Turistička zajednica trudi se valorizirati prirodne i arheološke posebnosti, lokalne predaje i legende vezane za hidrogomorfološki fenomen istočne obale Jadrana Zmajevo oko i na taj način dodatno reklamirati i zaštiti ovu prirodnu baštinu.

U Rogoznici uprizorena manifestacija Buđenje zmaja

A uprizorena legenda kaže da je zmaj Murin vanbračni sin božice Here i boga mora Posejdona iz svojih dvora na otoku Velika Smokvica vladao polisom Herakleja. Štitio je stanovnike od osvajača i pljačkaša, a oni su mu uz znak zahvale svake godine na najduži dan morali dati najljepšu djevojku za ženu. Nijedna nesretnica nije preživjela prvu bračnu noć. Dvadesetog dana lipnja na krilatom konju Pegazu pojavio heroj Aristoles, praunuk argonauta Jasona. Zaljubio se u djevojku koja je sutradan trebala biti nevjesta strašnog zmaja. Mladi junak izazvao je Zmaja na dvoboj i kopljem kojeg je uz pomoć Hefesta i mjesečeve prašine iskovala moćna božica Atena smrtno je ranio neman. Umirući Murin kanđama je iskopao vlastite oči. Jedno oko bacio je daleko iza Mljeta, a drugo mu je samo iskliznulo pod noge i istopilo kamen. U toj udubini stvorilo se slano jezero znakovitog imena Zmajevo oko.

A uprizorena legenda kaže da je zmaj Murin vanbračni sin božice Here i boga mora Posejdona iz svojih dvora na otoku Velika Smokvica vladao polisom Herakleja. Štitio je stanovnike od osvajača i pljačkaša, a oni su mu uz znak zahvale svake godine na najduži dan morali dati najljepšu djevojku za ženu. Nijedna nesretnica nije preživjela prvu bračnu noć. Dvadesetog dana lipnja na krilatom konju Pegazu pojavio heroj Aristoles, praunuk argonauta Jasona. Zaljubio se u djevojku koja je sutradan trebala biti nevjesta strašnog zmaja. Mladi junak izazvao je Zmaja na dvoboj i kopljem kojeg je uz pomoć Hefesta i mjesečeve prašine iskovala moćna božica Atena smrtno je ranio neman. Umirući Murin kanđama je iskopao vlastite oči. Jedno oko bacio je daleko iza Mljeta, a drugo mu je samo iskliznulo pod noge i istopilo kamen. U toj udubini stvorilo se slano jezero znakovitog imena Zmajevo oko.

Rogoznička Turistička zajednica i ove godine uprizorila je legendu vezanu za slano jezero Zmajevo oko. Narator na pozornici pričao je legendu o Zmaju Murinu, a podno pozornice strašni zmaj i plesači, vatre...

Turistička zajednica trudi se valorizirati prirodne i arheološke posebnosti, lokalne predaje i legende vezane za hidrogomorfološki fenomen istočne obale Jadrana Zmajevo oko i na taj način dodatno reklamirati i zaštiti ovu prirodnu baštinu.
