Društvo za očuvanje šibenske baštine „Juraj Dalmatinac“ u okviru projekta „Šibenska kulturna baština“ započinje ovogodišnji ciklus predavanja u utorak, 27. veljače u 19.00 sati u Muzeju grada Šibenika predavanjem mr. sc. Josipa Ćuzele o crkvi sv. Nikole u Šibeniku.

Crkva sv. Nikole građena je u prvoj polovici 17. stoljeća. Generalni providur Alvize Zorzi koji je imao mandat između 1628. i 1630. godine, dozvolio je bratovštini sv. Nikole gradnju crkve uz „škver“. Na prostoru nekadašnjeg brodogradilišta bratovština sv. Nikole bila je vlasnik zemljišta još od 1608. godine. Prema sačuvanim podatcima ne znamo kada se crkva počela graditi, ali je sigurno da je već 1635. godine njena gradnja uznapredovala jer je bratovština sv. Nikole zaključila da za dogradnju crkve i za njezino uzdržavanje osigura dodatni prihod od doprinosa koji će plaćati brodovi koji izlaze iz luke, i to oni nosivosti do 300 stara pola dukata, a oni iznad 300 stara jedan dukat. Ovaj zaključak bratovštine potvrdio je gradski knez i generalni providur 1637. godine.

Uz brojne detalje o povijesti i gradnji crkve bit će prezentirane slike, grafike i nacrti, a predavanje će obuhvatiti paralelne gradnje u Šibeniku u to vrijeme, povijesne okolnosti, graditelje, specifične arhitektonske detalje i dr.

Josip Ćuzela diplomirao je povijest i povijest umjetnosti na Filozofskom fakultetu u Zadru. Od 1977. godine do umirovljenja 2014. godine radio je u Zavodu za zaštitu spomenika, a kada je zavod preustrojem postao dio Ministarstva kulture u Konzervatorskom odjelu u Šibeniku.

Završio je postdiplomski studij Zaštite i revitalizacije graditeljskog nasljeđa u Splitu pri Arhitektonskom fakultetu u Zagrebu. Tijekom postdiplomskog studija posebno ga je zainteresirala srednjovjekovna fortifikacijska arhitektura Šibenika, što je bila i tema njegova magistarskog rada. Istraživanje i obradu fortifikacijske arhitekture nastavlja i nakon magisterija te, uz srednjovjekovno razdoblje, širi interes na renesansne i barokne utvrde.

Neki su objekti, posebno tvrđava sv. Nikole, bili predmetom interesa nekih znanstvenika i istraživača povijesti grada, ali su radovi bili samo u zametku. Šibenske tvrđave sv. Mihovil, Barone i sv. Ivan bile su potpuno zapostavljene. Rezultate istraživanja i obrade fortifikacijske arhitekture prezentirao je u knjizi Šibenska fortifikacijska arhitektura koja je tiskana 2005. godine. Objava novih saznanja o tvrđavama ujedno je i početak sustavne obrade šibenskih tvrđava jer su se mnogi istraživači, ali i građani, zainteresirali za šibenske tvrđave.

Uz fortifikacijsku arhitekturu bavio se i konzervatorskim osnovama za urbanističke planove, obnovu objekata graditeljske baštine i svim drugim poslovima koji su u nadležnosti konzervatora. Objavio je više znanstvenih radova u Prilozima povijesti umjetnosti u Dalmaciji, Radovima instituta za povijest umjetnosti i u drugim izdanjima. Posebno je ponosan što je sudjelovao u pripremi dokumentacije za upis dvaju objekata na UNESCO-vu listu: Katedrala sv. Jakova i renesansna tvrđava sv. Nikole.

Društvo za očuvanje šibenske baštine „Juraj Dalmatinac“ u okviru projekta „Šibenska kulturna baština“ započinje ovogodišnji ciklus predavanja u utorak, 27. veljače u 19.00 sati u Muzeju grada Šibenika predavanjem mr. sc. Josipa Ćuzele o crkvi sv. Nikole u Šibeniku.

