Ako 2025. zaplovi kako je planirano, EARTH 300 bi mogla postati najveća jahta na svijetu, duga 300 metara i dovoljno visoka da se baš nikako ne može provući ispod Pelješkog mosta. Njezin futuristički dizajn, koji potpisuju tvrtka Iddes Yachts i nautički arhitekt Iván Salas Jefferson, dosad je neviđen i, nemojte zamjeriti, do sad neviđeno na moru. No, jahta će zapravo služiti za oceanografska i klimatska istraživanja. Taj segment s 22 laboratorija smješten je u 13 paluba visokoj okrugloj krmenoj kupoli koja dočarava Zemlju, istu onu po kojoj je Earth dobila ime i koju ova jahta želi spasiti.

Uz 165 članova posade ovaj ploveći laboratorij, čija će istraživanja biti javno dostupna cijeloj znanstvenoj zajednici, može udobno smjestiti 160 znanstvenika, 20 stalnih eksperata, 20 studenata i 40 VIP gostiju, bez kojih je znanost danas nemoguće financirati. Cijena brodske karte za VIP goste bit će stoga skromna 3 milijuna dolara. Posada i znanstvenici smješteni su u klasičnom nadgrađu koje je dizajnirala poljska tvrtka NED, a karakteriziraju ga različiti geometrijski oblici balkona i prozora koji brodu daju svemirski štih. Dojam pojačava i 46 metara dugi vidikovac koji balansira na gornjoj palubi, te pramčani helidrom i čitav niz podvodnih plovila smještenih u utrobi broda.

Treba li naglašavati da je pogon nuklearni, kreiran u reaktoru od otopljene soli po tehnologiji TerraPowera, tvrtke koju je utemeljio Bill Gates radi nuklearnih inovacija? Nikad ranije kvantni kompjuteri i reaktor s nultom emisijom ovakvog tipa nisu instalirani na neko plovilo. Štoviše, cijeli je brod neka vrsta plovećeg kompjutora, pa će mu i cijena biti od 300 do 500 milijuna funti. Projekt podržavaju megakompanije poput IBM-a, Triton Submarinesa, EYOS Expeditions i RINA, koja je među najvećim klasifikacijskim društvima u sektoru kružnih putovanja.

Ako 2025. zaplovi kako je planirano, EARTH 300 bi mogla postati najveća jahta na svijetu, duga 300 metara i dovoljno visoka da se baš nikako ne može provući ispod Pelješkog mosta. Njezin futuristički dizajn, koji potpisuju tvrtka Iddes Yachts i nautički arhitekt Iván Salas Jefferson, dosad je neviđen i, nemojte zamjeriti, do sad neviđeno na moru. No, jahta će zapravo služiti za oceanografska i klimatska istraživanja. Taj segment s 22 laboratorija smješten je u 13 paluba visokoj okrugloj krmenoj kupoli koja dočarava Zemlju, istu onu po kojoj je Earth dobila ime i koju ova jahta želi spasiti.

Uz 165 članova posade ovaj ploveći laboratorij, čija će istraživanja biti javno dostupna cijeloj znanstvenoj zajednici, može udobno smjestiti 160 znanstvenika, 20 stalnih eksperata, 20 studenata i 40 VIP gostiju, bez kojih je znanost danas nemoguće financirati. Cijena brodske karte za VIP goste bit će stoga skromna 3 milijuna dolara. Posada i znanstvenici smješteni su u klasičnom nadgrađu koje je dizajnirala poljska tvrtka NED, a karakteriziraju ga različiti geometrijski oblici balkona i prozora koji brodu daju svemirski štih. Dojam pojačava i 46 metara dugi vidikovac koji balansira na gornjoj palubi, te pramčani helidrom i čitav niz podvodnih plovila smještenih u utrobi broda.

Ako 2025. zaplovi kako je planirano, EARTH 300 bi mogla postati najveća jahta na svijetu, duga 300 metara i dovoljno visoka da se baš nikako ne može provući ispod Pelješkog mosta. Njezin futuristički dizajn, koji potpisuju tvrtka Iddes Yachts i nautički arhitekt Iván Salas Jefferson, dosad je neviđen i, nemojte zamjeriti, do sad neviđeno na moru. No, jahta će zapravo služiti za oceanografska i klimatska istraživanja. Taj segment s 22 laboratorija smješten je u 13 paluba visokoj okrugloj krmenoj kupoli koja dočarava Zemlju, istu onu po kojoj je Earth dobila ime i koju ova jahta želi spasiti.

Uz 165 članova posade ovaj ploveći laboratorij, čija će istraživanja biti javno dostupna cijeloj znanstvenoj zajednici, može udobno smjestiti 160 znanstvenika, 20 stalnih eksperata, 20 studenata i 40 VIP gostiju, bez kojih je znanost danas nemoguće financirati. Cijena brodske karte za VIP goste bit će stoga skromna 3 milijuna dolara. Posada i znanstvenici smješteni su u klasičnom nadgrađu koje je dizajnirala poljska tvrtka NED, a karakteriziraju ga različiti geometrijski oblici balkona i prozora koji brodu daju svemirski štih. Dojam pojačava i 46 metara dugi vidikovac koji balansira na gornjoj palubi, te pramčani helidrom i čitav niz podvodnih plovila smještenih u utrobi broda.
