Petero ljudi poginulo je u subotu na Novom Zelandu kada se čamac s 11 ljudi prevrnuo kod Kaikoure, obalnoga grada na Južnom otoku, priopćila je policija.

Radio New Zealand (RNZ) izvijestio je da gradonačelnik Kaikoure Craig Mackle vjeruje da je kit prevrnuo čamac.

Međutim, policija nije potvrdila uzrok nesreće.

"Ovo je tragičan događaj koji utječe na mnoge živote, ne samo na obitelji stradalih i njihove voljene", rekao je Mackle na konferenciji za novinare, prenosi RNZ.

"Zatvorili smo luku kako bi mogli nastaviti s radom", dodao je.

Točne okolnosti incidenta bit će predmet istrage u koju će se uključiti više agencija, rekao je zapovjednik tamošnje policije Matt Boyce.

Policija još identificira žrtve, a imena nisu objavljena.

Šest preživjelih prevezeno je u zdravstveni centar u Kaikouri, a jedan je iz opreza prebačen u bolnicu u Christchurch, rekla je policija.

Petero ljudi poginulo je u subotu na Novom Zelandu kada se čamac s 11 ljudi prevrnuo kod Kaikoure, obalnoga grada na Južnom otoku, priopćila je policija.

Radio New Zealand (RNZ) izvijestio je da gradonačelnik Kaikoure Craig Mackle vjeruje da je kit prevrnuo čamac.

Međutim, policija nije potvrdila uzrok nesreće.

"Ovo je tragičan događaj koji utječe na mnoge živote, ne samo na obitelji stradalih i njihove voljene", rekao je Mackle na konferenciji za novinare, prenosi RNZ.

"Zatvorili smo luku kako bi mogli nastaviti s radom", dodao je.

Točne okolnosti incidenta bit će predmet istrage u koju će se uključiti više agencija, rekao je zapovjednik tamošnje policije Matt Boyce.

Policija još identificira žrtve, a imena nisu objavljena.

Šest preživjelih prevezeno je u zdravstveni centar u Kaikouri, a jedan je iz opreza prebačen u bolnicu u Christchurch, rekla je policija.

Petero ljudi poginulo je u subotu na Novom Zelandu kada se čamac s 11 ljudi prevrnuo kod Kaikoure, obalnoga grada na Južnom otoku, priopćila je policija.

Radio New Zealand (RNZ) izvijestio je da gradonačelnik Kaikoure Craig Mackle vjeruje da je kit prevrnuo čamac.

Međutim, policija nije potvrdila uzrok nesreće.

"Ovo je tragičan događaj koji utječe na mnoge živote, ne samo na obitelji stradalih i njihove voljene", rekao je Mackle na konferenciji za novinare, prenosi RNZ.

"Zatvorili smo luku kako bi mogli nastaviti s radom", dodao je.

Točne okolnosti incidenta bit će predmet istrage u koju će se uključiti više agencija, rekao je zapovjednik tamošnje policije Matt Boyce.

Policija još identificira žrtve, a imena nisu objavljena.

Šest preživjelih prevezeno je u zdravstveni centar u Kaikouri, a jedan je iz opreza prebačen u bolnicu u Christchurch, rekla je policija.
