U Finskoj se gradi do sada najveći svjetski brod za krstarenje, Icon of the Seas, i to za Royal Caribbean International.
Divovski kruzer imat će oko šest posto veći volumen od trenutačno najvećeg broda za krstarenje na svijetu, Wonder of the Seas tvrtke Royal Caribbean koji je zaplovio ovog proljeća. Prethodnik ima kapacitet za 5610 putnika, a Icon of the Seas osmišljen za obiteljska krstarenja, imat će putnički kapacitet od 7600 ljudi s dodatnih 2350 članova posade. Pravi grad na moru, dugačak je 362, a visok 72 metra.
"Icon of the Seas vrhunski je brod koji dovodi u pitanje know-how našeg brodogradilišta i podiže cjelokupnu finsku brodograđevnu industriju na novu razinu", rekao je Tim Meyer, izvršni direktor tvrtke Meyer Turku. "Ponosni smo na ovaj projekt u suradnji s kupcem i svim našim partnerskim tvrtkama. Ovo je također značajan korak za održivi razvoj brodograđevne industrije."

Primopredaja kupcu očekuje se krajem iduće godine, a prvo putovanje u planu je za siječanj 2024. iz Miamija.
Među sadržajima koje će brodogradilište dovršiti je 2.805 kabina za putnike, kao i javni prostori koji će biti raspoređeni u osam sektora, u rasponu od zona za zabavu do dijela posvećenog djeci, te apartmanske zone za luksuzni smještaj. Zabava za putnike uključivat će novi jedinstveni kupolasti prostor na prednjem dijelu broda, kao i šest vodenih tobogana, sedam bazena i devet whirlpoola. Kruzer će imati najveći vodeni park na moru te ukupno 40 barova i restorana.
Pogon mu je šest LNG motora koji će dati 67.500 KW energije za pokretanje broda. Kažu da će imati i napredne sustave za pročišćavanje otpadnih voda, dok se Royal Caribbean obvezuje na recikliranje otpada i njegovo ponovno korištenje kao energije.

U Finskoj se gradi do sada najveći svjetski brod za krstarenje, Icon of the Seas, i to za Royal Caribbean International.
Divovski kruzer imat će oko šest posto veći volumen od trenutačno najvećeg broda za krstarenje na svijetu, Wonder of the Seas tvrtke Royal Caribbean koji je zaplovio ovog proljeća. Prethodnik ima kapacitet za 5610 putnika, a Icon of the Seas osmišljen za obiteljska krstarenja, imat će putnički kapacitet od 7600 ljudi s dodatnih 2350 članova posade. Pravi grad na moru, dugačak je 362, a visok 72 metra.
"Icon of the Seas vrhunski je brod koji dovodi u pitanje know-how našeg brodogradilišta i podiže cjelokupnu finsku brodograđevnu industriju na novu razinu", rekao je Tim Meyer, izvršni direktor tvrtke Meyer Turku. "Ponosni smo na ovaj projekt u suradnji s kupcem i svim našim partnerskim tvrtkama. Ovo je također značajan korak za održivi razvoj brodograđevne industrije."

Primopredaja kupcu očekuje se krajem iduće godine, a prvo putovanje u planu je za siječanj 2024. iz Miamija.
Među sadržajima koje će brodogradilište dovršiti je 2.805 kabina za putnike, kao i javni prostori koji će biti raspoređeni u osam sektora, u rasponu od zona za zabavu do dijela posvećenog djeci, te apartmanske zone za luksuzni smještaj. Zabava za putnike uključivat će novi jedinstveni kupolasti prostor na prednjem dijelu broda, kao i šest vodenih tobogana, sedam bazena i devet whirlpoola. Kruzer će imati najveći vodeni park na moru te ukupno 40 barova i restorana.
Pogon mu je šest LNG motora koji će dati 67.500 KW energije za pokretanje broda. Kažu da će imati i napredne sustave za pročišćavanje otpadnih voda, dok se Royal Caribbean obvezuje na recikliranje otpada i njegovo ponovno korištenje kao energije.
