanjskih poslova, a vjerojatno i neke druge vladine dužnosnike od kojih će se tražiti dokumenti važni za istragu.

Istovremeno, novinarske su istrage pokazale kako je bivši pomoćnik ministra vanjskih poslova u svojoj izjavi u parlamentarnoj istrazi lagao te da je u najmanju ruku bio svjestan opasnosti koju predstavlja uvezanost kriminala i države koja, moguće, neslužbeno štiti krijumčare droge koji ugrožavaju živote "neposlušnih" državnih dužnosnika, a predstavljaju i globalnu opasnost, posebno za Sjedinjene Američke Države, ali i Europu koja dosad nije posvećivala dovoljno pozornosti problemima Južne Amerike.

Priča o Sebastiánu Marsetu i njegovim globalnim kriminalnim vezama vrlo je živopisna i zanimljiva novinarska tema, no u svojoj pozadini krije bolnu, opasnu i tragičnu stvarnost Južne Amerike.

Države Latinske Amerike su nastale kao kolonijalni posjed Španjolske i Portugala, zbog čega od početka svoga postojanja imaju jedan opasni političko-društveni defekt. Naime, njihova društvena struktura je u prošlosti počivala na nemilosrdnom kolonijalnom iskorištavanju zemlje i ljudi koji su bili robovi ili podređene sluge režima bez prava glasa. A premda su zemlje Latinske Amerike danas nominalno demokratske, stare kolonijalne elite i dalje imaju vrlo veliku moć i vješto manipuliraju političkim sustavom kako bi sačuvali svoju vlast i svoj utjecaj.

Ovaj povijesni defekt je nedavno isplivao na površinu u Peruu, gdje seljački slojevi zemlje bivšeg predsjednika Castilla – usprkos tome što su on i njegova obitelj umiješani u korupciju – smatraju svojim čovjekom koji štiti njihove interese od povlaštene elite u glavnom gradu Limi. Slično je i u ostalim latinoameričkim zemljama koje tijekom svoje dvostoljetne povijesti nisu uživale dobrobiti stabilnog demokratskog sustava koji omogućava postupan društveni razvoj i građanski prosperitet.

Kako stvari danas stoje, ovaj začarani krug ponavljat će se i ubuduće te će politika i kriminal i dalje biti čvrsto uvezani.

Sebastián Marset na svojim fotografijama koje dijeli na društvenim mrežama izgleda kao simpatični mladi čovjek od 32 godine koji putuje svijetom i uživa u životu. No, to je samo varka jer iza te slike se krije opasni vođa narkokartela kojeg, za sada bezuspješno, love policijski specijalci u Južnoj Americi i u SAD-u.

U pozadini ove priče je društveni nered, siromaštvo i nestabilnost južnoameričkih država. Kako u svojoj globalnoj ediciji izvješćuje prestižni španjolski dnevnik El Pais, naizgled simpatični Marset je u svome rodnom Urugvaju vrlo opasan i utjecajan mafijaški šef koji ima tajne veze ne samo s političarima u domovini, nego i u Boliviji, Paragvaju i Kolumbiji. Vjeruje se da su mu ta moć i taj utjecaj omogućili da ubije urugvajskog javnog istražitelja i borca protiv ma...
