Eurozastupnici su utorak odobrili nova pravila EU-a za smanjenje emisije stakleničkih plinova iz prometa koja, među ostalim, predviđaju i korištenje "zelenijih" brodskih goriva.

Nova pravila dio su paketa „Spremni za 55 %”, odnosno plana Unije za smanjenje emisija stakleničkih plinova do 2030. za najmanje 55 % u usporedbi s razinama iz 1990., a cilj im je dekarbonizacija prometa.

Parlament je, naime, donio pravila o čišćim brodskim gorivima. Tijekom pregovora s Vijećem zastupnici su osigurali da će brodovi morati postupno smanjivati emisije stakleničkih plinova, i to smanjenjem njihova udjela u energiji koju upotrebljavaju, za 2 % (u odnosu na razine iz 2020.) počevši od 2025. pa do 80 % od 2050. To će se odnositi na brodove teže od 5000 bruto tona, koji su u načelu odgovorni za 90 % emisija CO2, te na svu energiju koja se upotrebljava na brodu u europskim lukama ili između njih, kao i na 50 % energije upotrijebljene tijekom plovidbe ako je polazišna ili odredišna luka izvan EU-a ili u najudaljenijim područjima Unije.

Kako bi se znatno smanjilo onečišćenje zraka u lukama, od 2030. teretni i putnički brodovi morat će koristiti kopnene izvore da zadovolje sve potrebe za električnom energijom dok su privezani u pristaništu u velikim lukama EU-a. Zahvaljujući Parlamentu utvrđen je i cilj upotrebe 2 % obnovljivih goriva od 2034. ako Komisija u izvješću utvrdi da je 2031. udio obnovljivih goriva nebiološkog podrijetla u strukturi izvora energije iznosio manje od 1 %.

Izvjestitelj za infrastrukturu za alternativna goriva Petar Vitanov (S&D, Bugarska) rekao je:

- Upotrebom održivijih, obnovljivih i učinkovitijih energetskih rješenja u prometnom sektoru pridonijet će se smanjenju emisija stakleničkih plinova i onečišćenja zraka, poboljšanju kvalitete života građana i stvaranju novih visokokvalitetnih radnih mjesta. Nova pravila također će pomoći uvođenju infrastrukture za punjenje koja bi trebala postati jednostavna kao na tradicionalnim benzinskim postajama.

Izvjestitelj za održiva brodska goriva Jörgen Warborn (EPP, Švedska) dodao je:

- Novim pravilima utvrđuje se daleko najambiciozniji put na svijetu prema dekarbonizaciji pomorskog prometa. Time bi trebalo pokriti 90 % emisija CO2 iz pomorskog prometa istovremeno štiteći male brodovlasnike i luke od troškova i administrativnog opterećenja. Zahvaljujući ovim pravilima Europa predvodi u stvaranju potražnje za održivim gorivima i poticanju inovacija.

Prijedlog uredbe o infrastrukturi za alternativna goriva usvojen je s 514 glasova za, 52 protiv i 74 suzdržana, dok je Prijedlog uredbe o održivim brodskim gorivima dobio 555 glasova za, 48 protiv i 25 suzdržanih, izvijestio je Europski parlament. Kad ih Vijeće odobri, Uredba o infrastrukturi za alternativna goriva počet će se primjenjivati šest mjeseci nakon što stupi na snagu, dok će se Uredba o održivim brodskim gorivima primjenjivati od 1. siječnja 2025. godine.

Eurozastupnici su utorak odobrili nova pravila EU-a za smanjenje emisije stakleničkih plinova iz prometa koja, među ostalim, predviđaju i korištenje "zelenijih" brodskih goriva.

Nova pravila dio su paketa „Spremni za 55 %”, odnosno plana Unije za smanjenje emisija stakleničkih plinova do 2030. za najmanje 55 % u usporedbi s razinama iz 1990., a cilj im je dekarbonizacija prometa.

