Županijska lučka uprava uređuje obalni pojas u Marini, a projekt obuhvaća i prostor uz utvrđeno naselje i kulu koja je simbol tog općinskog središta.

Budući da je povijesna cjelina naselja zaštićena kao kulturno dobro, bilo je potrebno obaviti arheološka istraživanja oko kule. Nositelj istraživanja koja su u tijeku je splitska tvrtka "Kaducej", a stručni voditelji su arheolozi Josip Burmaz iz "Kaduceja" i Tomislav Jerončić iz tvrtke "Arheorad".

Poznato je da se Marina nalazi u dnu dubokog zaljeva u kojem su potvrđena nalazišta još iz najranijih povijesnih razdoblja. Krajem 15. stoljeća biskup Franjo Marcel dobio je odobrenje od trogirskog kneza da sagradi utvrdu zbog prisutne opasnosti od provale Osmanlija.

Središnji dio pravokutnog naselja koje se nalazilo uz obalu mora opasan je zidinama s kulama. Sjeveroistočno od utvrđenog naselja - citadele izgrađen je visoki Kaštel koji je u potpunosti bio okružen morem, a pristupalo mu se preko mosta.

Sredinom 17. stoljeća, tijekom opsade Marine, tada poznate pod imenom Bosiljina, u vrijeme Kandijskog rata između Mletaka i Osmanlija, utvrda je bila znatno oštećena. Završetkom rata omogućena je i obnova kule koju svjedoče natpisi na nadvratnicima portala s imenom biskupa Vidovića i 1717. godinom.

Krajem 18. stoljeća Bosiljina se još uvijek spominje kao biskupski feud. Vjerojatno početkom 20. stoljeća obavljeno je proširenje rive kada je nasut kanal između naselja i kule, čime su zatrpani i ostaci mosta. Tijekom Drugoga svjetskog rata talijanski okupatori koristili su kulu kao uporište i magazin, a tada taj baštinski objekt stradava od požara i eksplozija.

Temeljita obnova s izvođenjem armiranobetonske konstrukcije unutar same kule obavljena je krajem 60-ih godina 20. stoljeća na inicijativu Poljoprivredne zadruge "Marina".

- Budući da su istraživanja u tijeku, još smo oprezni s detaljnijom interpretacijom dosad pronađenih nepokretnih arheoloških nalaza, iako je već sada jasno da su ostaci zidanih struktura nesumnjivo pripadali konstrukciji mosta. Pretpostavlja se da ostaci zidova i njihovih temelja predstavljaju više faza izgradnje, dogradnje i obnove kule, odnosno samog mosta koji je povezivao kulu i citadelu (na mjestu gdje se danas nalazi prodavaonica "Studenac", op.a.).

Nadamo se da ćemo prikupiti što veću količinu podataka vezanih uz gradnju i izgled mosta u cilju što jasnije interpretacije i valorizacije prostora između kule i naselja, koja će omogućiti dovršetak uređenja obalne zone. Daljnje mjere postupanja prema ovom zaštićenom kulturnom dobru će donijeti Konzervatorski odjel u Trogiru. Tijek istraživanja dodatno otežava činjenica da, zbog položaja uz samu obalu, morska voda izmjenama plime i oseke, prodire do visine sačuvanih zidanih ostataka mosta - ističe arheolog Jerončić.

Županijska lučka uprava uređuje obalni pojas u Marini, a projekt obuhvaća i prostor uz utvrđeno naselje i kulu koja je simbol tog općinskog središta.

Budući da je povijesna cjelina naselja zaštićena kao kulturno dobro, bilo je potrebno obaviti arheološka istraživanja oko kule. Nositelj istraživanja koja su u tijeku je splitska tvrtka "Kaducej", a stručni voditelji su arheolozi Josip Burmaz iz "Kaduceja" i Tomislav Jerončić iz tvrtke "Arheorad".

Poznato je da se Marina nalazi u dnu dubokog zaljeva u kojem su potvrđena nalazišta još iz najranijih povijesnih razdoblja. Krajem 15. stoljeća biskup Franjo Marcel dobio je odobrenje od trogirskog kneza da sagradi utvrdu zbog prisutne opasnosti od provale Osmanlija.

Središnji dio pravokutnog naselja koje se nalazilo uz obalu mora opasan je zidinama s kulama. Sjeveroistočno od utvrđenog naselja - citadele izgrađen je visoki Kaštel koji je u potpunosti bio okružen morem, a pristupalo mu se preko mosta.

