Imunolog Zlatko Trobonjača komentirao je za N1 aktualnu epidemiološku situaciju.

Govoreći o brojnim varijantama omikrona, Trobonjača kaže da je to nešto drugačiji virus od početnih sojeva koji više inficira gornje dijelove dišnog sustava pa zato često izaziva blažu kliničku sliku od onih kojima smo svjedočili u alfa ili delta epidemiji.

- Je li to sad neka gripetina, nije baš u svim slučajevima. Ljudi su osjetljivi, to je i dalje SARS virus koji može izazvati teški akutni respiracijski sindrom, osobito kod kroničnih bolesnika. Oni su i dalje osjetljivi i oni mogu loše proći, završiti u bolnici i umrijeti, čemu i svjedočimo, govori Trobonjača.

Na pitanje postoje li razlike u ljetnom i zimskom razdoblju, Trobonjača kaže: - Znamo da se respiracijski virusi više šire u zimskim sezonama nego u ljetnim. Međutim, znamo i da oni virusi koji se lakše prenose, poput ovih novih podvarijanti omikron virusa, da se kod njih sezonalnost gubi. I neki kraći kontakti dovode do prijenosa bolesti, čak i na otvorenom. Vidimo da bez obzira na velike vrućine imamo rast intenziteta epidemije jer nam je došao virus koji značajno više prenosiv u odnosu na neke prethodne varijante.

- Virus evoluira, smatra Trobonjača i u prilog tome navodi broj reinfekcija. Sada je 25 do 30 posto svih slučajeva reinfekcija, a prije je to bilo značajno manje.

- Naprosto se virus mijenja pa imunost koju smo prije proizveli nas sve manje štiti, kaže.

Prema njegovim riječima, s vremenom će opadati društveni značaj epidemije.

Imunolog Zlatko Trobonjača komentirao je za N1 aktualnu epidemiološku situaciju.

Govoreći o brojnim varijantama omikrona, Trobonjača kaže da je to nešto drugačiji virus od početnih sojeva koji više inficira gornje dijelove dišnog sustava pa zato često izaziva blažu kliničku sliku od onih kojima smo svjedočili u alfa ili delta epidemiji.

- Je li to sad neka gripetina, nije baš u svim slučajevima. Ljudi su osjetljivi, to je i dalje SARS virus koji može izazvati teški akutni respiracijski sindrom, osobito kod kroničnih bolesnika. Oni su i dalje osjetljivi i oni mogu loše proći, završiti u bolnici i umrijeti, čemu i svjedočimo, govori Trobonjača.

Na pitanje postoje li razlike u ljetnom i zimskom razdoblju, Trobonjača kaže: - Znamo da se respiracijski virusi više šire u zimskim sezonama nego u ljetnim. Međutim, znamo i da oni virusi koji se lakše prenose, poput ovih novih podvarijanti omikron virusa, da se kod njih sezonalnost gubi. I neki kraći kontakti dovode do prijenosa bolesti, čak i na otvorenom. Vidimo da bez obzira na velike vrućine imamo rast intenziteta epidemije jer nam je došao virus koji značajno više prenosiv u odnosu na neke prethodne varijante.

- Virus evoluira, smatra Trobonjača i u prilog tome navodi broj reinfekcija. Sada je 25 do 30 posto svih slučajeva reinfekcija, a prije je to bilo značajno manje.

- Naprosto se virus mijenja pa imunost koju smo prije proizveli nas sve manje štiti, kaže.

Prema njegovim riječima, s vremenom će opadati društveni značaj epidemije.

Imunolog Trobonjača: Epidemija Covida s vremenom gubi društveni značaj. Je li to sad neka gripetina? Ne u svim slučajevima...

Imunolog Zlatko Trobonjača komentirao je za N1 aktualnu epidemiološku situaciju.

Govoreći o brojnim varijantama omikrona, Trobonjača kaže da je to nešto drugačiji virus od početnih sojeva koji više inficira gornje dijelove dišnog sustava pa zato često izaziva blažu kliničku sliku od onih kojima smo svjedočili u alfa ili delta epidemiji.

- Je li to sad neka gripetina, nije baš u svim slučajevima. Ljudi su osjetljivi, to je i dalje SARS virus koji može izazvati teški akutni respiracijski sindrom, osobito kod kroničnih bolesnika. Oni su i dalje osjetljivi i oni mogu loše proći, završiti u bolnici i umrijeti, čemu i svjedočimo, govori Trobonjača.

Na pitanje postoje li razlike u ljetnom i zimskom razdoblju, Trobonjača kaže: - Znamo da se respiracijski virusi više šire u zimskim sezonama nego u ljetnim. Međutim, znamo i da oni virusi koji se lakše prenose, poput ovih novih podvarijanti omikron virusa, da se kod njih sezonalnost gubi. I neki kraći kontakti dovode do prijenosa bolesti, čak i na otvorenom. Vidimo da bez obzira na velike vrućine imamo rast intenziteta epidemije jer nam je došao virus koji značajno više prenosiv u odnosu na neke prethodne varijante.

- Virus evoluira, smatra Trobonjača i u prilog tome navodi broj reinfekcija. Sada je 25 do 30 posto svih slučajeva reinfekcija, a prije je to bilo značajno manje.

- Naprosto se virus mijenja pa imunost koju smo prije proizveli nas sve manje štiti, kaže.

Prema njegovim riječima, s vremenom će opadati društveni značaj epidemije.
