Jedriličari-samci, koji se natječu na Vendee Globeu, utrci oko svijeta bez zaustavljanja, proslavili su Božić na svojim brodovima po velikim valovima Južnog oceana, na potezu između rta Horn i obale Novog Zelanda.  

Deveto izdanje Vendée Globea krenulo je 8. studenoga iz francuske luke, a na otprilike pola puta oko svijeta Francuz Charlie Dalin je na Božić preuzeo vodstvo od sunarodnjaka Yannicka Bestavena, koji sada zaostaje oko 34 nautičke milje (60 kilometara) .

Treći je Nijemac Boris Herrmann s zaostatkom od 225 nautičkih milja, a četvrti je najstariji sudionik utrke Francuz Jean Le Cam, koji za razliku od trojice ispred njega, plovi na starom tipu jedrilice bez dodataka koji omogućuju da se brod uzdigne iznad površine vode.

Flota od 27 jedrilica, šest ih je odustalo, približava se Point Nemu, najudaljenijoj točki svijeta, 1451 nautičkih milja udaljenoj od najbližeg kopna. Tu zamišljenu točku usred oceana je 1992. godine definirao hrvatsko-kanadski istraživački inženjer Hrvoje Lukatela i dao joj ime Nemo po uzoru na kapetana Nema iz Jules Vernovog romana "20.000 milja pod morem". Lukatela je tada tvrdio da je nekome tko se nađe u Point Nemu najbliži čovjek biti astronaut iz Međunarodne svemirske postaje (ISS) koja leti 400 kilometara iznad Zemlje. 

Vendee Globe je najteža jedriličarska regata na svijetu o čemu svjedoči i činjenica da je od ukupno 167 jedriličara-samaca koji su startali u osam izdanja na cilj došlo njih 89.

Jedriličari-samci, koji se natječu na Vendee Globeu, utrci oko svijeta bez zaustavljanja, proslavili su Božić na svojim brodovima po velikim valovima Južnog oceana, na potezu između rta Horn i obale Novog Zelanda.  

Deveto izdanje Vendée Globea krenulo je 8. studenoga iz francuske luke, a na otprilike pola puta oko svijeta Francuz Charlie Dalin je na Božić preuzeo vodstvo od sunarodnjaka Yannicka Bestavena, koji sada zaostaje oko 34 nautičke milje (60 kilometara) .

Treći je Nijemac Boris Herrmann s zaostatkom od 225 nautičkih milja, a četvrti je najstariji sudionik utrke Francuz Jean Le Cam, koji za razliku od trojice ispred njega, plovi na starom tipu jedrilice bez dodataka koji omogućuju da se brod uzdigne iznad površine vode.

Flota od 27 jedrilica, šest ih je odustalo, približava se Point Nemu, najudaljenijoj točki svijeta, 1451 nautičkih milja udaljenoj od najbližeg kopna. Tu zamišljenu točku usred oceana je 1992. godine definirao hrvatsko-kanadski istraživački inženjer Hrvoje Lukatela i dao joj ime Nemo po uzoru na kapetana Nema iz Jules Vernovog romana "20.000 milja pod morem". Lukatela je tada tvrdio da je nekome tko se nađe u Point Nemu najbliži čovjek biti astronaut iz Međunarodne svemirske postaje (ISS) koja leti 400 kilometara iznad Zemlje. 

Vendee Globe je najteža jedriličarska regata na svijetu o čemu svjedoči i činjenica da je od ukupno 167 jedriličara-samaca koji su startali u osam izdanja na cilj došlo njih 89.

Jedriličari-samci, koji se natječu na Vendee Globeu, utrci oko svijeta bez zaustavljanja, proslavili su Božić na svojim brodovima po velikim valovima Južnog oceana, na potezu između rta Horn i obale Novog Zelanda.  

Deveto izdanje Vendée Globea krenulo je 8. studenoga iz francuske luke, a na otprilike pola puta oko svijeta Francuz Charlie Dalin je na Božić preuzeo vodstvo od sunarodnjaka Yannicka Bestavena, koji sada zaostaje oko 34 nautičke milje (60 kilometara) .

Treći je Nijemac Boris Herrmann s zaostatkom od 225 nautičkih milja, a četvrti je najstariji sudionik utrke Francuz Jean Le Cam, koji za razliku od trojice ispred njega, plovi na starom tipu jedrilice bez dodataka koji omogućuju da se brod uzdigne iznad površine vode.

Flota od 27 jedrilica, šest ih je odustalo, približava se Point Nemu, najudaljenijoj točki svijeta, 1451 nautičkih milja udaljenoj od najbližeg kopna. Tu zamišljenu točku usred oceana je 1992. godine definirao hrvatsko-kanadski istraživački inženjer Hrvoje Lukatela i dao joj ime Nemo po uzoru na kapetana Nema iz Jules Vernovog romana "20.000 milja pod morem". Lukatela je tada tvrdio da je nekome tko se nađe u Point Nemu najbliži čovjek biti astronaut iz Međunarodne svemirske postaje (ISS) koja leti 400 kilometara iznad Zemlje. 

Vendee Globe je najteža jedriličarska regata na svijetu o čemu svjedoči i činjenica da je od ukupno 167 jedriličara-samaca koji su startali u osam izdanja na cilj došlo njih 89.
