Znamo svi da skandinavske zemlje već godinama prednjače u ekološkim projektima i zapravo su zvijezda vodilja zelenoga trenda. Za razliku od drugih država čiji čelnici u raznim segmentima najave puno toga, a samo dio se ostvari, nove najave iz Danske i Norveške treba shvatiti vrlo ozbiljno. Naime, ove dvije države udružile su snage, sredstva i znanje kako bi napravile najveći trajekt s pogonom na vodikove gorivne članke.

Čista struja

Za razliku od korištenja vodika kao goriva u motorima s unutarnjim izgaranjem, vodikovi gorivni članci su posve drukčija tehnologija. Oni su tako dizajnirani da elektrokemijskom pretvorbom iz vodika izravno proizvode električnu struju, pri čemu koriste i kisik iz zraka, a ta se struja potom upotrebljava za pokretanje elektromotora.

Zeleni div, kako ga od milja zovu potomci Vikinga na sjeveru Europe, zvat će se Europa Seaways i bit će dio flote DFDS-a, danske međunarodne brodarske i logističke tvrtke osnovane 1866. godine.

Za one koji nisu znali - Det Forenede Dampskibs-Selskab je brodarska kompanija koja uspostavlja najviše prometa u akvatoriju Skandinavije i Europe uopće. To ističemo zato što sudjelovanje ovakvog brodarskog giganta jamči uspjeh cijeloga projekta. Doduše, Danci i Norvežani očekuju financijsku podršku Europske unije iz Inovacijskog fonda (Innovation Fund), čiji budžet doseže 10 milijardi eura.

Nulta emisija do 2035.

No, budući da se ideja gradnje trajekta na vodik uklapa u europsku Sustainable and Smart Mobility strategiju, čiji je krajnji cilj uvođenje plovila s nultom emisijom štetnih plinova do 2035., Skandinavci će vrlo vjerojatno dobiti pozamašnu financijsku injekciju. Pogotovo jer je grupacija Transport & Environment objavila studiju po kojoj je u bliskoj budućnosti izuzetno važno uvođenje vodika kao pogona u brodarskom i zrakoplovnom prometu.

Još se ne znaju gabariti i svi tehnički detalji trajekta s pogonom na vodik uz pomoć gorivnih članaka, ali su objavljene informacije kako će zaploviti 2027. na relaciji Kopenhagen – Oslo. Iz DFDS-a napominju kako će biti najveći hydrogen trajekt na svijetu, te prevoziti 1800 putnika, odnosno 380 osobnih automobila ili 120 kamiona. Ujedno će biti vrlo moćan po pitanju pogona, jer će imati gorivne članke snage 23 megavata koji mu omogućuju plovidbu dugu 48 sati.

Iznimni iskorak

- Usporedbe radi, dosad su se proizvodili gorivni članci najveće snage od 1 do 5 MW, pa je ugradnja ovako moćnog sustava od čak 23 MW u jedan brod iznimni iskorak u budućnost – kazao je medijima Torben Carlsen, predsjednik DFDS-a.

On je dodao kako se tako veliki projekt može ostvariti samo suradnjom velikih tvrtki, što uključuje dansku kompaniju Orsted koja će isporučivati zeleni vodik što ga proizvode korištenjem električne energije svojih brojnih vjetroelektrana. Štoviše, oni već planiraju gradnju dodatnih kapaciteta za proizvodnju zelenog vodika koji će uskoro postati i gorivo za brodove i zrakoplove.

U svakom slučaju, sve je tako pomno isplanirano, a uz to i vrlo značajno a ekološkog aspekta, da gotovo nitko ne sumnja kako će Europa Seaways zaploviti 2027. Naime, eminentni stručnjaci EU-a izračunali su da će ovaj trajekt ukloniti s ceste 13.000 automobila, što bi trebalo značiti čak 64.000 tona ugljičnog dioksida manje svake godine.

Trajekti su početak

- Trajekti su odličan početak za plovila nulte emisije, nakon čega će jednog dana i kontejneraši dobiti isti pogon. Uostalom, sjetimo se samo početaka u javnom cestovnom transportu – najprije su autobusi dobili pogon na struju i vodik, a onda na red dolaze kamioni – rekao je Anders Nordstrom iz kompanije Orsted.

