Istovremeno kad je na HBO Maxu krenula serijska verzija "Žene vremenskog putnika", proteklog vikenda, Netflix je pustio televizijsku inačicu "Odvjetnika iz Lincolna" ko-kreatora Davida E. Kelleyja ("Male laži", "Slom", "Devet potpunih neznanaca").

"The Lincoln Lawyer" je, kao i "The Time Traveller's Wife", najprije bio film, snimljen prema romanu, a sad je postao serija. U oba slučaja film je bolji, pri čemu je razlika između filmskog i serijskog "Odvjetnika iz Lincolna" znatno veća.

Kod nas preveden kao "Cijena istine", "The Lincoln Lawyer" iz 2011. bio je vrlo dobar "grishamovski" odvjetnički triler, iako se radilo o ekranizaciji romana Michaela Connellyja, a ne Johna Grishama.

Ulašten poput limuzine marke Lincoln, u kojoj se vozi titularni odvjetnik Mickey Haller, a opet dovoljno "gritty" da uz odvjetničko-sudski dramski triler može proći i kao moderni "noir", film je navijestio veliki potencijal redatelja Brada Furmana, kasnije tek dijelom iskorišten ("Infiltrator", "Grad laži").

Navijestio je i karijerni preporod glumca Matthewa McConaugheyja koji je razbio začarani krug romantičnih komedija ("Nije zlato sve što sja", "Sve moje bivše") i potom odigrao sjajne uloge u filmovima "Ubojiti Joe", "Vuk s Wall Streeta", "Mud", "Interstellar", "Zlato"...

Novi glumac u ulozi Hallera, solidni Manuel Garcia-Rulfo ("Sedmorica veličanstvenih", "Sicario 2"), daje sve od sebe i nastoji ne oponašati McConaugheyja u čije je prevelike cipele uskočio, već igrati lik na svoj način, ali protiv njega radi dosta toga. Za početak – satnica, ne odvjetnička, nego serijska.

"Odvjetnik iz Lincolna" ima deset epizoda u prosječnom trajanju od 45-50 minuta, što je ukupno nekih sedam i pol sati unutar kojih se može smjestiti prethodni McConaugheyjev film u paketu s dvije duže filmske ekranizacije Grishama ("Vrijeme ubijanja", "Tvrtka").

Svaki od ovih navedenih filmova nemjerljivo je superiorniji seriji koja je gledljiva i iskoristljiva za ubijanje vremena ("a time to kill"), ali i prilično generička, ničim se posebno ne izdvajajući iznad prosjeka, osim glavnom ulogom glumca koji je uletio kao zamjena za provopredviđena Logana Marshall-Greena ("The Invitation", "Upgrade").

Garcia-Rulfo je bolji iz epizode u epizodu i sve više mu leži uloga odvjetnika koji je poznat po tome da je radio iz automobila, njegovog pokretnog ureda, vozeći se sa suda na sud.

Nakon što je odvjetnik Jerry Vincent stradao, točnije bio ustrijeljen u autu, Hellera sutkinja (Lisa Gay Hamilton) obavještava o prijenosu odvjetničkog ureda kolege na njega.

Sve Vincentovo je sada Hellerovo, uključujući opasnost da on sam bude smaknut i medijski eksponirani slučaj Trevora Elliotta (Christopher Gorham), optuženog da je ubio ženu i ljubavnika.

Hellera čeka "najveće suđenje u karijeri" nedugo nakon što se vratio poslu otkako se riješio ovisnosti o anelgeticima i mora se opet dokazati, ali i srediti privatni život koji uključuje ne jednu bivšu ženu (Becki Newton), nego dvije (drugu glumi Neve Campbell poslije "comebacka" u kinohitu "Vrisak 5"). Za ovo potonje odvjetnička serija djeluje čak i zainteresiranija. Heller je i bivši supružnik iz Lincolna, ne samo odvjetnik.