Parlament je, naime, donio pravila o čišćim brodskim gorivima. Tijekom pregovora s Vijećem zastupnici su osigurali da će brodovi morati postupno smanjivati emisije stakleničkih plinova, i to smanjenjem njihova udjela u energiji koju upotrebljavaju, za 2 % (u odnosu na razine iz 2020.) počevši od 2025. pa do 80 % od 2050. To će se odnositi na brodove teže od 5000 bruto tona, koji su u načelu odgovorni za 90 % emisija CO2, te na svu energiju koja se upotrebljava na brodu u europskim lukama ili između njih, kao i na 50 % energije upotrijebljene tijekom plovidbe ako je polazišna ili odredišna luka izvan EU-a ili u najudaljenijim područjima Unije.

Kako bi se znatno smanjilo onečišćenje zraka u lukama, od 2030. teretni i putnički brodovi morat će koristiti kopnene izvore da zadovolje sve potrebe za električnom energijom dok su privezani u pristaništu u velikim lukama EU-a. Zahvaljujući Parlamentu utvrđen je i cilj upotrebe 2 % obnovljivih goriva od 2034. ako Komisija u izvješću utvrdi da je 2031. udio obnovljivih goriva nebiološkog podrijetla u strukturi izvora energije iznosio manje od 1 %.

- Upotrebom održivijih, obnovljivih i učinkovitijih energetskih rješenja u prometnom sektoru pridonijet će se smanjenju emisija stakleničkih plinova i onečišćenja zraka, poboljšanju kvalitete života građana i stvaranju novih visokokvalitetnih radnih mjesta. Nova pravila također će pomoći uvođenju infrastrukture za punjenje koja bi trebala postati jednostavna kao na tradicionalnim benzinskim postajama.

- Novim pravilima utvrđuje se daleko najambiciozniji put na svijetu prema dekarbonizaciji pomorskog prometa. Time bi trebalo pokriti 90 % emisija CO2 iz pomorskog prometa istovremeno štiteći male brodovlasnike i luke od troškova i administrativnog opterećenja. Zahvaljujući ovim pravilima Europa predvodi u stvaranju potražnje za održivim gorivima i poticanju inovacija.

Prijedlog uredbe o infrastrukturi za alternativna goriva usvojen je s 514 glasova za, 52 protiv i 74 suzdržana, dok je Prijedlog uredbe o održivim brodskim gorivima dobio 555 glasova za, 48 protiv i 25 suzdržanih, izvijestio je Europski parlament. Kad ih Vijeće odobri, Uredba o infrastrukturi za alternativna goriva počet će se primjenjivati šest mjeseci nakon što stupi na snagu, dok će se Uredba o održivim brodskim gorivima primjenjivati od 1. siječnja 2025. godine.

Eurozastupnici su utorak odobrili nova pravila EU-a za smanjenje emisije stakleničkih plinova iz prometa koja, među ostalim, predviđaju i korištenje "zelenijih" brodskih goriva.

Nova pravila dio su paketa „Spremni za 55 %”, odnosno plana Unije za smanjenje emisija stakleničkih plinova do 2030. za najmanje 55 % u usporedbi s razinama iz 1990., a cilj im je dekarbonizacija prometa.

Parlament je, naime, donio pravila o čišćim brodskim gorivima. Tijekom pregovora s Vijećem zastupnici su osigurali da će brodovi morati postupno smanjivati emisije stakleničkih plinova, i to smanjenjem njihova udjela u energiji koju upotrebljavaju, za 2 % (u odnosu na razine iz 2020.) počevši od 2025. pa do 80 % od 2050. To će se odnositi na brodove teže od 5000 bruto tona, koji su u načelu odgovorni za 90 % emisija CO2, te na svu energiju koja se upotrebljava na brodu u europskim lukama ili između njih, kao i na 50 % energije upotrijebljene tijekom plovidbe ako je polazišna ili odredišna luka izvan EU-a ili u najudaljenijim područjima Unije.

Kako bi se znatno smanjilo onečišćenje zraka u lukama, od 2030. teretni i putnički brodovi morat će koristiti kopnene izvore da zadovolje sve potrebe za električnom energijom dok su privezani u pristaništu u velikim lukama EU-a. Zahvaljujući Parlamentu utvrđen je i cilj upotrebe 2 % obnovljivih goriva od 2034. ako Komisija u izvješću utvrdi da je 2031. udio obnovljivih goriva nebiološkog podrijetla u strukturi izvora energije iznosio manje od 1 %.
