Alex u "Sluškinji" planira upisati fakultet, srećom onaj u Montani, a ne sveučilište iz Netflixove "Pročelnice". Jer, fakultet će u humorno-dramskoj seriji "The Chair" postati poprište društveno-političke gungule kakvu Alex ne treba pored svega što je prošla u "Maid".

A i Alex kao studentica ne bi bila u prvom planu. Serija koju je ko-kreirala poznata glumica Amanda Peet ("Jack i Jill", "Ubojica mekog srca", "Identitet", "2012"), a producirali David Benioff i D.B. Weiss ("Igra prijestolja") najviše je fokusirana na titularnu pročelnicu.

Ona je prva nebijela žena na koledžu Pembroke, dr. Ji-Yoon Kim u tumačenju uvijek dobre Sandre Oh, zvijezde popularnog i precijenjenog "Ubijanja Eve".

Iako titula pročelnice Odsjeka za anglistiku podrazumijeva da je "glavna rospija koja šefuje vama pizdunima", Kim baš i nije takva, a nema ni vremena biti s obzirom da je samohrana majka sedmogodišnje kćerkice (Everly Carganilla) i ima silne brige oko sveučilišta koje vodi dekan Paul Larson (David Morse).

Broj upisanih pao za 30 posto, stariji profesori, kao što su Elliot Rentz i Joan Hambling (Bob Balaban, Holland Taylor), misle da ih istiskuju mladi, poput Yaz McKay (Nana Mensah)... "Kao da su mi dali tempiranu bombu", kaže Kim.

Najveća briga tiče se medijske i studentske hajke na "profesora Hitlera", Billa Dobsona (Jay Duplass), nakon što je u šali tijekom predavanja o fašizmu uputio "nazi" pozdrav, a netko je to sve snimio i video je, jasno, postao viralan.

U potrazi za njegovom zamjenom Kim će se obratiti i zvijezdi "Dosjea X" Davidu Duchovnyju (igra samoga sebe), i to nakon što je poziciju odbio James Franco. "Pročelnica" je odraz pročelnice, odnosno njezine prezaposlenosti.

Naime, serija puno toga želi reći u malo vremena i dotaknuti se motiva nebijele žene na visokoj poziciji rezerviranoj za bijelce i bjelkinje, a s druge strane i pretjerane političke korektnosti, tj. medijski potkovane "cancel" (ne)kulture.

Primjer za to je profesor koji je razapet i prijeti mu suspenzija zbog neslane šale izvučene iz konteksta te naslova "pročelnica zabranila istupanje studentici pripadnici etičke manjine".

Međutim, unatoč tome što ne uspijeva razviti sve teme, "The Chair" je prilično pametna i zabavna serija koja solidno balansira između komedije, satire, drame i romanse (Kim + Bill), a "malo vremena" joj istovremeno ide u prilog. Manje je često više kad je televizija u pitanju.

Ovo je jedna od najkraćih i najlepršavijih serija godine, lišena rastezanja zbog zadovoljavanja streaming norme, tako da vjerojatno nećete pogledavati na sat dok traje, čak i ako je "bindžate".

Epizoda je svega šest i trajanje ne prelazi 32 minute, što znači da "Pročelnica" traje skoro četiri sata manje od "Sluškinje" i, dodatne ilustracije radi, nekih 15 minuta više više od novog Bond-filma.

Ako vam je to malo, sagledajte seriju kao zagrijavanje za drugu sezonu do koje će vjerojatno doći, pa makar vršitelj pročelničke dužnosti bio netko drugi.

Alex u "Sluškinji" planira upisati fakultet, srećom onaj u Montani, a ne sveučilište iz Netflixove "Pročelnice". Jer, fakultet će u humorno-dramskoj seriji "The Chair" postati poprište društveno-političke gungule kakvu Alex ne treba pored svega što je prošla u "Maid".

A i Alex kao studentica ne bi bila u prvom planu. Serija koju je ko-kreirala poznata glumica Amanda Peet ("Jack i Jill", "Ubojica mekog srca", "Identitet", "2012"), a producirali David Benioff i D.B. Weiss ("Igra prijestolja") najviše je fokusirana na titularnu pročelnicu.

Ona je prva nebijela žena na koledžu Pembroke, dr. Ji-Yoon Kim u tumačenju uvijek dobre Sandre Oh, zvijezde popularnog i precijenjenog "Ubijanja Eve".

Iako titula pročelnice Odsjeka za anglistiku podrazumijeva da je "glavna rospija koja šefuje vama pizdunima", Kim baš i nije takva, a nema ni vremena biti s obzirom da je samohrana majka sedmogodišnje kćerkice (Everly Carganilla) i ima silne brige oko sveučilišta koje vodi dekan Paul Larson (David Morse).

Broj upisanih pao za 30 posto, stariji profesori, kao što su Elliot Rentz i Joan Hambling (Bob Balaban, Holland Taylor), misle da ih istiskuju mladi, poput Yaz McKay (Nana Mensah)... "Kao da su mi dali tempiranu bombu", kaže Kim.

Najveća briga tiče se medijske i studentske hajke na "profesora Hitlera", Billa Dobsona (Jay Duplass), nakon što je u šali tijekom predavanja o fašizmu uputio "nazi" pozdrav, a netko je to sve snimio i video je, jasno, postao viralan.

U potrazi za njegovom zamjenom Kim će se obratiti i zvijezdi "Dosjea X" Davidu Duchovnyju (igra samoga sebe), i to nakon što je poziciju odbio James Franco. "Pročelnica" je odraz pročelnice, odnosno njezine prezaposlenosti.

Naime, serija puno toga želi reći u malo vremena i dotaknuti se motiva nebijele žene na visokoj poziciji rezerviranoj za bijelce i bjelkinje, a s druge strane i pretjerane političke korektnosti, tj. medijski potkovane "cancel" (ne)kulture.

Primjer za to je profesor koji je razapet i prijeti mu suspenzija zbog neslane šale izvučene iz konteksta te naslova "pročelnica zabranila istupanje studentici pripadnici etičke manjine".

Međutim, unatoč tome što ne uspijeva razviti sve teme, "The Chair" je prilično pametna i zabavna serija koja solidno balansira između komedije, satire, drame i romanse (Kim + Bill), a "malo vremena" joj istovremeno ide u prilog. Manje je često više kad je televizija u pitanju.

Ovo je jedna od najkraćih i najlepršavijih serija godine, lišena rastezanja zbog zadovoljavanja streaming norme, tako da vjerojatno nećete pogledavati na sat dok traje, čak i ako je "bindžate".

Epizoda je svega šest i trajanje ne prelazi 32 minute, što znači da "Pročelnica" traje skoro četiri sata manje od "Sluškinje" i, dodatne ilustracije radi, nekih 15 minuta više više od novog Bond-filma.

Ako vam je to malo, sagledajte seriju kao zagrijavanje za drugu sezonu do koje će vjerojatno doći, pa makar vršitelj pročelničke dužnosti bio netko drugi.
