Još uvijek svakodnevno uzimate aspirin kako bi spriječili srčani udar? Možda biste trebali preispitati tu naviku, piše CNN.

Aspirin je jedan od najčešće korištenih lijekova na svijetu, čak i sada kad ga brojni zdravstveni stručnjaci više ne preporučuju.

Naime, novo istraživanje nije pronašlo nikakve dokaze da bi ljudi dobrog kardiovaskularnog zdravlja trebali uzimati male doze aspirina – manje od 325 miligrama dnevno. Studija je objavljena u srijedu u britanskom Časopisu kliničke farmakologije.

Istraživanje usredotočeno na niske doze aspirina, pokazalo je da rizik od krvarenja zbog učinka koji lijek ima na gustoću krvi, nadmašuje potencijalne korisne efekte.

Američke smjernice o preporučenoj dozi aspirina promijenjene su prošle godine, nakon što su Američki koledž kardiologije i Američko udruženje za bolesti srca lijek preporučili samo pacijentima koji su imali srčani ili moždani udar te operaciju srca. Savjet britanskih stručnjaka je sličan.

Posljednja analiza koja je uključila 67 studija, otkrila je da je uzimanje malih doza aspirina kod ljudi koji nemaju srčane tegobe, povezano sa 17 posto manjom incidencijom za srčani ili moždani udar.

Međutim, uzimanje aspirina je također povezano s 47 posto višim rizikom od gastrointestinalnog krvarenja i 34 posto višim rizikom krvarenja u mozgu.

'Naš rad potvrđuje da nema dokaza da je potrebno uzimati aspirin iz preventivnih razloga', rekli su autori studije, doktor Lee Smith, predavač na Sveučilištu Anglia Ruskin u Velikoj Britaniji i doktor Nicola Veronese sa Sveučilišta Palermo u Italiji.

'Glavna poruka našeg rada je da su male doze aspirina korisne jedino kad već imate neki problem sa srcem.'

Znanstveni tim je također pregledao i radove u kojima se podržava uzimanje aspirina, no otkrili su da stvarnih dokaza o korisnosti aspirina nema.

'Niske doze aspirina su najkorišteniji oblik terapije na svijetu. No naše istraživanje sugerira da potencijalni rizik od krvarenja ne bi trebao biti smatran sekundarnim', kazali su Smith i Veronese.

Milijuni Amerikanaca koji nikada nisu imali kardiovaskularne bolesti svaki dan uzimaju aspirin bez liječničke preporuke, unatoč sve češćim izvješćima da je to nepotrebno, navodi se u studiji.

S obzirom na velik broj mogućih drugih zahvata i terapija dostupnih za liječenje bolesti srca, poput statina, lijekova za krvni tlak i preporuka o prestanku pušenja i gubitku prekomjerne težine, znanstvenici kažu da uzimanje aspirina kao prevencije nije potrebno.'

Još uvijek svakodnevno uzimate aspirin kako bi spriječili srčani udar? Možda biste trebali preispitati tu naviku, piše CNN.

Aspirin je jedan od najčešće korištenih lijekova na svijetu, čak i sada kad ga brojni zdravstveni stručnjaci više ne preporučuju.

Naime, novo istraživanje nije pronašlo nikakve dokaze da bi ljudi dobrog kardiovaskularnog zdravlja trebali uzimati male doze aspirina – manje od 325 miligrama dnevno. Studija je objavljena u srijedu u britanskom Časopisu kliničke farmakologije.

Istraživanje usredotočeno na niske doze aspirina, pokazalo je da rizik od krvarenja zbog učinka koji lijek ima na gustoću krvi, nadmašuje potencijalne korisne efekte.

Američke smjernice o preporučenoj dozi aspirina promijenjene su prošle godine, nakon što su Američki koledž kardiologije i Američko udruženje za bolesti srca lijek preporučili samo pacijentima koji su imali srčani ili moždani udar te operaciju srca. Savjet britanskih stručnjaka je sličan.

Posljednja analiza koja je uključila 67 studija, otkrila je da je uzimanje malih doza aspirina kod ljudi koji nemaju srčane tegobe, povezano sa 17 posto manjom incidencijom za srčani ili moždani udar.

Međutim, uzimanje aspirina je također povezano s 47 posto višim rizikom od gastrointestinalnog krvarenja i 34 posto višim rizikom krvarenja u mozgu.

