Na prošlim, redovnim lokalnim izborima, HDZ-ov kandidat za gradonačelnika Vice Mihanović nasmijao nas je glupim sloganom “Vicegradonačelnik” i bili smo uvjereni da će nakon toga vladajuća stranka biti opreznija, da će dvaput i triput razmisliti što će štampati u formatu jumbo plakata u velikom broju primjeraka. Ali, ne, momcima i djevojkama očito ne ide. Nema im pomoći. Za nove, izvanredne izbore isturili su liječnika, doktora znanosti Zorana Đogaša i čitav grad oblijepili njegovim licem s porukom: “Split prvi. I jedini.”

Ovo na prvu zvuči super. Zvuči rezolutno, isključivo, na život ili smrt, na sve ili ništa, upravo kako Splićani vole. Nažalost, nema previše smisla. Jer, vidite, kad je nešto jedino, ono ne može biti drugo, treće ili četvrto. Jedino može biti samo prvo i to nije ni za kakvu pohvalu. Zamislite kako bi izgledalo da se dječak vrati iz škole i ponosno reče ocu:

Nagomilani problemi

”Danas sam na tjelesnom bio prvi.”

”Ajme, krasno, sine, a koliko vas se natjecalo?”

”Ja, tata, jedini.”

”Pa, bravo, ljubavi”, uzdahne otac sažaljivo.

Jednako nas osjećanje ispuni kad se nađemo pred Đogaševim plakatom. Očekivali bismo da je kandidat svladao osnove materinjeg jezika i u glavi ima tek prstohvat logike da shvati kako mu u predizbornom sloganu jedna riječ radi protiv druge, kako prilog “jedini” totalno obezvređuje redni broj “prvi”, ali to je valjda prirodno među hadezeovcima s doktoratom znanosti.

Tko bi povjerovao da takav netko može riješiti ijedan od nagomilanih gradskih problem. Na primjer, više od pet stotina djece nedavno je ostalo neupisano u splitske vrtiće. Više od hiljadu roditelja ovih je dana ogorčeno. Oni vrijeđaju nadležne i psuju aplikaciju za upis. Uvjereni da im je učinjena do neba vapijuća nepravda, pokazuju svoje kćeri i sinove, šokirani da su sve predškolske ustanove u gradu odbile takve mile, dobre i bistre mališane. Po kojim su mjerilima to učinili?

Mjerila su zaista fluidna. Ne možete baš odbiti dijete zbog nepotpune natječajne dokumentacije, kazati kako trogodišnjak nije priložio potvrdu o nekažnjavanju, poznavanju dva strana jezika ili dozvolu za upravljanje vozilima B kategorije. Sve su to danas uzorna djeca, od oca i matere katoličke vjere, netom po rođenju uredno cijepljena protiv zaraznih bolesti, krštena u župnoj crkvi i upisana u Hajduk. Nalikuju kao jaje jajetu i nema nikakvog objašnjenja zašto su jedni iznad, a drugi ispod crte.

Trebalo je možda ovdje posegnuti za izlučnim postupkom kakvim je Ministarstvo gospodarstva nedavno razdijelilo 338 milijuna poticaja za EU projekte. To je jedino što se meni čini pravedno – najbrži prst. I da se kandidati sami, bez pomoći odraslih, bore svaki za svoje mjesto u vrtiću. Staviti nekog trogodišnjeg, na primjer, Duju pred kompjuter i uputiti ga da u određenom trenutku počne mahnito pritiskati “enter”.

Ekleri i Cedevita

Jedna bi Dujina baka dječaku prethodno napravila njegove omiljene eklere, druga mu, “da se dite pokripi”, zamutila Cedevitu. Oba bi djeda navijali u majicama s Dujinom slikom, a tata i mama pozorno motrili digitalni sat u rubu ekrana. “Sad!” dreknuo bi tata, a Duje uzeo ručicom poslušno udarati po tipki. No, prije nego bi dvaput pristisnuo, prije nego bi jedan djed zavrtio čegrtaljku, a drugi zapalio narančastu bengalku i zavikao: “Ale, ale!”, došla bi obavijest da je natječaj već zatvoren. Duje, naravno, nije upao. Jedna bi baka smjesta odmaknula tanjur s eklerima ispred njega, druga mu oduzela Cedevitu. Tako bi bili bijesni na gubitnika da ga nijedan djed više ne bi htio čuvati.

Takav teški poraz u nježnoj dobi može vas za cijeli život obilježiti. Da se nikad od njega ne oporavite. Sve vam kasnije krene ukrivo. Pijanci ispred dućana, uvjeren sam, u velikoj su mjeri prokletnici koji s tri godine nesretnim slučajem nisu upali u vrtić. Vidjet ćete ih kako piju kod ulaza i od vremena do vremena prazne mjehure iza nekog kontejnera, stabla ili zida od plastičnih gajbi.

Slobodna Dalmacija zgražava se kako turisti mokre po ulicama, kao da nikad nije vidjela što se događa pred gotovo svakim splitskim dućanom. Da je pregledati nadzorne kamere, opazili bi kako domaći svijet, muškarci, po prilici, između trideset pet i sedamdeset, svakodnevno ostave čitave cisterne mokraće u improviziranim zahodima ispred naših Tommyja, Ribola i Studenaca, a da puste i ton, čuli bi vjerojatno nekakav ovakav razgovor:

”Glupani”, reče uvrijeđeno jedan pijanac lagano se ljuljajući, “nisu me primili u Pčelicu”.

”A mene su odbili u Cvit Mediterana”, reče drugi prskajući po gajbama. “Nikad in to neću oprostit.”