Sredinom 17. stoljeća, tijekom opsade Marine, tada poznate pod imenom Bosiljina, u vrijeme Kandijskog rata između Mletaka i Osmanlija, utvrda je bila znatno oštećena. Završetkom rata omogućena je i obnova kule koju svjedoče natpisi na nadvratnicima portala s imenom biskupa Vidovića i 1717. godinom.

Krajem 18. stoljeća Bosiljina se još uvijek spominje kao biskupski feud. Vjerojatno početkom 20. stoljeća obavljeno je proširenje rive kada je nasut kanal između naselja i kule, čime su zatrpani i ostaci mosta. Tijekom Drugoga svjetskog rata talijanski okupatori koristili su kulu kao uporište i magazin, a tada taj baštinski objekt stradava od požara i eksplozija.

Temeljita obnova s izvođenjem armiranobetonske konstrukcije unutar same kule obavljena je krajem 60-ih godina 20. stoljeća na inicijativu Poljoprivredne zadruge "Marina".

- Budući da su istraživanja u tijeku, još smo oprezni s detaljnijom interpretacijom dosad pronađenih nepokretnih arheoloških nalaza, iako je već sada jasno da su ostaci zidanih struktura nesumnjivo pripadali konstrukciji mosta. Pretpostavlja se da ostaci zidova i njihovih temelja predstavljaju više faza izgradnje, dogradnje i obnove kule, odnosno samog mosta koji je povezivao kulu i citadelu (na mjestu gdje se danas nalazi prodavaonica "Studenac", op.a.).

Nadamo se da ćemo prikupiti što veću količinu podataka vezanih uz gradnju i izgled mosta u cilju što jasnije interpretacije i valorizacije prostora između kule i naselja, koja će omogućiti dovršetak uređenja obalne zone. Daljnje mjere postupanja prema ovom zaštićenom kulturnom dobru će donijeti Konzervatorski odjel u Trogiru. Tijek istraživanja dodatno otežava činjenica da, zbog položaja uz samu obalu, morska voda izmjenama plime i oseke, prodire do visine sačuvanih zidanih ostataka mosta - ističe arheolog Jerončić.

Županijska lučka uprava uređuje obalni pojas u Marini, a projekt obuhvaća i prostor uz utvrđeno naselje i kulu koja je simbol tog općinskog središta.

Budući da je povijesna cjelina naselja zaštićena kao kulturno dobro, bilo je potrebno obaviti arheološka istraživanja oko kule. Nositelj istraživanja koja su u tijeku je splitska tvrtka "Kaducej", a stručni voditelji su arheolozi Josip Burmaz iz "Kaduceja" i Tomislav Jerončić iz tvrtke "Arheorad".

Poznato je da se Marina nalazi u dnu dubokog zaljeva u kojem su potvrđena nalazišta još iz najranijih povijesnih razdoblja. Krajem 15. stoljeća biskup Franjo Marcel dobio je odobrenje od trogirskog kneza da sagradi utvrdu zbog prisutne opasnosti od provale Osmanlija.

Središnji dio pravokutnog naselja koje se nalazilo uz obalu mora opasan je zidinama s kulama. Sjeveroistočno od utvrđenog naselja - citadele izgrađen je visoki Kaštel koji je u potpunosti bio okružen morem, a pristupalo mu se preko mosta.

Sredinom 17. stoljeća, tijekom opsade Marine, tada poznate pod imenom Bosiljina, u vrijeme Kandijskog rata između Mletaka i Osmanlija, utvrda je bila znatno oštećena. Završetkom rata omogućena je i obnova kule koju svjedoče natpisi na nadvratnicima portala s imenom biskupa Vidovića i 1717. godinom.

Krajem 18. stoljeća Bosiljina se još uvijek spominje kao biskupski feud. Vjerojatno početkom 20. stoljeća obavljeno je proširenje rive kada je nasut kanal između naselja i kule, čime su zatrpani i ostaci mosta. Tijekom Drugoga svjetskog rata talijanski okupatori koristili su kulu kao uporište i magazin, a tada taj baštinski objekt stradava od požara i eksplozija.

Temeljita obnova s izvođenjem armiranobetonske konstrukcije unutar same kule obavljena je krajem 60-ih godina 20. stoljeća na inicijativu Poljoprivredne zadruge "Marina".

- Budući da su istraživanja u tijeku, još smo oprezni s detaljnijom interpretacijom dosad pronađenih nepokretnih arheoloških nalaza, iako je već sada jasno da su ostaci zidanih struktura nesumnjivo pripadali konstrukciji mosta. Pretpostavlja se da ostaci zidova i njihovih temelja predstavljaju više faza izgradnje, dogradnje i obnove kule, odnosno samog mosta koji je povezivao kulu i citadelu (na mjestu gdje se danas nalazi prodavaonica "Studenac", op.a.).
