Od trenutka kada ujutro provjeravamo svoj e-mail, do gledanja televizije predvečer prije spavanja, tehnički uređaji sastavni su dio naše svakodnevice od trenutka kada se probudimo do trenutka kada zaspimo. Nažalost, to može značiti da si činimo loše i to ne samo radi potencijalnih problema s nesanicom, već i generalnim zdravljem pa i težinom.

U studiji objavljenoj ovoga lipnja u 'Scientific Reportsu' dokazan je negativni učinak koji ekran može imati na kvalitetu sna i zatim na mršavljenje. Skupina od 10 odraslih muškaraca bila je izložena svjetlosnoj diodi (LED), organskoj diodi koja emitira svjetlost (OLED) ili prigušenom svjetlu četiri sata prije nego što su zaspali u metaboličkoj komori, a pritom su ih pratili istraživači.

Istraživači su otkrili da su ispitanici koji su bili izloženi LED svjetlu doživjeli značajno smanjenje sposobnosti sagorijevanja masti dok su spavali.

"Iako nije primijećen utjecaj na broj sati spavanja, potrošnja energije i temeljna tjelesna temperatura tijekom spavanja značajno su se smanjili nakon izlaganja OLED-u. Nadalje, oksidacija masti tijekom spavanja bila je značajno niža nakon izlaganja LED-u u usporedbi s OLED-om," rekao je jedan od starijih autora studije dr. Kumpei Tokuyama, profesor u školi za zdravstvene i sportske znanosti na Sveučilištu Tsukuba.

Prema Tokuyami, to može značiti da bi korištenje uređaja koji emitira svjetlost prije spavanja moglo otežati gubitak kilograma ili čak s vremenom dovesti do debljanja. Iako izloženost OLED-ovima u odnosu na LED-ice ima manji negativni učinak, smanjenje potrošnje energije tijekom spavanja ispitanika još je uvijek bilo dovoljno upečatljivo da bi dugoročno moglo dovesti do fizioloških promjena.

Ovo nije prvi put da se umjetnu rasvjetu povezuje s potencijalom za debljanje. Prema studiji iz 2019. među promatranom populacijom od 43.722 žene u dobi od 35 do 74 godine, one koje su spavale s upaljenim svjetlom ili televizorom imale su veću stopu pretilosti na početku studije te su imale 17 posto veću vjerojatnost da će se nakon završetka studije udebljati 11 kilograma ili više.

Dakle, ako želite poboljšati kvalitetu svog sna i usput poboljšati svoje zdravlje, pokušajte isključiti te uređaje i svjetla prije nego što se zaputite na večernji poćinak.

Od trenutka kada ujutro provjeravamo svoj e-mail, do gledanja televizije predvečer prije spavanja, tehnički uređaji sastavni su dio naše svakodnevice od trenutka kada se probudimo do trenutka kada zaspimo. Nažalost, to može značiti da si činimo loše i to ne samo radi potencijalnih problema s nesanicom, već i generalnim zdravljem pa i težinom.

U studiji objavljenoj ovoga lipnja u 'Scientific Reportsu' dokazan je negativni učinak koji ekran može imati na kvalitetu sna i zatim na mršavljenje. Skupina od 10 odraslih muškaraca bila je izložena svjetlosnoj diodi (LED), organskoj diodi koja emitira svjetlost (OLED) ili prigušenom svjetlu četiri sata prije nego što su zaspali u metaboličkoj komori, a pritom su ih pratili istraživači.

Istraživači su otkrili da su ispitanici koji su bili izloženi LED svjetlu doživjeli značajno smanjenje sposobnosti sagorijevanja masti dok su spavali.

"Iako nije primijećen utjecaj na broj sati spavanja, potrošnja energije i temeljna tjelesna temperatura tijekom spavanja značajno su se smanjili nakon izlaganja OLED-u. Nadalje, oksidacija masti tijekom spavanja bila je značajno niža nakon izlaganja LED-u u usporedbi s OLED-om," rekao je jedan od starijih autora studije dr. Kumpei Tokuyama, profesor u školi za zdravstvene i sportske znanosti na Sveučilištu Tsukuba.

Prema Tokuyami, to može značiti da bi korištenje uređaja koji emitira svjetlost prije spavanja moglo otežati gubitak kilograma ili čak s vremenom dovesti do debljanja. Iako izloženost OLED-ovima u odnosu na LED-ice ima manji negativni učinak, smanjenje potrošnje energije tijekom spavanja ispitanika još je uvijek bilo dovoljno upečatljivo da bi dugoročno moglo dovesti do fizioloških promjena.

Ovo nije prvi put da se umjetnu rasvjetu povezuje s potencijalom za debljanje. Prema studiji iz 2019. među promatranom populacijom od 43.722 žene u dobi od 35 do 74 godine, one koje su spavale s upaljenim svjetlom ili televizorom imale su veću stopu pretilosti na početku studije te su imale 17 posto veću vjerojatnost da će se nakon završetka studije udebljati 11 kilograma ili više.

Dakle, ako želite poboljšati kvalitetu svog sna i usput poboljšati svoje zdravlje, pokušajte isključiti te uređaje i svjetla prije nego što se zaputite na večernji poćinak.

Od trenutka kada ujutro provjeravamo svoj e-mail, do gledanja televizije predvečer prije spavanja, tehnički uređaji sastavni su dio naše svakodnevice od trenutka kada se probudimo do trenutka kada zaspimo. Nažalost, to može značiti da si činimo loše i to ne samo radi potencijalnih problema s nesanicom, već i generalnim zdravljem pa i težinom.

U studiji objavljenoj ovoga lipnja u 'Scientific Reportsu' dokazan je negativni učinak koji ekran može imati na kvalitetu sna i zatim na mršavljenje. Skupina od 10 odraslih muškaraca bila je izložena svjetlosnoj diodi (LED), organskoj diodi koja emitira svjetlost (OLED) ili prigušenom svjetlu četiri sata prije nego što su zaspali u metaboličkoj komori, a pritom su ih pratili istraživači.
