Pun elana došao je ljetos Aco Petrović u Pesaro, klub koji se nekad zvao Scavolini i za koji je igrao u drugoj polovici osamdesetih. No, kao trener zadržao se vrlo kratko, tek nekoliko mjeseci ili pak - četiri prvenstvena kola u kojima je Pesaro dobio samo jednu od četiri utakmice...

- Jednostavno, s obzirom na sve što se događalo, pogreške u slaganju momčadi koje smo pokušali popraviti jednom izmjenom, kao i ograničenim budžetom zbog kojeg nove promjene nisu bile moguće, odlučio sam dati priliku ljudima u klubu da nekako poprave stvari dok još nije sve izgubljeno - govorio je Petrović na povratku iz Italije u Zagreb.

Pesaro je Legu otvorio tijesnim porazom u Sassariju, kod kuće prilično lako dobio Trst, da bi nakon teškog poraza kod Fortituda u Bologni izgubio i doma od Tortone. Opet, to ne znači da je sezona izgubljena, daleko od toga, pogotovo što se radi o momčadi kojoj je u Italiji maksimum nekakva sredina tablice.

- To stoji, rezultat odnosno omjer 1-3 nije tragičan, ali način na koji smo izgubili posljednje dvije utakmice, igrali bez inteziteta, smatram se najodgovornijim na to. Nisam osjetio momčadi, nisam osjetio da uživam puno povjerenje igrača i odlaskom sam želio pomoći klubu da ih se stavi pred zid jer bismo u suprotnom i sljedeće dvije utakmice, protiv Venezie u gostima i Trenta kod kuće, izgubili na isti način.

Aco je ostavku podnio nakon razgovora s predsjednikom Ariom Costom i sportskim direktorom Walterom Magnificom.

- To su moji prijatelji, bivši suigrači i dugo smo razgovarali, čak su mi dali nekakav timeout od pet ili šest sati, ali sve im je bilo potpuno jasno, respektirali su moju odluku. U ovih 30 godina koliko se bavim trenerskim poslom rijetko mi se događala ovakva situacija da nije ostvarena potrebna kemija od samog početka sezone. Pogotovo jer smo prve dvije utakmice odigrali solidno, na Sardiniji izgubili s posljednjim košem. Nakon toga sam očekivao pomak, iskorak, no, dogodilo se suprotno i nije imalo smisla više zavlačiti klub.

Je li mu sada žao što se zbog posla u Pesaru povukao s izborničke funkcije u Brazilu?

- Ne, to nema veze jedno s drugim. U Brazilu sam proveo četiri godine, ciklus zaključio u Splitu gdje smo igrali dobro i završili bismo na Olimpijskim igrama da smo u finalu pogodili koji šut više, ali zbog smjene generacija koju smo počeli već u mom mandatu za Brazil je bolje da ih vodi domaći izbornik pa taj proces nastavlja njihov najbolji trener - zaključio je Aco Petrović.

Pun elana došao je ljetos Aco Petrović u Pesaro, klub koji se nekad zvao Scavolini i za koji je igrao u drugoj polovici osamdesetih. No, kao trener zadržao se vrlo kratko, tek nekoliko mjeseci ili pak - četiri prvenstvena kola u kojima je Pesaro dobio samo jednu od četiri utakmice...

- Jednostavno, s obzirom na sve što se događalo, pogreške u slaganju momčadi koje smo pokušali popraviti jednom izmjenom, kao i ograničenim budžetom zbog kojeg nove promjene nisu bile moguće, odlučio sam dati priliku ljudima u klubu da nekako poprave stvari dok još nije sve izgubljeno - govorio je Petrović na povratku iz Italije u Zagreb.

Pesaro je Legu otvorio tijesnim porazom u Sassariju, kod kuće prilično lako dobio Trst, da bi nakon teškog poraza kod Fortituda u Bologni izgubio i doma od Tortone. Opet, to ne znači da je sezona izgubljena, daleko od toga, pogotovo što se radi o momčadi kojoj je u Italiji maksimum nekakva sredina tablice.

- To stoji, rezultat odnosno omjer 1-3 nije tragičan, ali način na koji smo izgubili posljednje dvije utakmice, igrali bez inteziteta, smatram se najodgovornijim na to. Nisam osjetio momčadi, nisam osjetio da uživam puno povjerenje igrača i odlaskom sam želio pomoći klubu da ih se stavi pred zid jer bismo u suprotnom i sljedeće dvije utakmice, protiv Venezie u gostima i Trenta kod kuće, izgubili na isti način.

