Nekoliko je stvari interesantno u vezi s novom serijom "Pozlaćeno doba" ("The Gilded Age") koja se upravo počela prikazivati utorkom na HBO-u. Za početak, šest od deset epizoda snimio je Vanja Černjul, poznati hrvatski direktor fotografije.

Černjul je snimao filmove Dalibora Matanića ("Majka asfalta", "Ćaća", "Majstori") i gradio međunarodnu karijeru na stranim produkcijama, od serija kao što su "Televizijska posla", "Narančasta je nova crna" i "Kronike Times Squarea" do filmova poput "Pizzerije Kamikaze" i "Suludo bogatih Azijaca".

Kao drugo, jednu od važnijih uloga u seriji igra Louisa Jacobson, kćerka trostruke oskarovke Meryl Streep, i to Marian Brook, nećakinju sestara Agnes van Rhijn i Ade Brook (Christine Baranski, Cynthia Nixon) koja nakon smrti oca, njihova brata, dolazi iz Pennsylvanije u New York, gdje će upoznati mladu tamnoputu ženu spisateljskih aspiracija Peggy Scott (Denée Benton).

I, konačno, "Pozlaćeno doba" je novi TV projekt Britanca Juliana Fellowesa, kreatora mnogima obožavane serije "Downton Abbey" i scenarista niza filmova ("Victoria: Život mlade kraljice", "Turist"), nagrađenog Oscarom za scenarij Altmanova "Gosford Parka".

Fellowes posljednjih godina nije stvorio nešto posebno značajno, osim što je solidno preselio "Downton Abbey" na veliki ekran, tako da se "The Guilded Age" očekivao s posebnim zanimanjem.

Sudeći po prvih pet epizoda, pogledanih unaprijed za ovaj tekst, Fellowes je prilično u elementu i "Pozlaćeno doba" s lakoćom nadmašuje recentne kostimirane serije poput "Velike", "Vrlo engleskog skandala" i, napose, "Bridgertona" koje su tipovale zauzeti prostor ispražnjen njegovom odsutnošću.

Kako će se serija nastaviti razvijati, treba vidjeti, ali zasad se razvija sasvim fino, djelujući scenografski, kostimografski i satirički kao "Downton Abbey" preseljen u industrijaliziranu Ameriku kasnog 19. stoljeća, točnije na početak 1880-ih.

Vrijeme radnje precizira upit "jesi li čula da su napucali Jesseja Jamesa?", dakle vraćeni smo u 1882., u tzv. Pozlaćeno doba, kada je u američkom društvu na snazi bilo klasno raslojavanje i produbljivao se jaz ne samo između imućnih i siromašnih, već i stare i nove elite imućnika koji su iskorištavali jeftinu radnu snagu i bogatili se na grbači malih ljudi.

Stare imućnike predstavljaju Agnes i Ada, a nove željeznički tajkun George Russell i njegova supruga Bertha (Morgan Spector, Carrie Coon) koja skreće pozornost na sebe odmah na početku kad nonšalantno kaže "Idem se presvući, želim izaći iz ovog korzeta".

Klasna dinamika pokreće i ovu seriju u kojoj Fellowes oštrije kritizira privilegiranu aristokraciju zainteresiran za uspostavljanje starog i novog, tradicije i modernog (ili modernijeg), bijelog i crnog društva, muškaraca i žena.

"The Gilded Age" je nešto manje lepršava serija od "Downton Abbeyja", ali i dalje "zabavna", iako ne zalazi preduboko na teren "trač partije", neovisno o rečenici "ne želim činjenice, samo tračanje", što joj je plus.

Kad smo kod rečenica, Fellowes je i dalje dovoljno nadahnut pa slušamo opaske tipa "Život je kao bankovni račun, ne možeš napisati ček prije nego uplatiš novce" ili kratka, ali efektna dijaloška dodavanja.

"Bit ćeš uzbuđena", Ada kaže Agnes. "Nisam bila uzbuđena od 1865. godine".