'Naš rad potvrđuje da nema dokaza da je potrebno uzimati aspirin iz preventivnih razloga', rekli su autori studije, doktor Lee Smith, predavač na Sveučilištu Anglia Ruskin u Velikoj Britaniji i doktor Nicola Veronese sa Sveučilišta Palermo u Italiji.

'Glavna poruka našeg rada je da su male doze aspirina korisne jedino kad već imate neki problem sa srcem.'

Znanstveni tim je također pregledao i radove u kojima se podržava uzimanje aspirina, no otkrili su da stvarnih dokaza o korisnosti aspirina nema.

'Niske doze aspirina su najkorišteniji oblik terapije na svijetu. No naše istraživanje sugerira da potencijalni rizik od krvarenja ne bi trebao biti smatran sekundarnim', kazali su Smith i Veronese.

Milijuni Amerikanaca koji nikada nisu imali kardiovaskularne bolesti svaki dan uzimaju aspirin bez liječničke preporuke, unatoč sve češćim izvješćima da je to nepotrebno, navodi se u studiji.

S obzirom na velik broj mogućih drugih zahvata i terapija dostupnih za liječenje bolesti srca, poput statina, lijekova za krvni tlak i preporuka o prestanku pušenja i gubitku prekomjerne težine, znanstvenici kažu da uzimanje aspirina kao prevencije nije potrebno.'

Još uvijek svakodnevno uzimate aspirin kako bi spriječili srčani udar? Možda biste trebali preispitati tu naviku, piše CNN.

Aspirin je jedan od najčešće korištenih lijekova na svijetu, čak i sada kad ga brojni zdravstveni stručnjaci više ne preporučuju.

Naime, novo istraživanje nije pronašlo nikakve dokaze da bi ljudi dobrog kardiovaskularnog zdravlja trebali uzimati male doze aspirina – manje od 325 miligrama dnevno. Studija je objavljena u srijedu u britanskom Časopisu kliničke farmakologije.

Istraživanje usredotočeno na niske doze aspirina, pokazalo je da rizik od krvarenja zbog učinka koji lijek ima na gustoću krvi, nadmašuje potencijalne korisne efekte.

Američke smjernice o preporučenoj dozi aspirina promijenjene su prošle godine, nakon što su Američki koledž kardiologije i Američko udruženje za bolesti srca lijek preporučili samo pacijentima koji su imali srčani ili moždani udar te operaciju srca. Savjet britanskih stručnjaka je sličan.

Posljednja analiza koja je uključila 67 studija, otkrila je da je uzimanje malih doza aspirina kod ljudi koji nemaju srčane tegobe, povezano sa 17 posto manjom incidencijom za srčani ili moždani udar.

Međutim, uzimanje aspirina je također povezano s 47 posto višim rizikom od gastrointestinalnog krvarenja i 34 posto višim rizikom krvarenja u mozgu.

'Naš rad potvrđuje da nema dokaza da je potrebno uzimati aspirin iz preventivnih razloga', rekli su autori studije, doktor Lee Smith, predavač na Sveučilištu Anglia Ruskin u Velikoj Britaniji i doktor Nicola Veronese sa Sveučilišta Palermo u Italiji.

'Glavna poruka našeg rada je da su male doze aspirina korisne jedino kad već imate neki problem sa srcem.'

Znanstveni tim je također pregledao i radove u kojima se podržava uzimanje aspirina, no otkrili su da stvarnih dokaza o korisnosti aspirina nema.

'Niske doze aspirina su najkorišteniji oblik terapije na svijetu. No naše istraživanje sugerira da potencijalni rizik od krvarenja ne bi trebao biti smatran sekundarnim', kazali su Smith i Veronese.

Milijuni Amerikanaca koji nikada nisu imali kardiovaskularne bolesti svaki dan uzimaju aspirin bez liječničke preporuke, unatoč sve češćim izvješćima da je to nepotrebno, navodi se u studiji.

S obzirom na velik broj mogućih drugih zahvata i terapija dostupnih za liječenje bolesti srca, poput statina, lijekova za krvni tlak i preporuka o prestanku pušenja i gubitku prekomjerne težine, znanstvenici kažu da uzimanje aspirina kao prevencije nije potrebno.'
