Svi znamo da je suhi grah zdraviji od konzerviranog, ali isto tako svi puno češće jedemo konzervirani. Praktičniji je i brže gotovo, a idealno za one zaboravljivije koji se rijetko kad sjete potopiti suhi grah preko noći.

Sve ovo je razlog zašto su mnogi moderni recepti prilagođeni konzerviranom grahu pa ih je danas lakše naći nego one za jela koja podrazumijevaju prethodno namočeni. Možda ste primijetili kako mnogi od tih recepata navode kako prije dodavanja graha jelu treba napraviti dodatni korak..

Recepti obično navode kako grah treba ocijediti i isprati prije upotrebe, ali trebate li to doista napraviti? Ovo jednostavno pitanje, začudo, izaziva kontroverze. Neki ga zagovaraju kao nužno, neki tvrde da je riječ o besmislici, a neki za njega nikad nisu ni čuli.

Krenete li malo istraživati, primijetit ćete kako zagovornici ove metode navode da je nužna jer se na taj način grah ispire od konzervansa, ali i od viška soli, koji nekima može škoditi. Spominje se kako se ispiranjem graha može ukloniti preko 30 posto soli, što nije zanemarivo ako ste bubrežni bolesnik ili imate neku drugu zdravstvenu tegobu zbog koje morate paziti koliko soli unosite u organizam.

Ako ste, pak, relativno zdrava osoba, navode drugi, u konzerviranom grahu možete uživati bez da ga prethodno ocijedite ili isperete. Hoćete li to napraviti ovisit će o jelu koje pripremate.

Kako tekućina u kojoj je grah konzerviran pored soli sadrži i škrob, može utjecati na teksturu jela - ponekad je dobro u jelo dodati malo škroba jer će ga zgusnuti, drugi put to nije poželjno. Primjerice, ako radite salatu od graha, pomalo sluzav i ljepljiv film koji može ostati na zrnju graha neće vam nimalo popraviti uživanje u jelu pa ćete ga trebati isprati, dok će vam za jela poput paštafažola i fažola sa suvim mesom bolje odgovarati grah koji nije ispran ni procijeđen.

Svi znamo da je suhi grah zdraviji od konzerviranog, ali isto tako svi puno češće jedemo konzervirani. Praktičniji je i brže gotovo, a idealno za one zaboravljivije koji se rijetko kad sjete potopiti suhi grah preko noći.

Kako tekućina u kojoj je grah konzerviran pored soli sadrži i škrob, može utjecati na teksturu jela - ponekad je dobro u jelo dodati malo škroba jer će ga zgusnuti, drugi put to nije poželjno. Primjerice, ako radite salatu od graha, pomalo sluzav i ljepljiv film koji može ostati na zrnju graha neće vam nimalo popraviti uživanje u jelu pa ćete ga trebati isprati, dok će vam za jela poput paštafažola i fažola sa suvim mesom bolje odgovarati grah koji nije ispran ni procijeđen.

Svi znamo da je suhi grah zdraviji od konzerviranog, ali isto tako svi puno češće jedemo konzervirani. Praktičniji je i brže gotovo, a idealno za one zaboravljivije koji se rijetko kad sjete potopiti suhi grah preko noći.