Nekoliko je stvari interesantno u vezi s novom serijom "Pozlaćeno doba" ("The Gilded Age") koja se upravo počela prikazivati utorkom na HBO-u. Za početak, šest od deset epizoda snimio je Vanja Černjul, poznati hrvatski direktor fotografije.

Černjul je snimao filmove Dalibora Matanića ("Majka asfalta", "Ćaća", "Majstori") i gradio međunarodnu karijeru na stranim produkcijama, od serija kao što su "Televizijska posla", "Narančasta je nova crna" i "Kronike Times Squarea" do filmova poput "Pizzerije Kamikaze" i "Suludo bogatih Azijaca".

Kao drugo, jednu od važnijih uloga u seriji igra Louisa Jacobson, kćerka trostruke oskarovke Meryl Streep, i to Marian Brook, nećakinju sestara Agnes van Rhijn i Ade Brook (Christine Baranski, Cynthia Nixon) koja nakon smrti oca, njihova brata, dolazi iz Pennsylvanije u New York, gdje će upoznati mladu tamnoputu ženu spisateljskih aspiracija Peggy Scott (Denée Benton).

I, konačno, "Pozlaćeno doba" je novi TV projekt Britanca Juliana Fellowesa, kreatora mnogima obožavane serije "Downton Abbey" i scenarista niza filmova ("Victoria: Život mlade kraljice", "Turist"), nagrađenog Oscarom za scenarij Altmanova "Gosford Parka".

Fellowes posljednjih godina nije stvorio nešto posebno značajno, osim što je solidno preselio "Downton Abbey" na veliki ekran, tako da se "The Guilded Age" očekivao s posebnim zanimanjem.

Sudeći po prvih pet epizoda, pogledanih unaprijed za ovaj tekst, Fellowes je prilično u elementu i "Pozlaćeno doba" s lakoćom nadmašuje recentne kostimirane serije poput "Velike", "Vrlo engleskog skandala" i, napose, "Bridgertona" koje su tipovale zauzeti prostor ispražnjen njegovom odsutnošću.

Kako će se serija nastaviti razvijati, treba vidjeti, ali zasad se razvija sasvim fino, djelujući scenografski, kostimografski i satirički kao "Downton Abbey" preseljen u industrijaliziranu Ameriku kasnog 19. stoljeća, točnije na početak 1880-ih.

Vrijeme radnje precizira upit "jesi li čula da su napucali Jesseja Jamesa?", dakle vraćeni smo u 1882., u tzv. Pozlaćeno doba, kada je u američkom društvu na snazi bilo klasno raslojavanje i produbljivao se jaz ne samo između imućnih i siromašnih, već i stare i nove elite imućnika koji su iskorištavali jeftinu radnu snagu i bogatili se na grbači malih ljudi.

Stare imućnike predstavljaju Agnes i Ada, a nove željeznički tajkun George Russell i njegova supruga Bertha (Morgan Spector, Carrie Coon) koja skreće pozornost na sebe odmah na početku kad nonšalantno kaže "Idem se presvući, želim izaći iz ovog korzeta".

Klasna dinamika pokreće i ovu seriju u kojoj Fellowes oštrije kritizira privilegiranu aristokraciju zainteresiran za uspostavljanje starog i novog, tradicije i modernog (ili modernijeg), bijelog i crnog društva, muškaraca i žena.

"The Gilded Age" je nešto manje lepršava serija od "Downton Abbeyja", ali i dalje "zabavna", iako ne zalazi preduboko na teren "trač partije", neovisno o rečenici "ne želim činjenice, samo tračanje", što joj je plus.

Kad smo kod rečenica, Fellowes je i dalje dovoljno nadahnut pa slušamo opaske tipa "Život je kao bankovni račun, ne možeš napisati ček prije nego uplatiš novce" ili kratka, ali efektna dijaloška dodavanja.

"Bit ćeš uzbuđena", Ada kaže Agnes. "Nisam bila uzbuđena od 1865. godine".