Na prošlim, redovnim lokalnim izborima, HDZ-ov kandidat za gradonačelnika Vice Mihanović nasmijao nas je glupim sloganom “Vicegradonačelnik” i bili smo uvjereni da će nakon toga vladajuća stranka biti opreznija, da će dvaput i triput razmisliti što će štampati u formatu jumbo plakata u velikom broju primjeraka. Ali, ne, momcima i djevojkama očito ne ide. Nema im pomoći. Za nove, izvanredne izbore isturili su liječnika, doktora znanosti Zorana Đogaša i čitav grad oblijepili njegovim licem s porukom: “Split prvi. I jedini.”

Ovo na prvu zvuči super. Zvuči rezolutno, isključivo, na život ili smrt, na sve ili ništa, upravo kako Splićani vole. Nažalost, nema previše smisla. Jer, vidite, kad je nešto jedino, ono ne može biti drugo, treće ili četvrto. Jedino može biti samo prvo i to nije ni za kakvu pohvalu. Zamislite kako bi izgledalo da se dječak vrati iz škole i ponosno reče ocu:

Nagomilani problemi

”Danas sam na tjelesnom bio prvi.”

”Ajme, krasno, sine, a koliko vas se natjecalo?”

”Ja, tata, jedini.”

”Pa, bravo, ljubavi”, uzdahne otac sažaljivo.

Jednako nas osjećanje ispuni kad se nađemo pred Đogaševim plakatom. Očekivali bismo da je kandidat svladao osnove materinjeg jezika i u glavi ima tek prstohvat logike da shvati kako mu u predizbornom sloganu jedna riječ radi protiv druge, kako prilog “jedini” totalno obezvređuje redni broj “prvi”, ali to je valjda prirodno među hadezeovcima s doktoratom znanosti.

Tko bi povjerovao da takav netko može riješiti ijedan od nagomilanih gradskih problem. Na primjer, više od pet stotina djece nedavno je ostalo neupisano u splitske vrtiće. Više od hiljadu roditelja ovih je dana ogorčeno. Oni vrijeđaju nadležne i psuju aplikaciju za upis. Uvjereni da im je učinjena do neba vapijuća nepravda, pokazuju svoje kćeri i sinove, šokirani da su sve predškolske ustanove u gradu odbile takve mile, dobre i bistre mališane. Po kojim su mjerilima to učinili?

Mjerila su zaista fluidna. Ne možete baš odbiti dijete zbog nepotpune natječajne dokumentacije, kazati kako trogodišnjak nije priložio potvrdu o nekažnjavanju, poznavanju dva strana jezika ili dozvolu za upravljanje vozilima B kategorije. Sve su to danas uzorna djeca, od oca i matere katoličke vjere, netom po rođenju uredno cijepljena protiv zaraznih bolesti, krštena u župnoj crkvi i upisana u Hajduk. Nalikuju kao jaje jajetu i nema nikakvog objašnjenja zašto su jedni iznad, a drugi ispod crte.

Trebalo je možda ovdje posegnuti za izlučnim postupkom kakvim je Ministarstvo gospodarstva nedavno razdijelilo 338 milijuna poticaja za EU projekte. To je jedino što se meni čini pravedno – najbrži prst. I da se kandidati sami, bez pomoći odraslih, bore svaki za svoje mjesto u vrtiću. Staviti nekog trogodišnjeg, na primjer, Duju pred kompjuter i uputiti ga da u određenom trenutku počne mahnito pritiskati “enter”.

Ekleri i Cedevita

Jedna bi Dujina baka dječaku prethodno napravila njegove omiljene eklere, druga mu, “da se dite pokripi”, zamutila Cedevitu. Oba bi djeda navijali u majicama s Dujinom slikom, a tata i mama pozorno motrili digitalni sat u rubu ekrana. “Sad!” dreknuo bi tata, a Duje uzeo ručicom poslušno udarati po tipki. No, prije nego bi dvaput pristisnuo, prije nego bi jedan djed zavrtio čegrtaljku, a drugi zapalio narančastu bengalku i zavikao: “Ale, ale!”, došla bi obavijest da je natječaj već zatvoren. Duje, naravno, nije upao. Jedna bi baka smjesta odmaknula tanjur s eklerima ispred njega, druga mu oduzela Cedevitu. Tako bi bili bijesni na gubitnika da ga nijedan djed više ne bi htio čuvati.

Takav teški poraz u nježnoj dobi može vas za cijeli život obilježiti. Da se nikad od njega ne oporavite. Sve vam kasnije krene ukrivo. Pijanci ispred dućana, uvjeren sam, u velikoj su mjeri prokletnici koji s tri godine nesretnim slučajem nisu upali u vrtić. Vidjet ćete ih kako piju kod ulaza i od vremena do vremena prazne mjehure iza nekog kontejnera, stabla ili zida od plastičnih gajbi.

Slobodna Dalmacija zgražava se kako turisti mokre po ulicama, kao da nikad nije vidjela što se događa pred gotovo svakim splitskim dućanom. Da je pregledati nadzorne kamere, opazili bi kako domaći svijet, muškarci, po prilici, između trideset pet i sedamdeset, svakodnevno ostave čitave cisterne mokraće u improviziranim zahodima ispred naših Tommyja, Ribola i Studenaca, a da puste i ton, čuli bi vjerojatno nekakav ovakav razgovor:

”Glupani”, reče uvrijeđeno jedan pijanac lagano se ljuljajući, “nisu me primili u Pčelicu”.

”A mene su odbili u Cvit Mediterana”, reče drugi prskajući po gajbama. “Nikad in to neću oprostit.”
