Više od 150 predstavnika organizacija u pomorskoj industriji pozvalo je vlade i svjetske čelnike da se obvežu na dekarbonizaciju pomorske industrije do 2050. godine, piše Offshore energy.

Inicijativu Call to Action razvila je koalicija Getting to Zero, partnerstvo između Svjetskog pomorskog foruma, Svjetskog ekonomskog foruma i organizacije Friends of Ocean Action, prenosi Pomorac.hr.

Potpisnici uključuju članove iz cijele pomorske industrije, uključujući brodarstvo, čartere, financije, luke i proizvodnju goriva.

Inicijativa će biti dostavljena svjetskim vladama u studenom 2021. godine uoči Konferencije Ujedinjenih naroda o klimatskim promjenama.

Pomorska industrija mora se uskladiti s ciljem Pariškog sporazuma i u potpunosti se prebaciti na izvore energije s nultom stopom emisije štetnih plinova do 2050. godine. Privatni sektor predvodi i poduzima konkretne radnje kako bi plovila s nultim emisijama i ekološki prihvatljiva goriva postala standardom do 2030. godine. Za postizanje naših ambicija za 2030. i 2050. godinu sada je potrebno djelovanje vlada diljem svijeta, istaknuli su čelnici industrije.

Potpisnici inicijative pozvali su vlade da se obvežu da će donijeti odluke koje će dovesti do dekarbonizacije industrije do 2050. godine. Također su ih pozvali da podrže projekte nulte emisije štetnih plinova djelovanjem na nacionalnoj razini te donesu političke mjere kojima će do 2030. godine nulte emisije postati standardom u pomorskoj industriji.

Međunarodna pomorska organizacija (IMO) postavila je 2018. godine cilj u sklopu kojega će kompanije do 2050. godine smanjiti emisije stakleničkih plinova za najmanje 50 posto u odnosu na 2008. godinu.

Za čelnike u pomorskoj industriji ovo je bio važan prvi korak, ali s obzirom na tehnološki razvoj i najnovija saznanja o klimatskim promjenama, sada je vrijeme za postavljanje jasnog cilja da pomorska industrija do 2050. godine u potpunosti prijeđe na izvore energije s nultim stopama emisije, dodali su članovi inicijative.

Pomorski čelnici koji su potpisali inicijativu uključuju kompanije kao što su A.P. Moller – Maersk, MSC, Hapag Lloyd, NYK Line, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL), X-Press Feeders, naftne kompanije BP i Royal Dutch Shell, najveće luke poput luka u Rotterdamu, Londonu, Antwerpenu, Göteborgu, te Uprava Panamskog kanala.

Prošlog tjedna, britanska naftna kompanija BP i japanski NYK Line potpisali su memorandum o razumijevanju. Surađivat će na budućim rješenjima za gorivo i transport kako bi se provela dekarbonizacija u industrijskim sektorima.

Podsjetimo, proces dekarbonizacije snažno je podržao i Søren Skou, izvršni direktor Maerska koji je nedavno pozvao UN da odredi krajnji datum uporabe fosilnih goriva u pomorskoj industriji.

Više od 150 predstavnika organizacija u pomorskoj industriji pozvalo je vlade i svjetske čelnike da se obvežu na dekarbonizaciju pomorske industrije do 2050. godine, piše Offshore energy.

Inicijativu Call to Action razvila je koalicija Getting to Zero, partnerstvo između Svjetskog pomorskog foruma, Svjetskog ekonomskog foruma i organizacije Friends of Ocean Action, prenosi Pomorac.hr.

Potpisnici uključuju članove iz cijele pomorske industrije, uključujući brodarstvo, čartere, financije, luke i proizvodnju goriva.

Inicijativa će biti dostavljena svjetskim vladama u studenom 2021. godine uoči Konferencije Ujedinjenih naroda o klimatskim promjenama.

Pomorska industrija mora se uskladiti s ciljem Pariškog sporazuma i u potpunosti se prebaciti na izvore energije s nultom stopom emisije štetnih plinova do 2050. godine. Privatni sektor predvodi i poduzima konkretne radnje kako bi plovila s nultim emisijama i ekološki prihvatljiva goriva postala standardom do 2030. godine. Za postizanje naših ambicija za 2030. i 2050. godinu sada je potrebno djelovanje vlada diljem svijeta, istaknuli su čelnici industrije.