Aco je ostavku podnio nakon razgovora s predsjednikom Ariom Costom i sportskim direktorom Walterom Magnificom.

- To su moji prijatelji, bivši suigrači i dugo smo razgovarali, čak su mi dali nekakav timeout od pet ili šest sati, ali sve im je bilo potpuno jasno, respektirali su moju odluku. U ovih 30 godina koliko se bavim trenerskim poslom rijetko mi se događala ovakva situacija da nije ostvarena potrebna kemija od samog početka sezone. Pogotovo jer smo prve dvije utakmice odigrali solidno, na Sardiniji izgubili s posljednjim košem. Nakon toga sam očekivao pomak, iskorak, no, dogodilo se suprotno i nije imalo smisla više zavlačiti klub.

Je li mu sada žao što se zbog posla u Pesaru povukao s izborničke funkcije u Brazilu?

- Ne, to nema veze jedno s drugim. U Brazilu sam proveo četiri godine, ciklus zaključio u Splitu gdje smo igrali dobro i završili bismo na Olimpijskim igrama da smo u finalu pogodili koji šut više, ali zbog smjene generacija koju smo počeli već u mom mandatu za Brazil je bolje da ih vodi domaći izbornik pa taj proces nastavlja njihov najbolji trener - zaključio je Aco Petrović.

Aco Petrović ekspresno podnio ostavku: Ovo mi se rijetko kad dogodilo u ovih 30 godina

Pun elana došao je ljetos Aco Petrović u Pesaro, klub koji se nekad zvao Scavolini i za koji je igrao u drugoj polovici osamdesetih. No, kao trener zadržao se vrlo kratko, tek nekoliko mjeseci ili pak - četiri prvenstvena kola u kojima je Pesaro dobio samo jednu od četiri utakmice...

- Jednostavno, s obzirom na sve što se događalo, pogreške u slaganju momčadi koje smo pokušali popraviti jednom izmjenom, kao i ograničenim budžetom zbog kojeg nove promjene nisu bile moguće, odlučio sam dati priliku ljudima u klubu da nekako poprave stvari dok još nije sve izgubljeno - govorio je Petrović na povratku iz Italije u Zagreb.

Pesaro je Legu otvorio tijesnim porazom u Sassariju, kod kuće prilično lako dobio Trst, da bi nakon teškog poraza kod Fortituda u Bologni izgubio i doma od Tortone. Opet, to ne znači da je sezona izgubljena, daleko od toga, pogotovo što se radi o momčadi kojoj je u Italiji maksimum nekakva sredina tablice.

- To stoji, rezultat odnosno omjer 1-3 nije tragičan, ali način na koji smo izgubili posljednje dvije utakmice, igrali bez inteziteta, smatram se najodgovornijim na to. Nisam osjetio momčadi, nisam osjetio da uživam puno povjerenje igrača i odlaskom sam želio pomoći klubu da ih se stavi pred zid jer bismo u suprotnom i sljedeće dvije utakmice, protiv Venezie u gostima i Trenta kod kuće, izgubili na isti način.

Aco je ostavku podnio nakon razgovora s predsjednikom Ariom Costom i sportskim direktorom Walterom Magnificom.

- To su moji prijatelji, bivši suigrači i dugo smo razgovarali, čak su mi dali nekakav timeout od pet ili šest sati, ali sve im je bilo potpuno jasno, respektirali su moju odluku. U ovih 30 godina koliko se bavim trenerskim poslom rijetko mi se događala ovakva situacija da nije ostvarena potrebna kemija od samog početka sezone. Pogotovo jer smo prve dvije utakmice odigrali solidno, na Sardiniji izgubili s posljednjim košem. Nakon toga sam očekivao pomak, iskorak, no, dogodilo se suprotno i nije imalo smisla više zavlačiti klub.

Je li mu sada žao što se zbog posla u Pesaru povukao s izborničke funkcije u Brazilu?

- Ne, to nema veze jedno s drugim. U Brazilu sam proveo četiri godine, ciklus zaključio u Splitu gdje smo igrali dobro i završili bismo na Olimpijskim igrama da smo u finalu pogodili koji šut više, ali zbog smjene generacija koju smo počeli već u mom mandatu za Brazil je bolje da ih vodi domaći izbornik pa taj proces nastavlja njihov najbolji trener - zaključio je Aco Petrović.