Istovremeno kad je na HBO Maxu krenula serijska verzija "Žene vremenskog putnika", proteklog vikenda, Netflix je pustio televizijsku inačicu "Odvjetnika iz Lincolna" ko-kreatora Davida E. Kelleyja ("Male laži", "Slom", "Devet potpunih neznanaca").

"The Lincoln Lawyer" je, kao i "The Time Traveller's Wife", najprije bio film, snimljen prema romanu, a sad je postao serija. U oba slučaja film je bolji, pri čemu je razlika između filmskog i serijskog "Odvjetnika iz Lincolna" znatno veća.

Kod nas preveden kao "Cijena istine", "The Lincoln Lawyer" iz 2011. bio je vrlo dobar "grishamovski" odvjetnički triler, iako se radilo o ekranizaciji romana Michaela Connellyja, a ne Johna Grishama.

Ulašten poput limuzine marke Lincoln, u kojoj se vozi titularni odvjetnik Mickey Haller, a opet dovoljno "gritty" da uz odvjetničko-sudski dramski triler može proći i kao moderni "noir", film je navijestio veliki potencijal redatelja Brada Furmana, kasnije tek dijelom iskorišten ("Infiltrator", "Grad laži").

Navijestio je i karijerni preporod glumca Matthewa McConaugheyja koji je razbio začarani krug romantičnih komedija ("Nije zlato sve što sja", "Sve moje bivše") i potom odigrao sjajne uloge u filmovima "Ubojiti Joe", "Vuk s Wall Streeta", "Mud", "Interstellar", "Zlato"...

Novi glumac u ulozi Hallera, solidni Manuel Garcia-Rulfo ("Sedmorica veličanstvenih", "Sicario 2"), daje sve od sebe i nastoji ne oponašati McConaugheyja u čije je prevelike cipele uskočio, već igrati lik na svoj način, ali protiv njega radi dosta toga. Za početak – satnica, ne odvjetnička, nego serijska.

"Odvjetnik iz Lincolna" ima deset epizoda u prosječnom trajanju od 45-50 minuta, što je ukupno nekih sedam i pol sati unutar kojih se može smjestiti prethodni McConaugheyjev film u paketu s dvije duže filmske ekranizacije Grishama ("Vrijeme ubijanja", "Tvrtka").

Svaki od ovih navedenih filmova nemjerljivo je superiorniji seriji koja je gledljiva i iskoristljiva za ubijanje vremena ("a time to kill"), ali i prilično generička, ničim se posebno ne izdvajajući iznad prosjeka, osim glavnom ulogom glumca koji je uletio kao zamjena za provopredviđena Logana Marshall-Greena ("The Invitation", "Upgrade").

Garcia-Rulfo je bolji iz epizode u epizodu i sve više mu leži uloga odvjetnika koji je poznat po tome da je radio iz automobila, njegovog pokretnog ureda, vozeći se sa suda na sud.

Nakon što je odvjetnik Jerry Vincent stradao, točnije bio ustrijeljen u autu, Hellera sutkinja (Lisa Gay Hamilton) obavještava o prijenosu odvjetničkog ureda kolege na njega.

Sve Vincentovo je sada Hellerovo, uključujući opasnost da on sam bude smaknut i medijski eksponirani slučaj Trevora Elliotta (Christopher Gorham), optuženog da je ubio ženu i ljubavnika.

Hellera čeka "najveće suđenje u karijeri" nedugo nakon što se vratio poslu otkako se riješio ovisnosti o anelgeticima i mora se opet dokazati, ali i srediti privatni život koji uključuje ne jednu bivšu ženu (Becki Newton), nego dvije (drugu glumi Neve Campbell poslije "comebacka" u kinohitu "Vrisak 5"). Za ovo potonje odvjetnička serija djeluje čak i zainteresiranija. Heller je i bivši supružnik iz Lincolna, ne samo odvjetnik.
