Srednjovjekovna kula Tambača dobro je očuvani dio nekadašnjeg obrambenog sustava grada. Uzdiže se iznad presvođene ulice koja je bila komunikacija između katedralnog trga i zgrada nad bivšom „Peškarijom“, a podignuta je nad obrambenim kamenim bedemom. Kula je dio kompleksa palače Tambača-Pelegrini koji u interijeru još čuva vrsne mozaičke podove iz vremena baroka.

Kula na svojim pročeljima ima prozore i vijence tipične za renesansni stil gradnje. Osim na križne svodove, kula Tambača se oslanja na par velikih lukova spojenih stupom složenim od kamenih blokova. Arhitektonski elementi izvedeni od niza kamenih blokova poput stupova ili pragova portala karakteristični su za fortifikacijsku renesansnu arhitekturu i pretežito su građeni u 16. stoljeću. Na profanim objektima takav način građenja simulirao je snagu i izdržljivost konstrukcije. Kula je najznačajniji očuvani konstruktivno-statički sklop u povijesnoj jezgri grada.

Prolazom ispod kule sredinom 15. stoljeća direktno se komuniciralo s gradskom terasom „4 bunara“ koja prekriva srednjovjekovni sklop cisterni za tadašnju javnu opskrbu vodom. O tom vremenu još svjedoči grb šibenskog kneza Valaressa uzidan u lunetu vrata koja izlaze na terasu. Valaresso je bio gradski knez i kapetan koji upravlja gradom od 1445. do 1447. godine, upravo u vrijeme kada su započeli i trajali radovi na podizanju ove gradske cisterne.

Prva faza radova na sanaciji prolaza ispod kule Tambača započela je u siječnju 2022. godine, a završena krajem travnja iste godine. Radovi su bili koncentrirani na sanaciju zidova i svodova iza lijevog kamenog luka koji pridržava kulu (promatrajući prema izlazu na plato „4 bunara“).

Druga faza radova sanacije prolaza ispod kule započela je u prosincu 2022. godine, a te je završena tijekom prve polovice 2023. godine. U toj drugoj fazi najznačajniji je zahvat bila sanacija kamenog sloga na zidovima iza desnog kamenog luka koji pridržava kulu. Zidovi i svodovi bili su značajno zaprljani, crni, pa je čitav prolaz bio taman.

Sasvim desni zid tog prolaza imao je na početku zahvata mnoštvo značajno oštećenih kamenih blokova, a određeni broj kamenih blokova već je od ranije ispao iz zida. Zbog toga je prolaz tom ulicom bio ujedno i opasan. Posebno je zahtjevan bio fragment zida ispod recentnog balkona, desno od luka kule.

Veliki dio blokova je zamijenjen novim kamenom. Izvršeno je čišćenje fuga i novo fugiranje. Izvršeni su istražni radovi na žbuci svodova i zidova, ali nisu dali nikakve rezultate. Nakon toga se uklonila recentna žbuka te je izvršeno novo žbukanje svodova s restauratorskom žbukom. Ožbukan je i podgled recentnog balkona radi stvaranja urednije slike tog dijela ulice. Na kraju uličnog prolaza kulu pridržava još jedan mali kameni segmentni luk. Ovaj luk je izišao iz svog izvornog ležišta, dijelom se osipava na ulicu, što je vrlo opasno za nosivi sustav kule.

Njegova sanacija predviđena je za jesen 2023. godine kada će se temeljem statičkog projekta izvršiti izvedba unutarnje nosive grede iznad luka i tek onda pristupiti njegovoj demontaži, tj. zamjeni blokova. Ovime će biti konačno završena i ova druga faza sanacije prolaza ispod kule Tambača. Radove I. i II. faze obavila je restauratorska radionica PETRA VIVA, vlasnika Vedrana Pehneca iz Splita. Vrijednost obavljenih restauratorskih i građevinskih radova iznosi 14 000 eura.

Srednjovjekovna kula Tambača dobro je očuvani dio nekadašnjeg obrambenog sustava grada. Uzdiže se iznad presvođene ulice koja je bila komunikacija između katedralnog trga i zgrada nad bivšom „Peškarijom“, a podignuta je nad obrambenim kamenim bedemom. Kula je dio kompleksa palače Tambača-Pelegrini koji u interijeru još čuva vrsne mozaičke podove iz vremena baroka.

Kula na svojim pročeljima ima prozore i vijence tipične za renesansni stil gradnje. Osim na križne svodove, kula Tambača se oslanja na par velikih lukova spojenih stupom složenim od kamenih blokova. Arhitektonski elementi izvedeni od niza kamenih blokova poput stupova ili pragova portala karakteristični su za fortifikacijsku renesansnu arhitekturu i pretežito su građeni u 16. stoljeću. Na profanim objektima takav način građenja simulirao je snagu i izdržljivost konstrukcije. Kula je najznačajniji očuvani konstruktivno-statički sklop u povijesnoj jezgri grada.

