Jedan je muškarac preminuo u subotu, a drugi je u bolnici u subotu nakon što je kit udario i preokrenuo njihovu brodicu tijekom ribolovne ekspedicije u Australiji, priopćile su vlasti.

Policija je priopćila da je jedan muškarac izvučen bez svijesti iz zaljeva Botany, u blizini obale Sydneya, te je kasnije umro, dok je drugi prebačen u bolnicu u stabilnom stanju. Australski mediji pišu da su dvojica muškaraca bili 45 minuta u vodi prije nego što su izvučeni.

"Kit je bio umiješan, tko god je mislio da će se to dogoditi, to je užasno tragično", rekla je ministrica policije Novog Južnog Walesa Yasmin Catley.

Državni ministar hitnih službi Jihad Dib rekao je da je to bila "apsolutna čudna nesreća".

Čamac je "vjerojatno udario kit, uletio i unutar plovila, uzrokujući da se čamac nagne, izbacujući obojicu muškaraca", rekla je policija u priopćenju. Nije identificirala vrstu kita.

Znanstvenica koja proučava podmorje Vanessa Pirotta izjavila je za australske medije da su ovakvi događaji rijetki.

- Ovo je vrlo neuobičajeno... vrijeme je migracije kitova kada promatramo tisuće grbavih kitova kako tijekom ljeta prolaze pokraj Sydneyja natrag prema Antarktiku. Mogu iskočiti kada se najmanje nadate, rekla je.

Prostrana australska obala ugošćuje 10 velikih i 20 manjih vrsta kitova. Dok su ljudske smrti uzrokovane kitovima u regiji rijetke, Australija i susjedni Novi Zeland lokacije su masovnog nasukavanja kitova na plažama.

Osam Danaca spašeno je u lipnju kada se njihova jedrilica prevrnula u Tihom oceanu nakon sudara s jednim ili dva kita.

Jedan je muškarac preminuo u subotu, a drugi je u bolnici u subotu nakon što je kit udario i preokrenuo njihovu brodicu tijekom ribolovne ekspedicije u Australiji, priopćile su vlasti.

Policija je priopćila da je jedan muškarac izvučen bez svijesti iz zaljeva Botany, u blizini obale Sydneya, te je kasnije umro, dok je drugi prebačen u bolnicu u stabilnom stanju. Australski mediji pišu da su dvojica muškaraca bili 45 minuta u vodi prije nego što su izvučeni.

"Kit je bio umiješan, tko god je mislio da će se to dogoditi, to je užasno tragično", rekla je ministrica policije Novog Južnog Walesa Yasmin Catley.

Državni ministar hitnih službi Jihad Dib rekao je da je to bila "apsolutna čudna nesreća".

Čamac je "vjerojatno udario kit, uletio i unutar plovila, uzrokujući da se čamac nagne, izbacujući obojicu muškaraca", rekla je policija u priopćenju. Nije identificirala vrstu kita.

Znanstvenica koja proučava podmorje Vanessa Pirotta izjavila je za australske medije da su ovakvi događaji rijetki.

- Ovo je vrlo neuobičajeno... vrijeme je migracije kitova kada promatramo tisuće grbavih kitova kako tijekom ljeta prolaze pokraj Sydneyja natrag prema Antarktiku. Mogu iskočiti kada se najmanje nadate, rekla je.

Prostrana australska obala ugošćuje 10 velikih i 20 manjih vrsta kitova. Dok su ljudske smrti uzrokovane kitovima u regiji rijetke, Australija i susjedni Novi Zeland lokacije su masovnog nasukavanja kitova na plažama.

Osam Danaca spašeno je u lipnju kada se njihova jedrilica prevrnula u Tihom oceanu nakon sudara s jednim ili dva kita.

Jedan je muškarac preminuo u subotu, a drugi je u bolnici u subotu nakon što je kit udario i preokrenuo njihovu brodicu tijekom ribolovne ekspedicije u Australiji, priopćile su vlasti.

Policija je priopćila da je jedan muškarac izvučen bez svijesti iz zaljeva Botany, u blizini obale Sydneya, te je kasnije umro, dok je drugi prebačen u bolnicu u stabilnom stanju. Australski mediji pišu da su dvojica muškaraca bili 45 minuta u vodi prije nego što su izvučeni.

"Kit je bio umiješan, tko god je mislio da će se to dogoditi, to je užasno tragično", rekla je ministrica policije Novog Južnog Walesa Yasmin Catley.

Državni ministar hitnih službi Jihad Dib rekao je da je to bila "apsolutna čudna nesreća".

Čamac je "vjerojatno udario kit, uletio i unutar plovila, uzrokujući da se čamac nagne, izbacujući obojicu muškaraca", rekla je policija u priopćenju. Nije identificirala vrstu kita.

Znanstvenica koja proučava podmorje Vanessa Pirotta izjavila je za australske medije da su ovakvi događaji rijetki.

- Ovo je vrlo neuobičajeno... vrijeme je migracije kitova kada promatramo tisuće grbavih kitova kako tijekom ljeta prolaze pokraj Sydneyja natrag prema Antarktiku. Mogu iskočiti kada se najmanje nadate, rekla je.

Prostrana australska obala ugošćuje 10 velikih i 20 manjih vrsta kitova. Dok su ljudske smrti uzrokovane kitovima u regiji rijetke, Australija i susjedni Novi Zeland lokacije su masovnog nasukavanja kitova na plažama.

Osam Danaca spašeno je u lipnju kada se njihova jedrilica prevrnula u Tihom oceanu nakon sudara s jednim ili dva kita.
