Iako stručnjaci tvrde kako je Covid-19 bolest od koje se većina ljudi oporavi u roku od nekoliko tjedana, upozoravaju sve češće i na postojanje tzv. "dugog Covida" koji otežava život pacijenata i nekoliko mjeseci nakon oporavka.
Neki od simptoma ovoga stanja su kratak dah, probadanje u prsima i umor, a radi se o tri najčešća. Ostali uključuju glavobolju, bol u mišićima, probleme sa sluhom i vidom te gubitak osjetila mirisa i okusa. Posljedice na mentalno zdravlje pacijenata također nisu zanemarive, upozoravaju stručnjaci, a one uključuju anksioznost, pa u nekim slučajevima i depresiju.
No najučestaliji simptom je grozan umor.
Svoje je iskustvo s dugim Covid-19 opisala i reporterka AlJazeere Dalija Hasanbegović. Njen opis na tragu je simptoma koje izdvajaju stručnjaci diljem svijeta na temelju dosad proučenih slučaja oboljelih od koronavirusa, no iznijela je i mučne detalje koji su joj posljednjih mjeseci zagorčavali život.
- Znate li da postoji i #LongCovid ili produženi covid? Negativni ste na PCR brisevima, niste zarazni i opasni za okolinu, ali imate karakteristične simptome, neki traju, neki se povremeno jave, buknu i nestanu. Vi niste potpuno dobro, osjećate da vam neki vampir iznutra jede snagu i da nešto nije u redu, ali zbunjujete doktore jer ste negativni i tako ostajete bez terapije, počinje svoju ispovijest novinarka AlJazeere.
Opisuje potom kako se njen suprug borio s obostranom upalom pluća kao posljedicom koronavirusa, dok su njeni simptomi "dolazili i odlazili" još od ljeta. Tek je u rujnu osjetila one "školske", glavobolju, umor, kašalj, kratak dah, povišenu tjelesnu temperaturu...
- Svi sitni simptomi kulminiraju nekad oko mog rođendana, krajem listopada. Dobijam divlju groznicu, temperatura ide iznad 39, ruke i noge ne mogu kontrolirati koliko se tresu dok temperatura jako brzo raste, opisuje mučno stanje Hasanbegović.
Nakon liječenja antibioticima slijedi ogroman umor. No za čitavo ovo vrijeme, testovi su bili negativni. Svoj slučaj objašnjava hipotezom:
- Stručnjaci nude pretpostavke bazirane na informacijama sa terena, a za moj slučaj su mi se najprikladnijim učinile hipoteze dr. Akiko Iwasaki, profesorice na katedri imunobiologije Medicinskog fakulteta na sveučilištu Yale. Ona smatra da u ovim slučajevima produženog Covida #longcovid, novi koronavirus napravi rezervoar u nekom organu, najčešće plućima, srcu, bubrezima ili crijevima i daje kontinuirane simptome iako je pacijent negativan na PCR testovima.
Iako se čini kako je ova bolest iza nje, novinarka naglašava kako je u svakodnevnom životu vrlo oprezna, a čitateljima savjetuje nošenje maski i brigu o higijeni.

Iako stručnjaci tvrde kako je Covid-19 bolest od koje se većina ljudi oporavi u roku od nekoliko tjedana, upozoravaju sve češće i na postojanje tzv. "dugog Covida" koji otežava život pacijenata i nekoliko mjeseci nakon oporavka.
Neki od simptoma ovoga stanja su kratak dah, probadanje u prsima i umor, a radi se o tri najčešća. Ostali uključuju glavobolju, bol u mišićima, probleme sa sluhom i vidom te gubitak osjetila mirisa i okusa. Posljedice na mentalno zdravlje pacijenata također nisu zanemarive, upozoravaju stručnjaci, a one uključuju anksioznost, pa u nekim slučajevima i depresiju.
No najučestaliji simptom je grozan umor.
Svoje je iskustvo s dugim Covid-19 opisala i reporterka AlJazeere Dalija Hasanbegović. Njen opis na tragu je simptoma koje izdvajaju stručnjaci diljem svijeta na temelju dosad proučenih slučaja oboljelih od koronavirusa, no iznijela je i mučne detalje koji su joj posljednjih mjeseci zagorčavali život.
- Znate li da postoji i #LongCovid ili produženi covid? Negativni ste na PCR brisevima, niste zarazni i opasni za okolinu, ali imate karakteristične simptome, neki traju, neki se povremeno jave, buknu i nestanu. Vi niste potpuno dobro, osjećate da vam neki vampir iznutra jede snagu i da nešto nije u redu, ali zbunjujete doktore jer ste negativni i tako ostajete bez terapije, počinje svoju ispovijest novinarka AlJazeere.
Opisuje potom kako se njen suprug borio s obostranom upalom pluća kao posljedicom koronavirusa, dok su njeni simptomi "dolazili i odlazili" još od ljeta. Tek je u rujnu osjetila one "školske", glavobolju, umor, kašalj, kratak dah, povišenu tjelesnu temperaturu...
- Svi sitni simptomi kulminiraju nekad oko mog rođendana, krajem listopada. Dobijam divlju groznicu, temperatura ide iznad 39, ruke i noge ne mogu kontrolirati koliko se tresu dok temperatura jako brzo raste, opisuje mučno stanje Hasanbegović.
Nakon liječenja antibioticima slijedi ogroman umor. No za čitavo ovo vrijeme, testovi su bili negativni. Svoj slučaj objašnjava hipotezom:
- Stručnjaci nude pretpostavke bazirane na informacijama sa terena, a za moj slučaj su mi se najprikladnijim učinile hipoteze dr. Akiko Iwasaki, profesorice na katedri imunobiologije Medicinskog fakulteta na sveučilištu Yale. Ona smatra da u ovim slučajevima produženog Covida #longcovid, novi koronavirus napravi rezervoar u nekom organu, najčešće plućima, srcu, bubrezima ili crijevima i daje kontinuirane simptome iako je pacijent negativan na PCR testovima.
Iako se čini kako je ova bolest iza nje, novinarka naglašava kako je u svakodnevnom životu vrlo oprezna, a čitateljima savjetuje nošenje maski i brigu o higijeni.