Crkva sv. Nikole građena je u prvoj polovici 17. stoljeća. Generalni providur Alvize Zorzi koji je imao mandat između 1628. i 1630. godine, dozvolio je bratovštini sv. Nikole gradnju crkve uz „škver“. Na prostoru nekadašnjeg brodogradilišta bratovština sv. Nikole bila je vlasnik zemljišta još od 1608. godine. Prema sačuvanim podatcima ne znamo kada se crkva počela graditi, ali je sigurno da je već 1635. godine njena gradnja uznapredovala jer je bratovština sv. Nikole zaključila da za dogradnju crkve i za njezino uzdržavanje osigura dodatni prihod od doprinosa koji će plaćati brodovi koji izlaze iz luke, i to oni nosivosti do 300 stara pola dukata, a oni iznad 300 stara jedan dukat. Ovaj zaključak bratovštine potvrdio je gradski knez i generalni providur 1637. godine.

Uz brojne detalje o povijesti i gradnji crkve bit će prezentirane slike, grafike i nacrti, a predavanje će obuhvatiti paralelne gradnje u Šibeniku u to vrijeme, povijesne okolnosti, graditelje, specifične arhitektonske detalje i dr.

Josip Ćuzela diplomirao je povijest i povijest umjetnosti na Filozofskom fakultetu u Zadru. Od 1977. godine do umirovljenja 2014. godine radio je u Zavodu za zaštitu spomenika, a kada je zavod preustrojem postao dio Ministarstva kulture u Konzervatorskom odjelu u Šibeniku.

Završio je postdiplomski studij Zaštite i revitalizacije graditeljskog nasljeđa u Splitu pri Arhitektonskom fakultetu u Zagrebu. Tijekom postdiplomskog studija posebno ga je zainteresirala srednjovjekovna fortifikacijska arhitektura Šibenika, što je bila i tema njegova magistarskog rada. Istraživanje i obradu fortifikacijske arhitekture nastavlja i nakon magisterija te, uz srednjovjekovno razdoblje, širi interes na renesansne i barokne utvrde.

Neki su objekti, posebno tvrđava sv. Nikole, bili predmetom interesa nekih znanstvenika i istraživača povijesti grada, ali su radovi bili samo u zametku. Šibenske tvrđave sv. Mihovil, Barone i sv. Ivan bile su potpuno zapostavljene. Rezultate istraživanja i obrade fortifikacijske arhitekture prezentirao je u knjizi Šibenska fortifikacijska arhitektura koja je tiskana 2005. godine. Objava novih saznanja o tvrđavama ujedno je i početak sustavne obrade šibenskih tvrđava jer su se mnogi istraživači, ali i građani, zainteresirali za šibenske tvrđave.

Uz fortifikacijsku arhitekturu bavio se i konzervatorskim osnovama za urbanističke planove, obnovu objekata graditeljske baštine i svim drugim poslovima koji su u nadležnosti konzervatora. Objavio je više znanstvenih radova u Prilozima povijesti umjetnosti u Dalmaciji, Radovima instituta za povijest umjetnosti i u drugim izdanjima. Posebno je ponosan što je sudjelovao u pripremi dokumentacije za upis dvaju objekata na UNESCO-vu listu: Katedrala sv. Jakova i renesansna tvrđava sv. Nikole.

Društvo za očuvanje šibenske baštine „Juraj Dalmatinac“ u okviru projekta „Šibenska kulturna baština“ započinje ovogodišnji ciklus predavanja u utorak, 27. veljače u 19.00 sati u Muzeju grada Šibenika predavanjem mr. sc. Josipa Ćuzele o crkvi sv. Nikole u Šibeniku.

Crkva sv. Nikole građena je u prvoj polovici 17. stoljeća. Generalni providur Alvize Zorzi koji je imao mandat između 1628. i 1630. godine, dozvolio je bratovštini sv. Nikole gradnju crkve uz „škver“. Na prostoru nekadašnjeg brodogradilišta bratovština sv. Nikole bila je vlasnik zemljišta još od 1608. godine. Prema sačuvanim podatcima ne znamo kada se crkva počela graditi, ali je sigurno da je već 1635. godine njena gradnja uznapredovala jer je bratovština sv.
