Nedavna objava sa facebook stranice Splitska peškarija zbunila je neke naše čitatelje. Riječ je o informaciji da je u Splitu na ribljoj tržnici, u kašeti među srdelama pronađen majušni primjerak četverozupke (Sphoeroides pachygaster), napuhače, fuga ili kuglakoža, riblje egzote pridošle u Jadran s klimatskim promjenama preko Sueza. Ribica, ne veća od jagodice prsta na ruci uhvaćena je mrežom plivaricom kod Tribunja i to nije prvi put, budući da su u tribunjskome akvatoriju posljednjih godina tunjom i u pridnene mreže uhvaćena barem dva primjerka odraslih jedinki.

Nedoumica dolazi od napomene "Nema panike!" te "nije otrovna" u istoj objavi splitske peškarije. Zar kuglakož nije poznat kao riba s jednim od najjačih otrova poznatih u prirodi!? Od delikatese fugu, koja se u Japanu priprema od te ribe, godišnje umre barem 200 posjetitelja specijaliziranih restorana pristajući na ‘ruski rulet‘ u pijatu koji pripremaju specijalno školovani kuhari – pa eto, i oni pogriješe?

Obratili smo se dr. sc. Jakovu Dulčiću, istaknutom ihtiologu i voditelju Laboratorija za ihtiologiju i priobalni ribolov Oceanografskog instituta u Splitu. Detaljnije od objave s fejsa Splitske peškarije objašnjava u čemu je stvar.

Naime, ribicu na slici "toliku slatku da bi je čovjek pojeo" uistinu bi se moglo pojesti bez posljedica, suprotno navodima na brojnim internetskim stranicama.

-Ta vrsta pripada obitelji četverozupki ili Tetraodontidae. To je riblja porodica s vrstama koje posjeduju vrlo jak, termostabilni otrov tetraodotoksin, prema nekim autorima i do 1250 puta jači od cijanida. Taloži se u jetri, mišićima i koži jedinki te prilikom konzumacije može izazvati smrt. Primjerak pronađen na splitskoj peškariji međutim, pripada vrsti Sphoeroides pachygaster, za koju dosad nije zabilježen ni jedan slučaj trovanja. I na stranici Fishbase stoji službeno da je bezopasna (harmless). - kaže dr.sc. Dulčić.

No, stručnjak u nastavku posebno ističe da za konzumacijom bilo koje vrste iz obitelji četverozupki, pa tako i ove bezopasne, nema nikakve potrebe.

Dr.sc. Dulčić to ne preporuča, to više jer je u EU zabranjena konzumacija svih vrsta iz te riblje porodice otkako su prodrle u Sredozemlje. Tu invazivnu vrstu sada dosta love Turci i Grci, gdje se ukorijenila, a slučajeva trovanja bilo je u zemljama Sjeverne Afrike i na Bliskom istoku.

Pa ako panici i nema mjesta, utoliko treba biti vrlo oprezan, jer je kod nas u Jadranu zabilježena i ona otrovna, ‘japanska‘, srebrnoprugasta četverozupka latinskog naziva Lagocephalus sceleratus.

To je danak klimatskim promjenama kojima svjedočimo i još nije poznato koliki će utjecaj invazivnih vrsta biti na životnu zajednicu našeg mora.

Uglavnom, konstatacija da je onaj "fugo toliko sladak da bi ga čovjek pojeo" neka ostane tek jezičnom figurom da se opiše ljupkost ribe kojoj ipak ne treba dopustiti da nam dospije na pijat, makar nam plivala u Jadranu.

Riječ je o informaciji da je u Splitu na ribljoj tržnici, u kašeti među srdelama pronađen majušni primjerak četverozupke (Sphoeroides pachygaster), napuhače, fuga ili kuglakoža, riblje egzote pridošle u Jadran s klimatskim promjenama preko Sueza. Ribica, ne veća od jagodice prsta na ruci uhvaćena je mrežom plivaricom kod Tribunja i to nije prvi put, budući da su u tribunjskome akvatoriju posljednjih godina tunjom i u pridnene mreže uhvaćena barem dva primjerka odraslih jedinki.

Nedoumica dolazi od napomene "Nema panike!" te "nije otrovna" u istoj objavi splitske peškarije. Zar kuglakož nije poznat kao riba s jednim od najjačih otrova poznatih u prirodi!? Od delikatese fugu, koja se u Japanu priprema od te ribe, godišnje umre barem 200 posjetitelja specijaliziranih restorana pristajući na ‘ruski rulet‘ u pijatu koji pripremaju specijalno školovani kuhari – pa eto, i oni pogriješe?

Obratili smo se dr. sc. Jakovu Dulčiću, istaknutom ihtiologu i voditelju Laboratorija za ihtiologiju i priobalni ribolov Oceanografskog instituta u Splitu. Detaljnije od objave s fejsa Splitske peškarije objašnjava u čemu je stvar.

Naime, ribicu na slici "toliku slatku da bi je čovjek pojeo" uistinu bi se moglo pojesti bez posljedica, suprotno navodima na brojnim internetskim stranicama.

-Ta vrsta pripada obitelji četverozupki ili Tetraodontidae. To je riblja porodica s vrstama koje posjeduju vrlo jak, termostabilni otrov tetraodotoksin, prema nekim autorima i do 1250 puta jači od cijanida. Taloži se u jetri, mišićima i koži jedinki te prilikom konzumacije može izazvati smrt. Primjerak pronađen na splitskoj peškariji međutim, pripada vrsti Sphoeroides pachygaster, za koju dosad nije zabilježen ni jedan slučaj trovanja. I na stranici Fishbase stoji službeno da je bezopasna (harmless). - kaže dr.sc. Dulčić.

No, stručnjak u nastavku posebno ističe da za konzumacijom bilo koje vrste iz obitelji četverozupki, pa tako i ove bezopasne, nema nikakve potrebe.

Dr.sc. Dulčić to ne preporuča, to više jer je u EU zabranjena konzumacija svih vrsta iz te riblje porodice otkako su prodrle u Sredozemlje. Tu invazivnu vrstu sada dosta love Turci i Grci, gdje se ukorijenila, a slučajeva trovanja bilo je u zemljama Sjeverne Afrike i na Bliskom istoku.

Pa ako panici i nema mjesta, utoliko treba biti vrlo oprezan, jer je kod nas u Jadranu zabilježena i ona otrovna, ‘japanska‘, srebrnoprugasta četverozupka latinskog naziva Lagocephalus sceleratus.

To je danak klimatskim promjenama kojima svjedočimo i još nije poznato koliki će utjecaj invazivnih vrsta biti na životnu zajednicu našeg mora.

Uglavnom, konstatacija da je onaj "fugo toliko sladak da bi ga čovjek pojeo" neka ostane tek jezičnom figurom da se opiše ljupkost ribe kojoj ipak ne treba dopustiti da nam dospije na pijat, makar nam plivala u Jadranu.
