Posljednih godina mnoge prijevozničke kompanije osmišljavaju nove načine kako prevesti robu, pa umjesto uobičajenih teretnih brodova, tankera, ulažu u posebno dizajnirane jedrenjake.

Na tom tragu je i plan francuske brodarske firme Windcoop koja pokreće financiranje svog teretnog jedrenjaka i to preko platforme Lita.co, digitalne platforme za održivo, ekološko gospodarstvo.

Uz cijenu od oko dvadeset milijuna eura, ovaj brod kontejner na jedra povezivat će, prema planu od 2025. godine, ​​Francusku s Madagaskarom.

Brod će biti dug 85 metara, a bit će namijenjen za prijevoz začina: vanilije, kurkume, đumbira, papra, cimeta, klinčića...

- Odavno nam je želja krenuti s transportom s niskim udjelom ugljika za prijevoz organskih začina kako bismo slijedili naš odgovoran i održiv pristup, započet prije 30 godina. Stoga smo odlučili sagraditi ovakvu jednu jedrilicu, a već imamo tri potencijalna kupca, objašnjava Matthieu Brunet, suosnivač tvrtke Windcoop.

Naime, švedsko ministarstvo transporta, Kraljevski institut tehnologije, konzultantska tvrtka SSPA i brodarska grupacija Wallenius Marine,planiraju graditi ro-ro jedrenjak s pet jarbola koji će moći primiti 7000 vozila. Kad bude sagrađen, Oceanbird će s 200 m dužine i 40 m širine biti najveći cargo jedrenjak na svijetu. Njime bi se emisija štetnih plinova za vrijeme plovidbe smanjila za 90 posto. No, njegova brzina biti malo niža pa će Atlantik prelaziti za 12 dana.

Imat će pet teleskopskih jarbola čija će maksimalna visina dosezati 80 metara. Usporedbe radi, najveći jarbol poznatog klipera Cutty Sark visok je 47 metara.

Prvo plovilo s prototipom jedara s krilima zaplovit će 2024. godine, najavljuju Šveđani.

Posljednih godina mnoge prijevozničke kompanije osmišljavaju nove načine kako prevesti robu, pa umjesto uobičajenih teretnih brodova, tankera, ulažu u posebno dizajnirane jedrenjake.

Na tom tragu je i plan francuske brodarske firme Windcoop koja pokreće financiranje svog teretnog jedrenjaka i to preko platforme Lita.co, digitalne platforme za održivo, ekološko gospodarstvo.

Uz cijenu od oko dvadeset milijuna eura, ovaj brod kontejner na jedra povezivat će, prema planu od 2025. godine, ​​Francusku s Madagaskarom.

Brod će biti dug 85 metara, a bit će namijenjen za prijevoz začina: vanilije, kurkume, đumbira, papra, cimeta, klinčića...

- Odavno nam je želja krenuti s transportom s niskim udjelom ugljika za prijevoz organskih začina kako bismo slijedili naš odgovoran i održiv pristup, započet prije 30 godina. Stoga smo odlučili sagraditi ovakvu jednu jedrilicu, a već imamo tri potencijalna kupca, objašnjava Matthieu Brunet, suosnivač tvrtke Windcoop.

Naime, švedsko ministarstvo transporta, Kraljevski institut tehnologije, konzultantska tvrtka SSPA i brodarska grupacija Wallenius Marine,planiraju graditi ro-ro jedrenjak s pet jarbola koji će moći primiti 7000 vozila. Kad bude sagrađen, Oceanbird će s 200 m dužine i 40 m širine biti najveći cargo jedrenjak na svijetu. Njime bi se emisija štetnih plinova za vrijeme plovidbe smanjila za 90 posto. No, njegova brzina biti malo niža pa će Atlantik prelaziti za 12 dana.

Imat će pet teleskopskih jarbola čija će maksimalna visina dosezati 80 metara. Usporedbe radi, najveći jarbol poznatog klipera Cutty Sark visok je 47 metara.

Prvo plovilo s prototipom jedara s krilima zaplovit će 2024. godine, najavljuju Šveđani.