Prolazom ispod kule sredinom 15. stoljeća direktno se komuniciralo s gradskom terasom „4 bunara“ koja prekriva srednjovjekovni sklop cisterni za tadašnju javnu opskrbu vodom. O tom vremenu još svjedoči grb šibenskog kneza Valaressa uzidan u lunetu vrata koja izlaze na terasu. Valaresso je bio gradski knez i kapetan koji upravlja gradom od 1445. do 1447. godine, upravo u vrijeme kada su započeli i trajali radovi na podizanju ove gradske cisterne.

Prva faza radova na sanaciji prolaza ispod kule Tambača započela je u siječnju 2022. godine, a završena krajem travnja iste godine. Radovi su bili koncentrirani na sanaciju zidova i svodova iza lijevog kamenog luka koji pridržava kulu (promatrajući prema izlazu na plato „4 bunara“).

Druga faza radova sanacije prolaza ispod kule započela je u prosincu 2022. godine, a te je završena tijekom prve polovice 2023. godine. U toj drugoj fazi najznačajniji je zahvat bila sanacija kamenog sloga na zidovima iza desnog kamenog luka koji pridržava kulu. Zidovi i svodovi bili su značajno zaprljani, crni, pa je čitav prolaz bio taman.

Sasvim desni zid tog prolaza imao je na početku zahvata mnoštvo značajno oštećenih kamenih blokova, a određeni broj kamenih blokova već je od ranije ispao iz zida. Zbog toga je prolaz tom ulicom bio ujedno i opasan. Posebno je zahtjevan bio fragment zida ispod recentnog balkona, desno od luka kule.

Veliki dio blokova je zamijenjen novim kamenom. Izvršeno je čišćenje fuga i novo fugiranje. Izvršeni su istražni radovi na žbuci svodova i zidova, ali nisu dali nikakve rezultate. Nakon toga se uklonila recentna žbuka te je izvršeno novo žbukanje svodova s restauratorskom žbukom. Ožbukan je i podgled recentnog balkona radi stvaranja urednije slike tog dijela ulice. Na kraju uličnog prolaza kulu pridržava još jedan mali kameni segmentni luk. Ovaj luk je izišao iz svog izvornog ležišta, dijelom se osipava na ulicu, što je vrlo opasno za nosivi sustav kule.

Njegova sanacija predviđena je za jesen 2023. godine kada će se temeljem statičkog projekta izvršiti izvedba unutarnje nosive grede iznad luka i tek onda pristupiti njegovoj demontaži, tj. zamjeni blokova. Ovime će biti konačno završena i ova druga faza sanacije prolaza ispod kule Tambača. Radove I. i II. faze obavila je restauratorska radionica PETRA VIVA, vlasnika Vedrana Pehneca iz Splita. Vrijednost obavljenih restauratorskih i građevinskih radova iznosi 14 000 eura.

Srednjovjekovna kula Tambača dobro je očuvani dio nekadašnjeg obrambenog sustava grada. Uzdiže se iznad presvođene ulice koja je bila komunikacija između katedralnog trga i zgrada nad bivšom „Peškarijom“, a podignuta je nad obrambenim kamenim bedemom. Kula je dio kompleksa palače Tambača-Pelegrini koji u interijeru još čuva vrsne mozaičke podove iz vremena baroka.

Kula na svojim pročeljima ima prozore i vijence tipične za renesansni stil gradnje. Osim na križne svodove, kula Tambača se oslanja na par velikih lukova spojenih stupom složenim od kamenih blokova. Arhitektonski elementi izvedeni od niza kamenih blokova poput stupova ili pragova portala karakteristični su za fortifikacijsku renesansnu arhitekturu i pretežito su građeni u 16. stoljeću. Na profanim objektima takav način građenja simulirao je snagu i izdržljivost konstrukcije. Kula je najznačajniji očuvani konstruktivno-statički sklop u povijesnoj jezgri grada.

Prolazom ispod kule sredinom 15. stoljeća direktno se komuniciralo s gradskom terasom „4 bunara“ koja prekriva srednjovjekovni sklop cisterni za tadašnju javnu opskrbu vodom. O tom vremenu još svjedoči grb šibenskog kneza Valaressa uzidan u lunetu vrata koja izlaze na terasu. Valaresso je bio gradski knez i kapetan koji upravlja gradom od 1445. do 1447. godine, upravo u vrijeme kada su započeli i trajali radovi na podizanju ove gradske cisterne.
