Pet sportova, uključujući kriket i ‘flag football‘ bit će na programu Olimpijskih igara u Los Angelesu 2028. godine, odlučio je u ponedjeljak Međunarodni olimpijski odbor (MOO).

Organizatori su također predložili i lacrosse, squash i baseball-softball i dobili su odobrenje na sastanku MOO-a u Mumbaiju.

Svaki grad domaćin, prema pravilima MOO-a, može zatražiti uključivanje nekoliko sportova za svoje izdanje Igara.

Kriket, koji ima veliku publiku u Indiji ali i sve veću globalnu publiku, vraća se na Igre nakon više od jednog stoljeća, nakon što se jednom pojavio na Olimpijskim igrama 1900. godine.

Prijedlog organizatora Igara u Los Angelesu je da na turniru u kriketu Twenty20 bude po šest timova za muškarce i žene. T20 je kratki format igre. MOO se nada da će uključivanjem kriketa privući veliku, novu olimpijsku publiku, posebno među azijskim obožavateljima ovog sporta.

Godišnji turnir indijske Premier lige u kriketu, s procijenjenom vrijednošću od 8,4 milijarde dolara, jedna je od najbogatijih liga u svijetu u svim sportovima i nastavlja privlačiti najbolje svjetske igrače i trenere u Indiju. Turnir se igra u istom T20 formatu u kojem će se igrati i u Los Angelesu 2028.

Flag football je beskontaktni format američkog nogometa koji igraju momčadi od po pet igrača. Igra se sastoji od toga da  umjesto da suparnike obaraju na tlo, obrambeni tim mora ukloniti zastavicu ili pojas zastavice s nosača lopte ("deflagging"). 

Bejzbol se pojavio na nekoliko prethodnih igara. Dodan je programu u Tokiju 2020. nakon što je izostavljen 2012. i 2016., ali neće biti dio Igara u Parizu.

Softball, ženska varijanta bejzbola, pojavio se na pet prethodnih izdanja Ljetnih igara, a također je bio izostavljen s programa u Parizu. Lacrosse se dvaput pojavio kao sport na Olimpijskim igrama - 1904. i 1908. godine.

Pet sportova, uključujući kriket i ‘flag football‘ bit će na programu Olimpijskih igara u Los Angelesu 2028. godine, odlučio je u ponedjeljak Međunarodni olimpijski odbor (MOO).

Organizatori su također predložili i lacrosse, squash i baseball-softball i dobili su odobrenje na sastanku MOO-a u Mumbaiju.

Svaki grad domaćin, prema pravilima MOO-a, može zatražiti uključivanje nekoliko sportova za svoje izdanje Igara.

Kriket, koji ima veliku publiku u Indiji ali i sve veću globalnu publiku, vraća se na Igre nakon više od jednog stoljeća, nakon što se jednom pojavio na Olimpijskim igrama 1900. godine.

Prijedlog organizatora Igara u Los Angelesu je da na turniru u kriketu Twenty20 bude po šest timova za muškarce i žene. T20 je kratki format igre. MOO se nada da će uključivanjem kriketa privući veliku, novu olimpijsku publiku, posebno među azijskim obožavateljima ovog sporta.

Godišnji turnir indijske Premier lige u kriketu, s procijenjenom vrijednošću od 8,4 milijarde dolara, jedna je od najbogatijih liga u svijetu u svim sportovima i nastavlja privlačiti najbolje svjetske igrače i trenere u Indiju. Turnir se igra u istom T20 formatu u kojem će se igrati i u Los Angelesu 2028.

Flag football je beskontaktni format američkog nogometa koji igraju momčadi od po pet igrača. Igra se sastoji od toga da  umjesto da suparnike obaraju na tlo, obrambeni tim mora ukloniti zastavicu ili pojas zastavice s nosača lopte ("deflagging"). 

Bejzbol se pojavio na nekoliko prethodnih igara. Dodan je programu u Tokiju 2020. nakon što je izostavljen 2012. i 2016., ali neće biti dio Igara u Parizu.

Softball, ženska varijanta bejzbola, pojavio se na pet prethodnih izdanja Ljetnih igara, a također je bio izostavljen s programa u Parizu. Lacrosse se dvaput pojavio kao sport na Olimpijskim igrama - 1904. i 1908. godine.

Pet ‘novih‘ sportova bit će na programu Olimpijskih igara u Los Angelesu

Pet sportova, uključujući kriket i ‘flag football‘ bit će na programu Olimpijskih igara u Los Angelesu 2028. godine, odlučio je u ponedjeljak Međunarodni olimpijski odbor (MOO).

Organizatori su također predložili i lacrosse, squash i baseball-softball i dobili su odobrenje na sastanku MOO-a u Mumbaiju.

Svaki grad domaćin, prema pravilima MOO-a, može zatražiti uključivanje nekoliko sportova za svoje izdanje Igara.

Kriket, koji ima veliku publiku u Indiji ali i sve veću globalnu publiku, vraća se na Igre nakon više od jednog stoljeća, nakon što se jednom pojavio na Olimpijskim igrama 1900. godine.

Prijedlog organizatora Igara u Los Angelesu je da na turniru u kriketu Twenty20 bude po šest timova za muškarce i žene. T20 je kratki format igre. MOO se nada da će uključivanjem kriketa privući veliku, novu olimpijsku publiku, posebno među azijskim obožavateljima ovog sporta.

Godišnji turnir indijske Premier lige u kriketu, s procijenjenom vrijednošću od 8,4 milijarde dolara, jedna je od najbogatijih liga u svijetu u svim sportovima i nastavlja privlačiti najbolje svjetske igrače i trenere u Indiju. Turnir se igra u istom T20 formatu u kojem će se igrati i u Los Angelesu 2028.

Flag football je beskontaktni format američkog nogometa koji igraju momčadi od po pet igrača. Igra se sastoji od toga da  umjesto da suparnike obaraju na tlo, obrambeni tim mora ukloniti zastavicu ili pojas zastavice s nosača lopte ("deflagging"). 

Bejzbol se pojavio na nekoliko prethodnih igara. Dodan je programu u Tokiju 2020. nakon što je izostavljen 2012. i 2016., ali neće biti dio Igara u Parizu.

Softball, ženska varijanta bejzbola, pojavio se na pet prethodnih izdanja Ljetnih igara, a također je bio izostavljen s programa u Parizu. Lacrosse se dvaput pojavio kao sport na Olimpijskim igrama - 1904. i 1908. godine.
