Mjesec ponosa, lipanj, ostaje u Hrvatskoj zasad uglavnom zakinut za LGTB povorke zbog epidemioloških mjera, ali nisu sve aktivnosti prestale.

Na splitskoj Metjuški je, primjerice, najavljeno podizanje zastave duginih boja sredinom lipnja. Zastave koju je 11. lipnja za hrvatske "prideovce" simbolično podigla i premijera druge sezone Huluove serije "Love, Victor".

Serija je nastala kao "spin-off" superiornijeg filma "Love, Simon" ili "S ljubavlju, Simon" koji se, zanimljivo, pojavio u hrvatskoj kinodistribuciji u ovo doba 2018., tjedan dana prije ondašnjeg Pridea.

"S ljubavlju, Simon" bio je prijeloman "teen movie", prvi koji je za glavnog (ne sporednog) lika imao gay mladića i kronicirao tinejdžerske probleme iz njegove perspektive kao nekoga tko se nećka bi li "izišao iz ormara".

Tako postavljen, nije čudno da je film inspirirao ovu seriju, tinejdžersku dramediju fokusiranu na Victora (Michael Cimino) umjesto Simona (Nick Robinson), koja je odlučila kapitalizirati na odličnoj postavci prethodnika.

I u drugoj sezoni "Love, Victor" nije redateljsko-scenaristički zaigran i kreativan kao "Love, Simon", na način da bi bio serijski ekvivalent tinejdžerskog LGTB filma Johna Hughesa u stilu "Slobodnog dana Ferrisa Buellera", s obraćanjima glavnog lika gledateljima i tome slično.

No, serija je od filma naslijedila razumijevanje prema tinejdžerima, njihovim "coming outima" i objavljivanjima nečeg intimnog svijetu (zaljubljenost u nekoga itd.) neovisno o spolnoj orijentaciji. Mia Brooks (Rachel Hilson), Victorova bivša djevojka, kao lik govori u to ime.

Naravno, u prvom planu je Victor koji je Simonu (uglavnom izvan kadra) prilikom dopisivanja napisao "J... se, moja priča nije kao tvoja".

Victor je, u političko-korektne i karakterno-kompleksnije svrhe, Amerikanac portorikanskog i kolumbijskog podrijetla kojemu je teže napraviti "coming out" u tradicionalno-religioznoj familiji.

Druga sezona se nastavlja nakon otvorenog kraja prve, kad je Victor, dobivši priliku da bude tko želi i otkrivši tko je zapravo ("sviđaju mi se tipovi"), imao "nešto za reći" roditeljima/sestri i to na koncu i rekao – "ja sam gay".

"Love, Victor 2" prikazuje život tinejdžera nakon "coming outa" i njegov odnos s dečkom Benjijem (George Sear), ali i roditeljima (James Martinez, Ana Ortiz).

"Romeo i Romeo", nazove ih jedan prijatelj i nije daleko od istine. Njihova ljubav je "zabranjena" i moraju je skrivati ispred Victorove religiozne majke koja joj se protivi i ostat će šokirana kad uhvati polunage mladiće u seksualnom klinču u sinovoj sobi.

Ovaj put se "Love, Victor" ne libi biti seksualno otvoreniji, premda ne odlazi daleko u eksplicitnost da bi postao nova "Euphoria". Jednako tako, a možda baš zbog toga, glumci su više srasli s likovima i postali malčice opušteniji u svojim ulogama, čak nekoć ukočeni(ji) Cimino i Sear, a deset polusatnih epizoda brzo prolete.

S "Love, Victor 2" Hulu je dobio "teen" seriju koja pokazuje da može održati solidnu kakvoću iz sezone u sezonu i nositi se sa sličnom streaming konkurencijom.

Mjesec ponosa, lipanj, ostaje u Hrvatskoj zasad uglavnom zakinut za LGTB povorke zbog epidemioloških mjera, ali nisu sve aktivnosti prestale.

Na splitskoj Metjuški je, primjerice, najavljeno podizanje zastave duginih boja sredinom lipnja. Zastave koju je 11. lipnja za hrvatske "prideovce" simbolično podigla i premijera druge sezone Huluove serije "Love, Victor".

Serija je nastala kao "spin-off" superiornijeg filma "Love, Simon" ili "S ljubavlju, Simon" koji se, zanimljivo, pojavio u hrvatskoj kinodistribuciji u ovo doba 2018., tjedan dana prije ondašnjeg Pridea.

"S ljubavlju, Simon" bio je prijeloman "teen movie", prvi koji je za glavnog (ne sporednog) lika imao gay mladića i kronicirao tinejdžerske probleme iz njegove perspektive kao nekoga tko se nećka bi li "izišao iz ormara".

Tako postavljen, nije čudno da je film inspirirao ovu seriju, tinejdžersku dramediju fokusiranu na Victora (Michael Cimino) umjesto Simona (Nick Robinson), koja je odlučila kapitalizirati na odličnoj postavci prethodnika.

I u drugoj sezoni "Love, Victor" nije redateljsko-scenaristički zaigran i kreativan kao "Love, Simon", na način da bi bio serijski ekvivalent tinejdžerskog LGTB filma Johna Hughesa u stilu "Slobodnog dana Ferrisa Buellera", s obraćanjima glavnog lika gledateljima i tome slično.

No, serija je od filma naslijedila razumijevanje prema tinejdžerima, njihovim "coming outima" i objavljivanjima nečeg intimnog svijetu (zaljubljenost u nekoga itd.) neovisno o spolnoj orijentaciji. Mia Brooks (Rachel Hilson), Victorova bivša djevojka, kao lik govori u to ime.

Naravno, u prvom planu je Victor koji je Simonu (uglavnom izvan kadra) prilikom dopisivanja napisao "J... se, moja priča nije kao tvoja".

Victor je, u političko-korektne i karakterno-kompleksnije svrhe, Amerikanac portorikanskog i kolumbijskog podrijetla kojemu je teže napraviti "coming out" u tradicionalno-religioznoj familiji.

Druga sezona se nastavlja nakon otvorenog kraja prve, kad je Victor, dobivši priliku da bude tko želi i otkrivši tko je zapravo ("sviđaju mi se tipovi"), imao "nešto za reći" roditeljima/sestri i to na koncu i rekao – "ja sam gay".

"Love, Victor 2" prikazuje život tinejdžera nakon "coming outa" i njegov odnos s dečkom Benjijem (George Sear), ali i roditeljima (James Martinez, Ana Ortiz).

"Romeo i Romeo", nazove ih jedan prijatelj i nije daleko od istine. Njihova ljubav je "zabranjena" i moraju je skrivati ispred Victorove religiozne majke koja joj se protivi i ostat će šokirana kad uhvati polunage mladiće u seksualnom klinču u sinovoj sobi.

Ovaj put se "Love, Victor" ne libi biti seksualno otvoreniji, premda ne odlazi daleko u eksplicitnost da bi postao nova "Euphoria". Jednako tako, a možda baš zbog toga, glumci su više srasli s likovima i postali malčice opušteniji u svojim ulogama, čak nekoć ukočeni(ji) Cimino i Sear, a deset polusatnih epizoda brzo prolete.

S "Love, Victor 2" Hulu je dobio "teen" seriju koja pokazuje da može održati solidnu kakvoću iz sezone u sezonu i nositi se sa sličnom streaming konkurencijom.
