Bridgerton, novu Netflixovu seriju u čijem su središtu ljubavni odnosi, nije nimalo neprikladno opisati alegorijom vezanom upravo uz takve veze. Tvrdim to odgovorno, nakon što sam odgledala svih osam epizoda prve sezone, jer svoj vam dojam najplastičnije mogu opisati kao sjećanje na simpatiju iz osnovne škole: jasno ti je da mu je priča šuplja, zbog tisuću ti razloga ide na živce, ali ipak, kad ga vidiš kako prolazi školskim hodnikom, nekako ne možeš skrenuti pogled...
A Bridgertonu je priča poprilično šuplja, tisuću puta ispričana, k tome u ovoj verziji i manjkava zbog niza propusta, jer, unatoč visokoj produkciji i književnom predlošku, američka ekipa koja je radila seriju - znate ih, sto posto, ako ste gledali Uvod u anatomiju, to su Chris Van Dusen i Shonda Rhimes - već je za Bridgerton zaradila niz kritika zbog nedovoljnog poznavanja britanskog prava i običaja, ali jezika kojim se govorilo u prvim desetljećima 1800- tih.

No kako nisam ekspert ni za jedno od navedenog, meni su ipak najviše na živce išli klišeji i predrasude koji se provlače serijom koja bi htjela biti revolucionarna - tako barem tumačim vrlo inkluzivan kasting (čak i ako ste vidjeli samo najavne fotografije, moralo vam je upasti u oko da je fatalni vojvoda od Hastingsa tamnoput, a tamnoputa je bar četvrtina pripadnika najvišeg londonskog društva te, na čelu s njima i sama britanska kraljica).
Poput kakve drugorazredne bajke, Bridgerton je pun ljubomornih ružnijih sestara/prijateljica, dominantnih, ambicioznih majki koje žele bogato udati svoje kćeri, dosadnih, krezubih staraca u potrazi za mladom suprugom koja bi im mogla osigurati nasljednika i zanesenih djeva koje maštaju o idealiziranoj ljubavi, a nije izostao čak ni zalutali princ u potrazi za idealnom nevjestom. Sva ta sila čežnji, težnji i potencijalnih mladenki može se mjeriti jedino s meksičkim sapunicama.

Eto sad kad sam vam otkrila što mi se nije svidjelo, morat ću priznati i zbog čega nisam mogla skrenuti pogled. I to nije bila povuci-potegni romansa između glavnih likova (najstarije kćeri obitelji Bridgerton i spomenutog vojvode), niti neizvjesna sudbina zgođušne i trudne Marine ili pak strastvena zabranjena afera najstarijeg Bridgertona.
Intrigiralo me tko je misteriozna Lady Whistledown koja piše bespoštedne pamflete s pikanterijama iz visokog društva te tako komplicira život svim protagonistima ove priče. Nažalost, moram priznati da sam joj identitet pogodila puno prije dramatičnog razotkrivanja u posljednjem kadru (ne smatram to osobitom postignućem, poprilično je očito), no do tada sam se, silom inercije, već sasvim navukla na svaku od gore spomenutih sapunica.

A Bridgertonu je priča poprilično šuplja, tisuću puta ispričana, k tome u ovoj verziji i manjkava zbog niza propusta, jer, unatoč visokoj produkciji i književnom predlošku, američka ekipa koja je radila seriju - znate ih, sto posto, ako ste gledali Uvod u anatomiju, to su Chris Van Dusen i Shonda Rhimes - već je za Bridgerton zaradila niz kritika zbog nedovoljnog poznavanja britanskog prava i običaja, ali jezika kojim se govorilo u prvim desetljećima 1800- tih.

No kako nisam ekspert ni za jedno od navedenog, meni su ipak najviše na živce išli klišeji i predrasude koji se provlače serijom koja bi htjela biti revolucionarna - tako barem tumačim vrlo inkluzivan kasting (čak i ako ste vidjeli samo najavne fotografije, moralo vam je upasti u oko da je fatalni vojvoda od Hastingsa tamnoput, a tamnoputa je bar četvrtina pripadnika najvišeg londonskog društva te, na čelu s njima i sama britanska kraljica).
Poput kakve drugorazredne bajke, Bridgerton je pun ljubomornih ružnijih sestara/prijateljica, dominantnih, ambicioznih majki koje žele bogato udati svoje kćeri, dosadnih, krezubih staraca u potrazi za mladom suprugom koja bi im mogla osigurati nasljednika i zanesenih djeva koje maštaju o idealiziranoj ljubavi, a nije izostao čak ni zalutali princ u potrazi za idealnom nevjestom. Sva ta sila čežnji, težnji i potencijalnih mladenki može se mjeriti jedino s meksičkim sapunicama.

Eto sad kad sam vam otkrila što mi se nije svidjelo, morat ću priznati i zbog čega nisam mogla skrenuti pogled. I to nije bila povuci-potegni romansa između glavnih likova (najstarije kćeri obitelji Bridgerton i spomenutog vojvode), niti neizvjesna sudbina zgođušne i trudne Marine ili pak strastvena zabranjena afera najstarijeg Bridgertona.
Intrigiralo me tko je misteriozna Lady Whistledown koja piše bespoštedne pamflete s pikanterijama iz visokog društva te tako komplicira život svim protagonistima ove priče. Nažalost, moram priznati da sam joj identitet pogodila puno prije dramatičnog razotkrivanja u posljednjem kadru (ne smatram to osobitom postignućem, poprilično je očito), no do tada sam se, silom inercije, već sasvim navukla na svaku od gore spomenutih sapunica.

Pitate li me isplati li se gledati, odgovor je ipak potvrdan i kladim se da ćete Bridgerton, baš kao i ja, pogledati do kraja, pa makar vas tu i tamo propisno iznervirao.