Znamo svi da skandinavske zemlje već godinama prednjače u ekološkim projektima i zapravo su zvijezda vodilja zelenoga trenda. Za razliku od drugih država čiji čelnici u raznim segmentima najave puno toga, a samo dio se ostvari, nove najave iz Danske i Norveške treba shvatiti vrlo ozbiljno. Naime, ove dvije države udružile su snage, sredstva i znanje kako bi napravile najveći trajekt s pogonom na vodikove gorivne članke.

Čista struja

Za razliku od korištenja vodika kao goriva u motorima s unutarnjim izgaranjem, vodikovi gorivni članci su posve drukčija tehnologija. Oni su tako dizajnirani da elektrokemijskom pretvorbom iz vodika izravno proizvode električnu struju, pri čemu koriste i kisik iz zraka, a ta se struja potom upotrebljava za pokretanje elektromotora.

Zeleni div, kako ga od milja zovu potomci Vikinga na sjeveru Europe, zvat će se Europa Seaways i bit će dio flote DFDS-a, danske međunarodne brodarske i logističke tvrtke osnovane 1866. godine.

Za one koji nisu znali - Det Forenede Dampskibs-Selskab je brodarska kompanija koja uspostavlja najviše prometa u akvatoriju Skandinavije i Europe uopće. To ističemo zato što sudjelovanje ovakvog brodarskog giganta jamči uspjeh cijeloga projekta. Doduše, Danci i Norvežani očekuju financijsku podršku Europske unije iz Inovacijskog fonda (Innovation Fund), čiji budžet doseže 10 milijardi eura.

Nulta emisija do 2035.

No, budući da se ideja gradnje trajekta na vodik uklapa u europsku Sustainable and Smart Mobility strategiju, čiji je krajnji cilj uvođenje plovila s nultom emisijom štetnih plinova do 2035., Skandinavci će vrlo vjerojatno dobiti pozamašnu financijsku injekciju. Pogotovo jer je grupacija Transport & Environment objavila studiju po kojoj je u bliskoj budućnosti izuzetno važno uvođenje vodika kao pogona u brodarskom i zrakoplovnom prometu.

Još se ne znaju gabariti i svi tehnički detalji trajekta s pogonom na vodik uz pomoć gorivnih članaka, ali su objavljene informacije kako će zaploviti 2027. na relaciji Kopenhagen – Oslo. Iz DFDS-a napominju kako će biti najveći hydrogen trajekt na svijetu, te prevoziti 1800 putnika, odnosno 380 osobnih automobila ili 120 kamiona. Ujedno će biti vrlo moćan po pitanju pogona, jer će imati gorivne članke snage 23 megavata koji mu omogućuju plovidbu dugu 48 sati.

Iznimni iskorak

- Usporedbe radi, dosad su se proizvodili gorivni članci najveće snage od 1 do 5 MW, pa je ugradnja ovako moćnog sustava od čak 23 MW u jedan brod iznimni iskorak u budućnost – kazao je medijima Torben Carlsen, predsjednik DFDS-a.

On je dodao kako se tako veliki projekt može ostvariti samo suradnjom velikih tvrtki, što uključuje dansku kompaniju Orsted koja će isporučivati zeleni vodik što ga proizvode korištenjem električne energije svojih brojnih vjetroelektrana. Štoviše, oni već planiraju gradnju dodatnih kapaciteta za proizvodnju zelenog vodika koji će uskoro postati i gorivo za brodove i zrakoplove.

U svakom slučaju, sve je tako pomno isplanirano, a uz to i vrlo značajno a ekološkog aspekta, da gotovo nitko ne sumnja kako će Europa Seaways zaploviti 2027. Naime, eminentni stručnjaci EU-a izračunali su da će ovaj trajekt ukloniti s ceste 13.000 automobila, što bi trebalo značiti čak 64.000 tona ugljičnog dioksida manje svake godine.

Trajekti su početak

- Trajekti su odličan početak za plovila nulte emisije, nakon čega će jednog dana i kontejneraši dobiti isti pogon. Uostalom, sjetimo se samo početaka u javnom cestovnom transportu – najprije su autobusi dobili pogon na struju i vodik, a onda na red dolaze kamioni – rekao je Anders Nordstrom iz kompanije Orsted.
