Nakon dvije iznimno profitabilne godine za brodare u kontejnerskom sektoru, tržište se vraća na normalne, “post-pandemijske razine”, izvijestio je Sea-Intelligence.

Naime, i dok je četvrti kvartal 2022. godine dao prve uvide u to kako bi vraćanje tržišta u normalu moglo izgledati, prvi kvartal 2023. bio je prvo razdoblje u kojem su brodari zaista osjetili pad operativne dobiti.

Trend se nastavio i tijekom drugog kvartala ove godine, kada je ukupna operativna dobit brodara (EBIT – Earnings Before Interest and Taxes) pala za čak 90% u odnosu na isto razdoblje lani, na nešto više od 3 milijarde američkih dolara.

Dok je većina brodara i dalje poslovala pozitivno, Sea-Intelligence izvještava kako su ZIM i Wan Hai ponovno zabilježili gubitke. Dok je ZIM već imao problema s profitabilnošću u prethodnim kvartalima tijekom posljednjeg desetljeća, ovo je prvi put od 2012. godine da Wan Hai bilježi gubitke, prenosi Pomorac.hr.

“Nijedna od ovih brodarskih kompanija nije uspjela održati razine svoje operativne dobiti po TEU jedinici (EBIT/TEU) u 2023. godini, pri čemu je najveću dobit najveći u drugom kvartalu 2023. imao OOCL, koji je imao 305 USD po TEU jedinici. Usporedimo to s prošlom godinom, kada je najmanji EBIT po TEU jedinici u drugom kvartalu 2022. iznosio 1.377 USD/TEU”, navode analitičari Sea-Intelligence-a.

Primjerice, brodari kao što su Maersk s dobiti od 207 USD/TEU, Hapag-Lloyd s 298 USD/TEU i ONE sa 137 USD/TEU, zabilježili su znatno manju operativnu dobit po TEU, i to u rasponu od 130 do 300 USD/TEU. S druge strane, ZIM bilježi negativan EBIT po TEU od -195 USD po TEU jedinici. Drugim riječima, ZIM je izgubio 195 USD za svaku prevezenu TEU jedinicu u drugom kvartalu 2023. godine.

Glavni razlog za pad profitabilnosti je smanjenje stopa vozarina, koje su pale za 48% do 67%, prema podacima kompanija koje javno objavljuju ove podatke. Pad apsolutnih količina prevezenih kontejnera također je igrao ulogu u padu profitabilnosti.

“Međutim, ono što je iznenađujuće je da je ZIM, jedna od samo dvije kompanije koje su zabilježile gubitak operativne dobiti, povećao obujam prevezenih kontejnera za 0,5% globalno, i za otprilike 13% na Transpacifičkim rutama te rutama između Azije i Europe”, navode iz Sea-Intelligence-a.

Naime, i dok je četvrti kvartal 2022. godine dao prve uvide u to kako bi vraćanje tržišta u normalu moglo izgledati, prvi kvartal 2023. bio je prvo razdoblje u kojem su brodari zaista osjetili pad operativne dobiti.

Trend se nastavio i tijekom drugog kvartala ove godine, kada je ukupna operativna dobit brodara (EBIT – Earnings Before Interest and Taxes) pala za čak 90% u odnosu na isto razdoblje lani, na nešto više od 3 milijarde američkih dolara.

Dok je većina brodara i dalje poslovala pozitivno, Sea-Intelligence izvještava kako su ZIM i Wan Hai ponovno zabilježili gubitke. Dok je ZIM već imao problema s profitabilnošću u prethodnim kvartalima tijekom posljednjeg desetljeća, ovo je prvi put od 2012. godine da Wan Hai bilježi gubitke, prenosi Pomorac.hr.

“Nijedna od ovih brodarskih kompanija nije uspjela održati razine svoje operativne dobiti po TEU jedinici (EBIT/TEU) u 2023. godini, pri čemu je najveću dobit najveći u drugom kvartalu 2023. imao OOCL, koji je imao 305 USD po TEU jedinici. Usporedimo to s prošlom godinom, kada je najmanji EBIT po TEU jedinici u drugom kvartalu 2022. iznosio 1.377 USD/TEU”, navode analitičari Sea-Intelligence-a.

Primjerice, brodari kao što su Maersk s dobiti od 207 USD/TEU, Hapag-Lloyd s 298 USD/TEU i ONE sa 137 USD/TEU, zabilježili su znatno manju operativnu dobit po TEU, i to u rasponu od 130 do 300 USD/TEU. S druge strane, ZIM bilježi negativan EBIT po TEU od -195 USD po TEU jedinici. Drugim riječima, ZIM je izgubio 195 USD za svaku prevezenu TEU jedinicu u drugom kvartalu 2023. godine.

Glavni razlog za pad profitabilnosti je smanjenje stopa vozarina, koje su pale za 48% do 67%, prema podacima kompanija koje javno objavljuju ove podatke. Pad apsolutnih količina prevezenih kontejnera također je igrao ulogu u padu profitabilnosti.

“Međutim, ono što je iznenađujuće je da je ZIM, jedna od samo dvije kompanije koje su zabilježile gubitak operativne dobiti, povećao obujam prevezenih kontejnera za 0,5% globalno, i za otprilike 13% na Transpacifičkim rutama te rutama između Azije i Europe”, navode iz Sea-Intelligence-a.

Nakon dvije iznimno profitabilne godine za brodare u kontejnerskom sektoru, tržište se vraća na normalne, “post-pandemijske razine”, izvijestio je Sea-Intelligence.