‘Downton Abbey‘ iz Amerike: povratnički TV projekt Juliana Fellowesa s lakoćom nadmašuje recentne kostimirane serije poput ‘Velike‘ i ‘Bridgertona‘

Nekoliko je stvari interesantno u vezi s novom serijom "Pozlaćeno doba" ("The Gilded Age") koja se upravo počela prikazivati utorkom na HBO-u. Za početak, šest od deset epizoda snimio je Vanja Černjul, poznati hrvatski direktor fotografije.

Černjul je snimao filmove Dalibora Matanića ("Majka asfalta", "Ćaća", "Majstori") i gradio međunarodnu karijeru na stranim produkcijama, od serija kao što su "Televizijska posla", "Narančasta je nova crna" i "Kronike Times Squarea" do filmova poput "Pizzerije Kamikaze" i "Suludo bogatih Azijaca".

Kao drugo, jednu od važnijih uloga u seriji igra Louisa Jacobson, kćerka trostruke oskarovke Meryl Streep, i to Marian Brook, nećakinju sestara Agnes van Rhijn i Ade Brook (Christine Baranski, Cynthia Nixon) koja nakon smrti oca, njihova brata, dolazi iz Pennsylvanije u New York, gdje će upoznati mladu tamnoputu ženu spisateljskih aspiracija Peggy Scott (Denée Benton).

I, konačno, "Pozlaćeno doba" je novi TV projekt Britanca Juliana Fellowesa, kreatora mnogima obožavane serije "Downton Abbey" i scenarista niza filmova ("Victoria: Život mlade kraljice", "Turist"), nagrađenog Oscarom za scenarij Altmanova "Gosford Parka".

Fellowes posljednjih godina nije stvorio nešto posebno značajno, osim što je solidno preselio "Downton Abbey" na veliki ekran, tako da se "The Guilded Age" očekivao s posebnim zanimanjem.

Sudeći po prvih pet epizoda, pogledanih unaprijed za ovaj tekst, Fellowes je prilično u elementu i "Pozlaćeno doba" s lakoćom nadmašuje recentne kostimirane serije poput "Velike", "Vrlo engleskog skandala" i, napose, "Bridgertona" koje su tipovale zauzeti prostor ispražnjen njegovom odsutnošću.

Kako će se serija nastaviti razvijati, treba vidjeti, ali zasad se razvija sasvim fino, djelujući scenografski, kostimografski i satirički kao "Downton Abbey" preseljen u industrijaliziranu Ameriku kasnog 19. stoljeća, točnije na početak 1880-ih.

Vrijeme radnje precizira upit "jesi li čula da su napucali Jesseja Jamesa?", dakle vraćeni smo u 1882., u tzv. Pozlaćeno doba, kada je u američkom društvu na snazi bilo klasno raslojavanje i produbljivao se jaz ne samo između imućnih i siromašnih, već i stare i nove elite imućnika koji su iskorištavali jeftinu radnu snagu i bogatili se na grbači malih ljudi.

Stare imućnike predstavljaju Agnes i Ada, a nove željeznički tajkun George Russell i njegova supruga Bertha (Morgan Spector, Carrie Coon) koja skreće pozornost na sebe odmah na početku kad nonšalantno kaže "Idem se presvući, želim izaći iz ovog korzeta".

Klasna dinamika pokreće i ovu seriju u kojoj Fellowes oštrije kritizira privilegiranu aristokraciju zainteresiran za uspostavljanje starog i novog, tradicije i modernog (ili modernijeg), bijelog i crnog društva, muškaraca i žena.

"The Gilded Age" je nešto manje lepršava serija od "Downton Abbeyja", ali i dalje "zabavna", iako ne zalazi preduboko na teren "trač partije", neovisno o rečenici "ne želim činjenice, samo tračanje", što joj je plus.

Kad smo kod rečenica, Fellowes je i dalje dovoljno nadahnut pa slušamo opaske tipa "Život je kao bankovni račun, ne možeš napisati ček prije nego uplatiš novce" ili kratka, ali efektna dijaloška dodavanja.

"Bit ćeš uzbuđena", Ada kaže Agnes. "Nisam bila uzbuđena od 1865. godine".