Potpisnici inicijative pozvali su vlade da se obvežu da će donijeti odluke koje će dovesti do dekarbonizacije industrije do 2050. godine. Također su ih pozvali da podrže projekte nulte emisije štetnih plinova djelovanjem na nacionalnoj razini te donesu političke mjere kojima će do 2030. godine nulte emisije postati standardom u pomorskoj industriji.

Međunarodna pomorska organizacija (IMO) postavila je 2018. godine cilj u sklopu kojega će kompanije do 2050. godine smanjiti emisije stakleničkih plinova za najmanje 50 posto u odnosu na 2008. godinu.

Za čelnike u pomorskoj industriji ovo je bio važan prvi korak, ali s obzirom na tehnološki razvoj i najnovija saznanja o klimatskim promjenama, sada je vrijeme za postavljanje jasnog cilja da pomorska industrija do 2050. godine u potpunosti prijeđe na izvore energije s nultim stopama emisije, dodali su članovi inicijative.

Pomorski čelnici koji su potpisali inicijativu uključuju kompanije kao što su A.P. Moller – Maersk, MSC, Hapag Lloyd, NYK Line, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL), X-Press Feeders, naftne kompanije BP i Royal Dutch Shell, najveće luke poput luka u Rotterdamu, Londonu, Antwerpenu, Göteborgu, te Uprava Panamskog kanala.

Podsjetimo, proces dekarbonizacije snažno je podržao i Søren Skou, izvršni direktor Maerska koji je nedavno pozvao UN da odredi krajnji datum uporabe fosilnih goriva u pomorskoj industriji.

Više od 150 predstavnika organizacija u pomorskoj industriji pozvalo je vlade i svjetske čelnike da se obvežu na dekarbonizaciju pomorske industrije do 2050. godine, piše Offshore energy.

Inicijativu Call to Action razvila je koalicija Getting to Zero, partnerstvo između Svjetskog pomorskog foruma, Svjetskog ekonomskog foruma i organizacije Friends of Ocean Action, prenosi Pomorac.hr.

Potpisnici uključuju članove iz cijele pomorske industrije, uključujući brodarstvo, čartere, financije, luke i proizvodnju goriva.

Inicijativa će biti dostavljena svjetskim vladama u studenom 2021. godine uoči Konferencije Ujedinjenih naroda o klimatskim promjenama.

Pomorska industrija mora se uskladiti s ciljem Pariškog sporazuma i u potpunosti se prebaciti na izvore energije s nultom stopom emisije štetnih plinova do 2050. godine. Privatni sektor predvodi i poduzima konkretne radnje kako bi plovila s nultim emisijama i ekološki prihvatljiva goriva postala standardom do 2030. godine. Za postizanje naših ambicija za 2030. i 2050. godinu sada je potrebno djelovanje vlada diljem svijeta, istaknuli su čelnici industrije.

Potpisnici inicijative pozvali su vlade da se obvežu da će donijeti odluke koje će dovesti do dekarbonizacije industrije do 2050. godine. Također su ih pozvali da podrže projekte nulte emisije štetnih plinova djelovanjem na nacionalnoj razini te donesu političke mjere kojima će do 2030. godine nulte emisije postati standardom u pomorskoj industriji.

Međunarodna pomorska organizacija (IMO) postavila je 2018. godine cilj u sklopu kojega će kompanije do 2050. godine smanjiti emisije stakleničkih plinova za najmanje 50 posto u odnosu na 2008. godinu.

Za čelnike u pomorskoj industriji ovo je bio važan prvi korak, ali s obzirom na tehnološki razvoj i najnovija saznanja o klimatskim promjenama, sada je vrijeme za postavljanje jasnog cilja da pomorska industrija do 2050. godine u potpunosti prijeđe na izvore energije s nultim stopama emisije, dodali su članovi inicijative.

Pomorski čelnici koji su potpisali inicijativu uključuju kompanije kao što su A.P. Moller – Maersk, MSC, Hapag Lloyd, NYK Line, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL), X-Press Feeders, naftne kompanije BP i Royal Dutch Shell, najveće luke poput luka u Rotterdamu, Londonu, Antwerpenu, Göteborgu, te Uprava Panamskog kanala.
